Nurse Elly Blackstock is looking for a second chance. When she starts work at the mysterious Overflow, however, she soon discovers that this particular hospital ward is unlike any other.
One of the patients is an old man with a dark and murderous past. Another patient has been condemned to a life of darkness and silence. Meanwhile, ghosts stalk the hospital's corridors, and more dead souls are on their way. And as she struggles to get used to life at the Overflow, Elly also has to contend with her supervisor.
Nurse Kirsten Winter is desperately hunting for Annie Radford. What she finds, however, is a terrifying sign of the true horror yet to come. Something survived the fall of Lakehurst, something that even now plots and schemes to find its way back into the world.
Meds is the second book in the Asylum trilogy. This is the 2022 edition of the original 2015 book.

This 2nd book was as good as book 1. It didn't have as much WHAT moments but the story was just as intense. You learn a little more more about what happens and the why of everything but it still leaves you with questions. There seemed to be less cast of characters in this one but strangely was more connected to book 1 characters a little more. I'm really looking forward to reading the final book in this series and concluding the final piece of the story.
The second book continues the first read without any loss of the thrill or interesting characters. The storyline, and it’s twists, just gets better as you read. Once you start, you don’t want to put it down.
