I suppose it all started half a lifetime ago when a mean-looking kid named Griff walked into my life. When we found the stability in one another we couldn’t find in the world. When two lonely kids became brothers. As kids, we had no place in the world, so as men, we made our own. We took on everything together, building our own empire—partners in business and in life.
I guess that’s where it got complicated. When I fell in love with Moira, and Griff had to share me for the first time. When he liked what belonged to me just a little too much, and he started avoiding both of us until he came up with his own shitty way of coping.
I don’t know exactly when it all started, to be honest, but I know when it all fell apart. There are exactly two people in the world who have my love, so what the hell am I supposed to do when holding onto one means losing the other? What I always do, I guess. Handle it.

Sam Mariano has been writing stories for as long as she can remember. She lives in Ohio and has a sweet and wonderful daughter. Because of You was her first finished story (she started writing it when she was 18) and due to a full-time work and college schedule, it took her years to finish. She has also been telling people for years that there would never be a sequel (sorry, guys!)…which turned out to be a lie. Sam Mariano is currently working on Dante’s book (if you’re a Morelli reader) and some other WIP. Feel free to find her on Facebook, Goodreads, or her blog—she loves hearing from readers!
Warning: Reading this novel may require several changes of underwear.
Stitch is a brand new standalone MFM menage romance by Sam Mariano. When I saw it mentioned on social media, I jumped on the chance to get my hands on it as soon as possible. Why? First, I LOVE MFM menage! Second, two of the three main characters are already married. That's double the taboo which means twice the fun for me! Third, I'm a fan of the author's Morelli Family series already, and I had faith that she would do a good job with this one.
Sebastion and Griff have been best friends since their days in foster care. They've always shared everything and as adults, even went into business together. The only thing they didn't share was their wives.
Sebastian and Moira are madly in love. Sebastian knows that his wife loves, respects, and cherishes him in every way. That's why it kills him to see Griff suffer through his marriage to his wife, Ashley. When Sebastian catches Ashley on tape cheating on Griff in the club they own, he tells him hoping that Griff will come to his senses and leave Ashley for good.
Griff decides he wants to leave more than just Ashley behind now that his marriage has fallen apart. He can't bare to be around Sebastian and Moira, because it makes him feel incredibly alone watching them together. Griff has secretly had a thing for Moira for years, but he never acted on it because of his love for Sebastian. It's all becomes too much for him now though, and he makes plans to sell his half of the company and move away as soon as possible.
Sebastian is distraught over the prospect of losing his best friend. Once he realizes Griff wants Moira, Sebastian comes up with a plan to make him stay. If the only thing coming between them is his wife, he's more than willing to share.
Why hasn't Sam written menage romance before? This book is hot as fuck!! I wasn't kidding about needing new underwear. You might as well not wear any at all! In fact, have your man or your B.O.B. on stand by! You're going to need them!
Stitch exceeded my expectations! Aside from the steam factor, I adored the friendship between the guys, their relationship with Moira, and the way we got to see what was going through each of their minds throughout the story. The writing is incredibly addictive, and I promise you that you won't want to put the book down. Something that happens at the end kind of threw me for a loop putting a darker spin on things, but overall, I enjoyed the hell out of this story. I hope the author writes many more MFM menage romances in the future, and if she does, I will be reading each and every one of them! If this sounds like the kind of story you might like, I recommend you go one-click this one right now! I don't think you'll be disappointed.

This ménage story left me with so much uncertainty, I STILL don't know if I'm sold on it
DISCLAIMER: I'm a monogamous girl through and through, so right from the start I knew relating to the story would be a challenge. Did I enjoy reading it? Yes! Am I a MFM convert? Hell, no!
WARNING: SO MANY SPOILERS AHEAD!❌❌❌❌❌❌
The story follows a married couple, Moira and Sebastian, and his "brother from another mother" type best friend and business partner, Griff. Griff is married himself, but unhappy in his marriage, because he has been secretly in love with Moira right from the start. Griff is envious about the perfect marriage of Sebastian and Moira, as they constantly behave like newlyweds. Then he finds out his wife is cheating on him, feels like a failure compared to Sebastian and wants to leave the business and his friendship, because seeing them happy and in love is too painful. Scared to loose his friend he considers family, Sebastian offers to share his wife.
HERE THE PROBLEMS START TO ARISE. Entering into a three-way-relationship is a serious undertaking that should've been discussed with all parties involved extensively BEFORE any actions can take place. What happens here is that Sebastian, due to his abandonment issues from shitty childhood, is so terrified Griff will walk, that he orders his wife to get naked, get in bed and wait for Griff and DO ANYTHING he'll need from her. Moira is understandably confused, but she's more submissive to his dominant, so she will do everything her husband asks, including sleeping with his best friend. The talk between Sebastian and Griff is not shown, so next thing we know, Griff is in the bedroom, flabbergasted why Moira would be naked and surprised she'd offer herself to him. SO TWO OUT OF THREE PEOPLE FROM THIS MENAGE HAD NO CONTROL OVER HOW THIS EVEN STARTED!!! Not cool at all.
Sebastian is the one with control though, that's the lesson we learn from the book. He's more reserved at first, difficult to crack, he likes to have order in life, so he takes action and doesn't spend a lot of time on feelings. He has fewer chapters than other characters, and in those chapters he is often strategizing or taking actions. Meanwhile Moira's and Griff's chapters are filled with FEELINGS, with them getting to know each other romantically and sexually. At first it made me closer to them, it was as if they only met and were starting a relationship without any other parties involved. Griff was so tender to Moira, so respectful and in contrast to Sebastian, who seemed to only give her orders and be so nonchalant about sharing Moira with another man, Griff was my favorite and I was invested in only his relationship with Moira.
With time though, my view on it completely changed. As the chapters went on, we got to see more of Sebastian and Moira together, the way he knew exactly what she needed and when. Moira also was the only one to calm Sebastian and bring him peace of mind. Their dynamic was fire and I wished we could get more of only two of them together. Griff became more and more whiny, never satisfied with their relationship, not understanding the dynamic between Sebastian and Moira, having a bit of a false Madonna-complex in regards to Moira. Sebastian understood the differences between himself and Griff, Moira was bending over backwards to placate Griff and abandon his insecurities, but Griff was demanding in a passive-agressive way, whiney and always sorry for himself. AND IT PISSED ME OFF! 🤬🤬🤬 Good God, at times he came off as their tantrum throwing child and not an equal partner!
You see, before Griff, Sebastian and Moira were perfectly and utterly happy. They were satisfied with one another completely, loved each other, had passion for each other, understanding, trust, sexual hunger etc. You name it, they had it. So I fail to see how they actually needed Griff. They could be happy with or without them, but he only wanted to have Moira, and Sebastian wanted to keep his friend, and Moira wanted to make her husband happy, so they found themselves in THAT situation. And Griff STILL COMPLAINED! 🤬 Sure, he was happy and content after sex, but throughout their interactions, we could see he was ALWAYS insecure in their relationship, always had a problem with how dominant Sebastian could be with Moira, resented Sebastian for always making all the important decisions and Moira for ALWAYS taking Seb's side. Realistically these problems would never go away and become even worse with time. This ménage ruined Sebastian and Griff's friendship and you can't convince me otherwise.
The way the last couple of chapters were written, with the conflict between Sebastian and Griff reaching its peak, with Griff trying to turn Moira against Sebastian, with him being paranoid and scared of his best friend and getting ideas about needing to protect Moira from Sebastian; and with Sebastian understanding, that he probably didn't really need Griff as much as he thought he did, only needing Moira instead, I honest to God thought Griff would try to get Sebastian thrown in jail and then Moira or Sebastian killing him. NOW THIS WOULD BE AN INTERESTING ENDING, SAM MARIANO STYLE!
Instead, we got the resolution of the conflict ON THE LAST PAGE! Literally, one moment they were killing each other and trying to get rid of one another from their relationships with Moira, and the next moment Moira tells them to hug it out and THAT'S IT, EPILOGUE INCOMING! 🤣😅
The story was talentedly written, the smut phenomenal, the premise interesting, but the ending was to me not convincing at all.
Shocked, wowed and bedazzled. Sam Mariano crosses over from intense Mafia romance to this extraordinary menage! Breakout the air conditioners, floor fans and maybe several buckets of ice to cool these jets down. Down girl down! Talking about getting hot under the collar....honey please, Sebastian and Griff are what this chica needs! Thank you Sam for gifting me this five star smokin read! What would you do to save a friendship...better yet how far would you go to protect your family? Griff and I were always a family, and now Moira is my family—he just wants to be included. I think I could do it. For Griff, I think I could do it. I’m no prude, beside the fucking point. Maybe it would be hot to watch Griff with Moira. Two people I love giving one another pleasure. Maybe it won’t be painful.
Sebastian and Griff have been best friends since their foster home days. They've been through so much together, they fought so hard to get where they are now. Which is a very comfortable place in life. And they've both been with the loves of their lives for years now. BUT - only Sebastian is still happy in his home life. Moira is amazing. She enjoys being the housewife.
Griff has always envied their life. He's been in love with Sebastian's wife since he saw her for the first time. That's kinda why he went and married the first girl he could find. But he hasn't been happy with his wife Ashley in forever. And now everybody knows that she repeatedly cheated on him. He needs to change his life. Leave the business and his friendship with Sebastian & Moira. Because he can't stand to see his two friends so effing happy.
But then - afraid of losing him forever - they kinda proposition him. WHAT??? ☺ Can something like that work? Two best friends sharing the woman they're both in love with?
We'll find out by the end of the book!!!☺
I really enjoyed reading it. I'm not a huge fan of the cover. It looks a bit like a mafia/paranormal/futuristic thingy. And the muscles look way to exaggerated for my tastes. But the story is great! I just LOVE ménage romances!
And this was realllly erotic and adorable! And a bit sad and moving and a bit frustrating and exciting too! ☺
You immediately fall in love with Sebastian & Griff & Moira. They're all so completely different and every one brings something exciting and different to this ménage relationship.
But can something like that really work? Won't someone get too jealous one day? And what about Griff's not-yet-ex? She's not going away quietly!
Very sexy and interesting story. It was a tiny bit too long here and there - too many repetitions about the law surrounding Griff's divorce and who is Donovan? Is he from a previous book? A bit weird.
I decided to change the pace a bit and came across this read on amazon. The reviews on amazon raved about this book (that was my first mistake), so I thought what the hell.
But.
Black Sheep strikes again. Everyone seemed to really love this book annnnnnnnnnnd I did not.
I'm usually always pissed off with the heroines given their bimbo behavior and lack of a spine that typically seem to be a repetitive trend in the YA romance genre of 2020. But this read seemed to be a little smut MFM romance book and nothing more so therefore, I dropped expectations for a kickass heroine and I was just genuinely curious to read the story of two men who share a woman.
Surprisingly, the heroine was not the issue. I mean, she wasn't the best but she really didn't bother me that much. Maybe once or twice.
Sum Shell: Two buddies share a wife sexually, ex partners stirs shit up, black mail is involved, feelings grow, anger rises, arguments break out, resolution is created.... Is there an HEA?
Here's the problem.........or problems.
Griff: Clingy, insecure as hell, emotionally weak, actually no, just weak in general... easily controlled and manipulated, low self-esteem and cries like a little bitch every 3 minutes because the world is to blame for his problems and even though he knows his actions have lead him to his own faults, it's still not okay for others to be happy around him.
Moira: Submissive as hell, naive, codependent, can't spell independency if her life depended on it BUT.... I actually liked her. She was a really nice person, sweet, genuine, kind hearted and though sometimes characters like herself annoy me, I didn't find myself annoyed with her. Maybe once, but for the most part, she was just a care giving soul that wants to save the world for all the right reasons.
Sebastian: Ohhhhh, this piece of work. He's a sociopath. I will say no more because... well... google sociopath characteristics, tendencies. Overall life of a sociopath and that will sum up the character that Sebastian here, is. He’s a dominant in bed and a dirty talker. So that’s nice.
What else turned me off about this book? Well, let's read further down.
- Moira is deeply in love with Seb. So in love, she genuinely doesn't want to do this idea with Griff. She's terrified, actually. She's scared this will backfire but more importantly, she's hurt. Why? Well because the man of her dreams, her soul mate, the man who promised to love and cherish her till death is pretty much telling her, 'Look honey, I know this is a lot to ask but you HAVE to understand. We shared everything as kids, teens and adults until you came along. Then I didn't share you and... Gosh darn it, this is clearly my fault Griff wants to leave town now! So, let's all share you so my best friend doesn't leave me and he can finally feel loved. Go upstairs and get naked for him, thanks.' Moira obeys.
- Ashley shows up at Moira's house and verbally slaps this girl silly with a blackmail threat. Moira? The soft little kitten she is; she doesn't fight back at all, just cowers away and says a couple little rude things to Ashley then runs to the guys for help. Meh. If a bitch like Ashley just strolled into my house without an invitation and threatens my family and I, she's losing her hair and her teeth by the time I kick her ass off my lawn. But whatever.
- Griff constantly ignores everyone’s advice and helpful suggestions even though he consistently fucks up his life situations. He takes on certain things that make him seem so tough and strong and thennnn... when it seems like he has something going good, he fucks it up. Repeatedly.
- Seb and Moira go on a date and he tells her, 'Honeykins, you need to open up your heart and give yourself to Griff the way you give yourself to me or else he will never feel secure with us. (NEWS FLASH. It's not someone else’s fucking job to help someone feel secure. Hi emotional abuse, meet Griff.) So, starting now, I want you to treat us equally and we will handle you equally as well.' *Later that night* Seb: She's my wife and I can do what I want to her, remember your place! I’m the king! ...Okay then.
-90% Griff and Seb get into a huge fight. This scene was beyond stupid and completely out of character for Seb as well as the whole fucking story. Since it's a big spoiler, I will be hiding this, but click if you're curious.
- He was always paranoid, insecure, poor self-esteem, ugh. Instead of him thinking at any point, ‘Man, I really need to work on my insecurity and paranoia. I need to learn how to love myself and treat Seb and Moira better when it comes to my doubts, his logic is, ‘Yeah, I think you’re both going to leave me and choose each other because I will never be good enough and one day this will all turn to shit SO. In the meantime, you guys need to reassure me every day that will not happen and make me feel better about myself cause if you don’t, I’m leaving.’
Moira is all too willing to comfort this idiots’ issues. Seb is all too happy to watch Moira do so and make sure he keeps Griff weak enough to always know that Seb controls both him and Moira. Seb even teases Griff several times by doing certain things to Moira just to watch Griff get mad and show Griff hey, get mad all you want but there’s nothing you can do about it. I own her and now I own you. Get over it and do as I say. He gets off on it, too. Like I said, piece of work, this guy.
- Moira was posed as a sweet little angel most of the book but.... when she kinda sorta finds out about what Seb did, she brushes it off and says well I don't care, the blank deserved it.
..ok
- I felt nothing develop between Moira and Griff. Just sex. The entire book she keeps talking about how in love she is with Seb and only Seb. Griff is in love with Moira. Seb is in love with Moira. Well, if you can call it love. But Griff and Moira; they don't connect like lovers. Just like friends and fuck buddies. There is not one scene where anything seems to change or grow between these two. It was just flat the entire story.
- Griff knew Ashley was a bitch so he made her sign a prenup but even then, he still agreed to give her a fair share of assets should they divorce. And he wasn't even in love with her that much. Seb? This guy made Moira sign a prenup, even though she's his soul mate, AND in his prenup, she doesn't get shit whether she cheats or not, if HE cheats, she still doesn't get shit and it's perfectly okay for him to do so without consequence like Griff had in his.
.....What?
- Moira talks about wanting to eventually grow or start a family with Seb. What does Seb think about that? Fuck no, not happening. No kids for dear ol' Seb. Kids are too much trouble. Moira has him and that's enough. Should things change down the line, then they will cross that bridge when they get to it.
Overall, I'm rating this 1.5 stars. Though I can appreciate what the author was trying to do on this story line, it just didn't come together smoothly. The characters were not at all fit for the roles given to them. Moira was Seb's bitch, Seb is a psychotic wolf in sheep’s clothing apparently (Which isn’t an issue for me but the act he committed was just so fucking random, it just didn’t fit in this story), Griff is a doormat and filled with so many issues, he needs to be alone before he considers even dating anyone.
The ending was so rushed it was just sloppy. Shit typically should hit the fan after 65% and be resolved before 90%. Leave the last 10% for storyline closure, HEA or no HEA, a decent epilogue and a vision of content for the readers to swallow once they hit the final last page. This ending was shoved together so badly, nothing felt resolved or truly cleaned up between any of the characters. I had to check twice if this story was going to be a series or a cliffy, but nope, just a standalone.
And lastly, Sam, get a new editor. The amount of errors I came across were excessive. Here and there I don't mind, it happens unfortunately. But if it's continuous and carries over 5... no bueno.
Wouldn't recommend this read. Not completely giving up on this author as of yet but I'm definitely not jumping to another one of her books at this moment.
Sam’s writing and an MFM book? Oh yeah. I’m reading it 😈. And I loooove that we get all three POVs 👏🏻.
Sebastian’s (32 H1) watching his best friend’s wife cheating on his best friend Griff (31 H2) and he’s not gonna let it slide 😬. He and his wife Moira (24) have been together for five years now and occasionally have had double dates with Griff and his wife Ashley (ow). While out on their double date, there’s tension 😬 and it’s because Sebastian knows Ashley’s cheating on Griff 😒.
What else has Sebastian noticed? That Griff has looked at his wife in a not-so-platonic way 😬, but he knows his best friend and his wife, so he’s not worried 🤷🏻♀️. He trusts them both.
Once Griff finds out about Ashley, he feels like his world’s imploding; not necessarily because he loves Ashley so much, but he just feels let down in general. Plus, his best friend’s in such a good, happy marriage, something he’s always wanted, even the woman he kind of wants 😬, and he doesn’t wanna keep having that in his face ☹️.
So he tells Sebastian he wants out of their partnership so he can leave town, start somewhere else new, and just move on 😒. But Sebastian doesn’t want him to leave. Griff has always been a brother to him, ever since they were in foster care.
He knows what Griff needs: his wife 😅. Once he talks to Moira and gets her on board, they can all move on in their lives, together…
Hopefully… 😬
What I liked/loved: possible spoilers —the way the tension between Moira and Griff builds/explodes 😅👀 which leads to…
—the 🔥 jeeeeezus 🫠. There’s a lot 😉. I love how it builds to their DP time too 😮💨. We see Moira and Griff by 20%, then the first MFM by 25% 🥵 and the “mandatory” (🤣) DP scene before 50% 🔥. Moira is one lucky girl 🤣. She gets them by themselves or together 😉
—how commanding the men are 👀. Sebastian’s the mastermind behind it all 😅. He’s the puppeteer who knows how to control Moira and Griff, but Griff can see what he’s doing too 😅. He’s not blind 🤷🏻♀️, but he also knows that Sebastian’s sharing his wife, so… beggars can’t be choosers 😅
—the angst 😅. Ufff. There’s so much angst. A lot of it comes from Griff, which is understandable since he’s the “third wheel” considering Sebastian and Moira have been married for years 😬
—I prefer how giving and take charge Griff is compared to Sebastian 😅 specifically when it comes to 🔥. I love me a giver, and Griff is always willing to give Moira 😉. Luckily for Sebastian, Moira is also a giver
—the MFM scenes 🫠. I was praying for Moira 🤣. She needs to drink water 24/7 to be able to sustain life 🤣
—the JPness, protectiveness, and fighting 😬. Seems weird since they’re sharing her, but it’s also expected 😅. Griff feels like he’s the third wheel, plus he doesn’t like how Sebastian treats Moira sometimes 😬, so they clash 🫣. I was finding myself agreeing with Griff a lot 😅. Poor guy 😅. But Sebastian knows his wife better 🤷🏻♀️, so he knows what she needs 🫠.
—the real conversations they needed to have 😬. Makes sense since Griff is sharing another man’s wife 🫣. I actually applauded the tough conversations they had 🤷🏻♀️. If they wanna survive, they are incredibly important
—the comeuppance 😬. Ummm… while it was extreme, I also understood why it happened 🫣
—Sebastian taking the reigns of the situation 😅🫣
—Moira’s inner strength 🫶. This girl might be a submissive, but she definitely understood the assignment 🤣. She knows how to control her men 💅
—did I mention the 🔥? Yeah. There’s a lot 😮💨. I need to give Moira some pain killers 🤣
What I didn’t like/wanted more of: spoilers —lack of protection 😐. Considering Ashley’s been cheating on Griff, was he clean? I wish we knew. They don’t use anything once their 🔥 begins 😒
—on my reread, I definitely loved/preferred Griff more than Sebastian 🤣. I’ve gotten soft over the years 🤣 but I will say, I still appreciate how alpha and commanding Sebastian is (yet somehow, I still felt a little bad with what happened towards the end😅)
—the ending 😒. It went too fast for me 😭. I wanted mooooore… maybe a few years later? Did they ever have a baby?
Overall, this was a fun, 🔥, angsty read
⚠️safety squad⚠️ -no cheating between MCs/omd* -sharing/its MFM -violence/murder*/suicide* -praise kink/DP -D/s (dom/sub but organically done) -OW- H2’s ex keeps making problems by prolonging the divorce. There’s a scene where she sends H2 a pic of herself but he’s grossed out and deletes it right away -HEA/epilogue
I enjoyed this for the most part, especially the first part of the book. It was incredibly tantalizing. Until it started losing steam. Towards the end, I began skimming a bit, even the sexy times 😱
Likes: ✔️ The taboo/forbidden aspect. The best friend (Griff) coveting after his buddy's (Seb) wife (Moira). Even before she was Seb's wife, Griff was already secretly in love with her, probably from the moment Seb introduced Griff to Moira.
✔️ I loved Griff. More than I did Seb, which is surprising because Seb is an alpha hero; arrogant and controlling. He's the type of hero I prefer. Griff, on the other hand, was more cinnamon-roll than alpha. I'm not a fan of those heroes. Yet, it's Griff that I cared about the most. Whodathunkit? Griff was much more warm, sweet, and touchy-feely 🥰; whereas most times, Seb was...boorish.
✔️ Loads of steamy scenes.
Gripes: ✖️ Seb's decision to share Moira with Griff came way too easy and way too quickly. Let me try to explain: Before Seb decided to share, it had never once occurred to him to do something like that, much less initiate a polyamorous relationship with his wife and best friend. Neither Seb, Moira, or Griff had ever considered it. Yet, on the same exact day Seb realized Griff harbored feelings for Moira, he decided to offer her to him, and convinced Moira to sleep with Griff. They had a ménage à trois that same day. Moira was all nonchalant about it the next morning making breakfast for her two men. I mean, really? It failed to convince me. I struggled to overlook that issue.
✖️ Moira seemed to love Seb more than Griff and that bothered me because I didn't think it was fair to Griff. He deserved the same kind of loyalty Moira had for Seb. Seb called all the shots all the time. But like I said, I have a soft spot for Griff.
✖️ Moira and Seb were too similar to Mia and Mateo from the Morelli Family series. Except the author succeeded in convincing me of Mia and Mateo's relationship. They made sense to me; their dynamic felt organic. I loved them! I hate to say it, but Moira & Seb felt like a poor imitation of Mia & Mateo.
✖️ I'm going to contradict myself here, but maybe this book had too much sex. I can't believe I'm saying that 😱 Who even am I? But in all seriousness, even for a throuple the amount of sex these people had was impressive. Moira must have a super vagina. If you're looking for a smutty read, I guess this works fine.
This is a bit of a lighter read from Sam Mariano. That being sad it’s ménage, and there is a bit of death in this one. Haha. So it’s not a total leap from her other books that are scandalous/taboo/mafia... but it does have more of a relatable romance in my opinion.
All in all a good read. If you like erotic ménage with some emotions and angsty relationships... Stitches hits all the boxes!
Stitches By: Sam Mariano 4.5 Sham-WoW Panty Stars!
When Sam Mariano said she was going to write her first MFM book, I said…Sign Me UP!!! After going on a journey with the Morelli Family, this author has proven her status with me. I knew after the Morelli Family series, she would pull off a Sham-WOW panty worthy MFM book.
Growing up as best friends, Griff and Sebastian have been through it all together. From foster homes to business partners they have stuck with each other. Becoming two very successful business partners.
Sebastian and Moira have the fairytale marriage. Everything is perfect. Everything is great. Everything is just how the two imagined their lives together would be.
Griff has a marriage that is done. After his wife is caught on the security camera cheating on Griff, his world is turned upside down. Greedy, money hungry and not willing to let Griff go with an easy divorce, Sebastian offers to step in and get things taken care of.
Griff has always been in love with Moira. When Sebastian offers his best friend a solution, Griff never imagined Sebastian would be serious. It’s a solution that works for all. Life is Good.
When the friendship between the three takes a beating, it’s Moira who steps up and takes the two bulls by their horns and sets the record straight. But can these three survive now that the truth comes out? Can a friendship seriously survive the test of time?
What a Story!! What a tangled web!! Make sure to have your Sham-WoW panties on while reading this one. The MFM scenes are seriously HOT!!! Congratulations Sam Mariano on your first MFM Book!!!
"I can't make Griff stay if it will make him miserable, but I can't let him go because that will make Sebastian miserable. These two men that I love are breaking apart and maybe I am the only thing that can stitch them back together."
Holy Hotness!! Yes, this one was hot, but it was sooooo much more than that. It really gave detail to all three characters in vivid multiple POV that left me sitting in each of their heads and I loved it!! Regardless of how incredibly hot these three are (did I mention that?), the emotions, the angsty happenings, the little quirks of their personalities really made for an amazing read! It's even got a little Hitchcocky vibe towards the end that made my little dark heart sing and left me grinning like an idiot at my kindle. Fans of menage need it, Fans of a really good story need it, so leave your preconceived notions at the door and get reading to heat things up!!
"I feel treasured. I know how much each of these men cares for me, I know how much they care for each other, and I love being the glue that holds them together."
I forgot how much I love this story. I think part of the reason is that it feels real, I feel their love, I get why 3 of them are together and it makes it relatable (as in, the feelings). They don't get less love cause they share the h, they get more, their lives are fuller due to friendship interwoven with the love. And yeah it's just beautiful.❤
I love all characters individually but together they are perfect, giving each other what they need!
The bit that really makes it though is that it all about the h romantically, and even if it may not seem so at the time, she has all the cards with her quiet strength: )
And yes, still wish Sam would write more menage stories!!
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
5⭐
Wish Sam would write more MFM.... loved this story🥰
The first 100 pages were great but the rest of the book was just torture; mostly because I didn’t like Sebastian at all, but then slowly I started to realize how stupid everyone was :) Also the monologues were quite rambly and the plot is boring and the spice did not make up for it “sex scenes felt so repeated” In conclusion: save your time.
I LOVE a ménage so don’t get me wrong, that has nothing to do with what didn’t work for me in this book. It just felt… very surface level? And maybe like, half finished? IMO.
Firstly, I didn’t love that every single woman in this book felt like they were written by a man. We had Moira who is gods gift to earth - she was exceptionally traditional, always cooking in her heels in the kitchen and doing everything possible to satisfy her husband in all ways (incl blowing him on command). That was absolutely fine, feminism means we accept all women’s choices after all ✌️ but what bothered me is that she was depicted as the pinnacle of being a desirable woman and then EVERY OTHER WOMAN was depicted as being stereotypically heinous. We had the cheating gold digger, then every other woman in town who was awful to Moira because they were so jealous of her (🙄), they were all bored housewives who gossiped and bitched because their husbands hated them. Even her sister, who was normal enough, had an awful husband and life. The men’s LAWYER was even depicted as flirting with them and making sexual comments.
So you’re either Moira or an unhappy, awful hag? Got it ✍️
Aside from all that, I just feel like this lacked depth. Moira just accepts her husband’s best friend into their relationship, because he said so. Moira and Griff never really have a conversation about their relationship together, nor do Griff and Seb, like… at all. Seb takes being the strong silent type a bit too far and actually doesn’t seem to care to communicate with anyone about anything. The guys were constantly trying to assert dominance over each other and that was genuinely never really resolved throughout the book.
Plus Seb was kind of a dick if we’re being honest. He doesn’t seem to give anything at all emotionally to either of his partners.
Was it hot? Sure.
But poly relationships never feel very believable to me unless I can experience a tangible connection between all the characters and I seriously feel this was lacking in that. IMO the smut isn’t anywhere near as hot without it either.
Sam Mariano writes some amazingly simplex characters, and I just don’t think she delivered on that in this book.
I finished this feeling like Griff still would have carried Moira off into the night and left Seb behind tbh 😂
I loved this book! I wish it had been mmf though 👀 it seemed like the author kinda wanted to go there but was afraid. Idk I wish she had though. I still loved it either way!
2.5-3 stars. This was kind of a strange read for me. This is Sebastian (Seb), Griff and Moira's book. Seb and Moira are happily married. Griff is Seb's best friend. He catches his wife cheating on him and gets depressed because he is once again a third wheel in Seb's happy relationship. He realizes he is actually in love with Moira and very jealous of Seb, so he decides he is going to give up the business he owns with Seb and move away. To keep him from doing that, Seb decides to ask Moira to be shared with Griff. Moira is so in love with Seb that she is very unsure, never actually having felt attracted to Griff. But she blindly does whatever Seb wants so she agrees. Griff gets drawn into their relationship and they become a MFM trio. There is a lot of jealousy, drama and angst between them all, too.
This book wasn't at all what I was expecting. I thought this would be a sexy, instalove type, low angst, easy read. But that is pretty much the opposite of what I read. I thought the main idea was interesting and I did like parts of it, but parts were so odd for me, too. I was definitely conflicted. I liked Moira and Griff. I just didn't love Seb. We were supposed to believe that he platonicly loves his best friend, Griff, so much that he doesn't want to lose his friendship so he will share his wife with him. But I never felt the love between him and Griff. Seb was pretty much a jerk to him. This didn't support the whole premise of the book. Seb often said some rude things about Moira too, such as how he is powerful over her and that she is his dutiful wife who does whatever he wants. Of course, she is so loyal and obsessed with Seb that she didn't care. It made me not like her as much because she was such a bad judge of character for loving Seb.
The act that Seb commits was so out of nowhere and cast a weird pall over the rest of the book. It was just such a strange thing that I didn't think fit with the rest of the book and made me question whether I liked any of the characters by the end of the book. Seb came off like a psychopath.
I really thought the book was going to end on a cliffhanger because there was so much drama and emotion happening. It all gets wrapped up on the last two pages. I just didn't believe in a HEA for this threesome. I kind of wanted Seb to be out of the picture. He treated Moira and Griff poorly, while Griff adored Moira. Overall, I don't think I really enjoyed this book, but I'm not sure! This was my first read by this author and I'm not sure I'll try her again either.
MFM Romance by Mariano. The Steam = REAL. *book read on KINDLE UNLIMITED. No arcs involved.*
What’s this book about? (I'm trying to give as little spoilers as possible) Sebastian handles things. Therefore, when Griff, his best friend that he’s known for years, presents him with a problem that will cost Sebastian his and his wife Moira’s happiness, Sebastian is glad to handle it the only way he knows how.
This isn’t my first Sam Mariano read. I’ve read three novels by now. One thing that I know is guaranteed when Sam Mariano is the author is the fact that the chemistry amongst the characters and the steamy tension is always there and IMMENSE. She knows how to write steam and she excels every time. You never get bored with that aspect of Mariano novels. However, this is the first novel that hasn’t captivated me on the plot side. Don’t get me wrong. I loved reading this story, yet I have a couple of issues with it: Griff’s story was serious enough and it worked well. Nevertheless, it wasn’t enough. Moira and Seb’s marriage was great, but it would’ve benefited from some sort of conflict OUTSIDE of Griff. It would’ve added a lot to the story for me. Moira seemed like a shell that was used for two reasons only and it really really REALLY bugged me. I agreed with Griff’s stance on this. I understood that she was nurturing and that she played her role, being happy with it. I just didn’t like it. I enjoyed Sebastian as a character, but him handling things was cheap to me. He was a great POV to read although I hated how he treated his wife. When, later on in the book, they reveal how old Moira was when she first met him and how old Sebastian is, I couldn’t stomach their dynamic even if I shipped their relationship. I didn’t hate on Moira; she was adorable, loving and very cute with the guys. She seemed bored at times even if she never acknowledged it. I needed Moira to have more backbone, have a hobby and do something with her life. I get that this was her character, but I don’t understand it. It felt like an idolization of the goody good shoes cool girl that does everything one asks of her, never complaints and doesn’t have an opinion of her own, opining her mouth for one thing only. Unfortunately, that bugged me a lot. That and Griff’s inferiority complex had me TRULY disappointed throughout the story. How the story ended annoyed me although Moira finally had some sort of occupation outside of being home for her husband. I recommend this to anyone who loves Sam Mariano, MFM steam and an easy and simple read. It was fun and entertaining. The drama was priceless (although not enough LOL).
Stitches is not my first MFM story and I am very picky with this genre, but holy moly if this isn't the best mfm book I have read in a long time.
The book starts off with a bang and as a reader you are immediately drawn into the story of Sebastian, Moira and Griff. The author has beautifully woven a tale of friendship, unconditional love and trust!
Sebastian oh Sebastian!! What do I do about him!! He is the best thing about this book. The man is so dominant and confident in his own skin, nothing rattles him!
Sebastian and Griff are not just best friends but brothers who have always been there for each since they met early on in life. They both end up sharing the same woman and the sex scenes are so explosive that your Kindle might just combust!! However, the book is just not about the 'sets you on fire' sex ,but also takes you on a journey of what you would do for the people you love.
This book will keep you glued to your Kindle, I just could not put it down! I almost chewed off all my nails because the suspense was killing me. Sebastian , Moira and Griff share a very non-traditional relationship, but can such a relationship last? Do they all make it at the end? Does their love for each other withstand the challenges life throws at them?
You will find all that out once you get your hands on this beauty 😂 I loved every second of this book and wonder why do Sebastian and Griff not exist in real life! This author knows how to give you a serious case of book hangover with every release!! Now let me get back to my 'dry spell' with books till her next release!!
I love, love, love Sam Mariano's writing. I signed up voluntarily for this ARC because there is no way I would pass this up. This book is very different from any book she has written before. For one, it is a menage romance!
OMG!!! It's so freaking hot!
I fell in love with Sebastian St. Clair... so hard. I love a capable man who will do anything... ANYTHING... for his love ones. I love his dominant personality. I love his intelligence and I love that he is a man of action. I love Moira. I love how she fits Sebastian perfectly. The two might not be perfect but they balance each other and takes care of each other's needs. Griff... Griff is loyal and a man of integrity. He's a really good man. I think, overall, between Sebastian and Griff, there is something for every reader out there. Whatever your preference, this book will deliver for you.
I love this book so hard. I am such a big Sam Mariano fan. She is always a must read for me. If you love menage romances, pick up this book! If you love hot sexy scenes, pick up this book. If you love romance, pick up this book. It's really, really good.
It's a year of New-to-Me Authors. Sam Mariano isn't a new author, but she is new-to-me. And wow! Why is this the first time I've read a book by this woman? What is wrong with me? She captivated me from the very beginning. Yes, the blurb grabbed my attention. The first chapters had me asking, "but how do we go from this to MFM?"
And then Sam Mariano takes me from this to sexy MFM action. And she does it flawlessly. She weaves trust and love and lust together perfectly. She brings these characters to life. She makes she you love Griff and Seb and Moira. She gives us a villain. She gives us a bigger villain. She has us asking, "what would you do for love? What's too much? Do you have a limit?"
If you love MFM, you'll love this. It's more than just sex, it's love and friendship and sex. And the sex isn't the focus (although, it is really freaking hot when it happens). The relationship between the characters is important, the friendships, the trust they are building. All of it is important and it fuels this story.
I want more. Was this satisfying? Yes! On so many levels, this book satisfied me. But I'm a greedy whore and I WANT MORE!
And if you like epilogues? This is one of the best I've ever read. It made me stupid happy.
Thank you, Sam Mariano, for some amazing characters. I look forward to reading your previous material and whatever you write in the future.
Plot Summary : Sebastian and Griff have always been brothers. They have shared things and no one ever came between them until Sebastian found his life partner. There was no way Griff felt bad, it was the pain of being alone that made him scared. The pain that his brother might have a family and live long while he will be the one left lonely and scared. His own wife cheating on him was the last straw and he was done. He did not need Sebastian or his friendship. All he needed was to be away and make a life of his own.
Sebastian had no idea that his brother was suffering this much. He hated that things took a turn like this. He hates that they are separating. The one thing he doesn't know is how to stop him. Because he can't lose the one person who has always been there for him. And from that moment, their lives take turn that will change everything.
Overall Opinion : I swear I had a hard time continuing reading this one after Sebastian gave away his wife to share with his best friend like a freaking sofa 😆. I mean it would have been okay if she chose on her own because she had feelings for both men, but the way he sort of ordered her to do it just left a bad taste in my mouth!
However Sam turned this book in a good way. There was angst and so much steam. The angst came later. All three, Moira, Sebastian and Griff have now been entwined in a tale that is much more complicated than they expected. Nothing will ever be the same. Sebastian won't let go of his wife and Griff wants her too.
This one is a MFM standalone with steam and angst. It was not dark but more on the contemporary side. It was a one time read for me, and I like it!
I'm no menage erotica newbie, and it's certainly a type of read I enjoy, but I can totally admit that many of the menage stories I've read contain a lot of... well... cheese. Also, please note that I'm not against some level of cheese in my books. Sometimes it's a cheese-factory and I still really have fun reading. But, sometimes, a gal needs a little more realism in her fiction. While menage may just be a fantasy for some, for many it's a reality. To each their own, and all that. So, I'm happy to say this had minimal cheese factor. It was very well written, all three pov's done quite well and with no unnecessary overlap in detail. It was super sexy and sweet, which is a favorite combo of mine. Kind of like eating some potato chips and then having a cupcake right after. I loved the characters and their dynamic. Though, admittedly, I liked Sebastian more than I did Griff. Sebastian is more my type, Griff came across a little whiney and needy to me. I like my alphas. Moira, however, was the bomb. I adored her. This was my first time reading a book by Sam Mariano, and I can safely say that it won't be the last.
So no, I did not finish this book. I had to chuck it in the fuck it bucket after that chapter because there were so many things wrong with what Sebastian did which makes him completely unforgivable and irredeemable in my eyes.
Just NOPE. No fucking way. I can't read shit like this without blowing a major gasket.
I am so sorry to the author and this will in absolutely no way prevent me from reading her other books, but..
Sebastian and Griffin met in a foster home when they were young and have been firm friends since then. They have always had each others backs and this has carried through into adulthood with the establishment of a business together.
Sebastian was the first of the two to meet someone special when he fell in love with Moira, marrying her soon after. Griffin was initially a bit jealous of their relationship until he found his own special lady, Ashley.
Unfortunately for Griffin, he did not choose wisely and he has never felt more lonely. His old jealousy for what Sebastian and Moira have comes creeping back and just being around them is too much. He really needs to stand on his own two feet and make some decisions that could hurt them all.
When Sebastian figures out what Griffin is planning, he comes up with his own solution. One that would benefit all three of them. Something that Griffin never saw coming.
I’ll leave you to make your minds up about what that solution is but let’s just say that is very sexy and involves plenty of MFM ☺
This was totally messed up didn't care for it at all...I really don't understand the whole reasons behind the extreme measures Seb went through to get rid of Ashley Griff's wife. She was so sure that Griff was cheating on her by sleeping with his best friends wife which he was it was a mutual thing. They had a clause in the prenup that if she cheated(which she did 3 times that he knew of) she got nothing but if they both cheated she walked away with half. So when she showed up on their door step talking about him cheating with his best friends wife, she neither denied or acknowledged so how the heck could they possibly think she would get anything by speculation alone. Sure she said that she had a waiter that was willing to testify he saw them on a date, but that's nothing more then good friends going out for a bite to eat. She would've needed hard proof like video, image proof! Anyways the story just wasn't that good I wouldn't recommend it.
I have to say I'm not one for MFM reads. Just not my thing , I'm to traditional. However Sam is such an amazing writer, I figured I would give it chance. I am so glad I did, this is different then any MFM I've read. It was loving, hot, but classy. It was so real. Unlike most MFM books, I could actually see this happening. A real love , it was great, and touched on subjects that would be of concern, such as jealousy etc. if you love MFM , or don't ...this is still a good read !
I received an Advance Reader Copy for Stitches: A Ménage Romance (MFM) written by Sam Mariano and voluntarily reviewed this book. The depth of emotion expressed and shared by Sebastian, Moira, and Griff, and their character development was successfully conveyed, and this story showed exactly just how far one of the trio was willing to go to protect their loved ones and keep them in their lives.
Seb and Griff’s special relationship, formed after meeting and bonding many years ago, forged a successful life for themselves together as best friends and business partners, sweetened over the last several years by Seb’s marriage to Moira. Griff desperately tried to replicate that fulfilling happiness by marrying Ashley, but that union turns out to be one of his biggest mistakes, with more than just financial repercussions. Seb then does the only thing he knows how to do - he steps up to gain control of Griff’s situation by taking a wholly unconventional route to prevent further fallout for Griff…and ultimately himself, because he was not willing to lose everything when he finally had it all. Their chemistry together was sizzling hot and very real as they worked out their new boundaries with one another. Moira's character showed a delightfully observant and sage aspect when she was giving them a piece of her mind (situational reality check) at one crucial point, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I have to comment that there was one detail which was left hanging for me, but perhaps it was purposefully done so, though it did not in any way detract from their story. It just signifies further storyline possibilities to me ;-D (hopefully)! I can’t wait to read more of this author’s stories! 💜
I love ALL of Sam Mariano's books but this one is in my top 3 favorites (Untouchable and Descent were ASTONISHING too). I was sucked in immediately and am still stuck with an awful hangover. I just LOVED LOVED LOVED the dynamic between Sebastian, Griff and Moria. I thought that for sure Sebastian would regret his decision, if even for a second. But he never did! He was all in the most and I am just in LOVEEEE with his character. His ruthlessness and the lengths he would go to protect his family. He was undeniably attractive in every way and his dominance DOMINATED me! Moria was absolutely breathtaking. The way she handled the men, took care of them, made sure to please both of them in every way possible in and out of the bedroom...GAHH I just loved her so much! People always talk about heroines that are feisty and more or less a badass but what I loved the most about Moria was that she was so demure and sweet. It made her so much sexier to me. And Griff? Wow. He was a stunning character. I LOVED HIM SO MUCH! I felt so bad for him in the beginning, even though I KNEW he would get to share Moria. I loved the passion he had for Moria and how he was the soft part of the love making compared to Sebastian's roughness. He was the yin to Sebastian's yang. His devotion to his woman made my spine tingle! Sam Mariano has a way of making all of us connect to her characters on such a deep level to where this book will never be forgotten. These three characters are always going to be in my heart and I cannot even begin to explain how incredible this story was. This was my most favorite MFM I have read to date.
