That’s exactly what the night Alana spends with Ethan is. When she walks into the bar, all she wants is to drink away the horrible weekend she’s just had. Instead, she ends up leaving with a stranger, giving in to a passion she’s never felt before. Only, she ends up wanting him much more than she can afford to.
Ethan didn’t plan on bringing Alana back to his hotel room, or the way each kiss and touch would make him crave her more. But their time is cut short when he comes out of the bathroom and finds her gone. When he next sees her, five months later, he’s in for a surprise.
She’s pregnant, and now two strangers need to figure out how to be parents together, all while deciding whether to embrace or deny all the feelings they left behind in that room months ago.
This is a standalone erotic romance. No cheating, no cliffhanger, and HEA guaranteed!

Don't you just love it when a one-night stand turns into happily ever after?
Alana came from a family who lived to put her down, to diminish her. They called it religion and she called it oppression. She got free, but they're her parents so she still allows him into her life, demeaning every action she makes. One night she wants to escape it all and finds a connection with Ethan. However, after a hot night of passion, she runs away. She knows that she could have so much more with him, but old habits die hard. But doesn't she deserve to be happy?
That one night of passion leads to a whole new life and Ethan wants to be there, every step of the way. These characters were so sweet and I loved how the chemistry between them only grew as they got to know each other better. Ethan's family, his best friend Bryce, and her best friend Livia added the love and support Alana desperately needed. There was even a suspenseful and heartbreaking twist that caught me by surprise.
I love the warmth and sensuality this author infuses her characters and stories with. I'm so glad there are more stories to come!
It took a while to get into this. In fact, the romance and drama didn’t start until the last few chapters. It’s a safe & slightly boring story of the MCs meeting in a bar, having a ONS, becoming pregnant and unable to forget one another. Five months later, they run into each other and they spend all the rest of the story getting to know one another & dealing with an upcoming baby to raise.
Then in the last few chapters, the “villains” kidnap their baby, the MCs find him, get married & HEA. There’s also some mentions of their 2 BFFs finding their own HEA which was confusing as heck.
So, it was an okay read with likable characters, but nothing special & slightly boring. IOW -not anything that I haven’t read a gazillion times before.
If you like instant attraction low angst with little drama this book is for you. Alana and Ethan have a one night stand and the unexpected happens. This is a very low angst book. The attraction with Alana and Ethan was there from the beginning they just have to learn how to become parents together. I loved seeing Alana work thru the issues she has because of how she was raised. Ethan was very patient with her. I loved him from the beginning.
Alana expected her one-night fling with Ethan to leave her with nothing but memories of that hot and heavy night....she never expected to leave with more than a memory of Ethan... 5 months later when Ethan sees her again, he never thought he would be seeing his baby's momma. But can these two make it work...will there just be some drama that even their feelings for each other be too much?!?!
Jade Dare did an amazing job with this book and can not wait for the rest of the series. This was a story I didn't want to end. It was amazing from cover to cover.
If you love instalove/secret baby this book is for you. This was my first book by this author and it was amazing. She kept me on the edger of my seat. The suspense was killer when they went through their toughest obstacle as parents. But I kinda figured out who it was before hand. I really hope there's more books in this series because I need three best friends stories. Love finds you when your least expecting it.
“I couldn’t get you out of my mind. Out of my blood.”
Jade Dare is a newer author and I’ve had the privilege of being with her almost from the beginning. Her Meet Me in the Dark series was incredible and if this first book is anything to go by, her More Than One Night series will be just as wonderful.
I’m not a huge fan of surprise pregnancy books. I think they are over-used and often too contrived. But Unexpected is an exception and I’m not surprised as I think Jade is incapable of writing a bad book. She pulled me in with the first scene and never let me go. I loved Ethan and Alana so much! Their love story was so beautiful and so real. They knew from the first they belonged together.
I can’t say more about the story as it would spoil the twists and believe me, you don’t want that. I recommend you avoid the reviews that have spoilers that they don’t have the manners to hide. Just trust this is a beautiful love story that will leave you smiling at the end.

3.5 stars. Alana and Ethan, the lead characters, had a one night stand where the condom broke and then plan b didn’t take. When Ethan stumbles upon Alana 5 months later, he is grateful (having searched for her since she left) and surprised. A relationship quickly forms but Alana’s judgmental parents are determined to disrupt the relationship and their life…
This story is dual POV, well written, and I really enjoyed that so much of this story was about AFTER the lead characters formed a relationship. I appreciated seeing them work through how a relationship would work for them as well as how they dealt with the challenges that came their way - and there were some serious challenges. This story was highly emotional for me, very intense, and the intimate scenes were erotic.

In Jade Dare’s book Unexpected Alana and Ethan meet at a bar and have a one night stand. Unfortunately for them the condom breaks and although Alana felt the beginning of strong feelings for Ethan she decided to leave him and take the morning after pill. Five months later these characters meet up again and now Alana is very pregnant. Ethan is a great guy who wants to be all in and help and assist Alana in any way possible. Alana has a very strained relationship with her parents a very unhealthy relationship. I love a book where the guy is willing to step up and be a responsible adult. Ethan was supportive and involved. I loved the heat and the interactions between the two characters. Great story.
Alana & Ethan meet in a bar & have a passionate one night stand. Neither of them can get the other out of their minds. They both try to find each other to no avail. Five months later Ethan runs into Alana & sees she’s pregnant. Ethan wants to be there for her & the baby. Alana accepts Ethan’s help & they fall in love. Alana gets a gift from her estranged parents. Her parents are religious extremists who believe she’s a sinner & her baby is an abomination. She cuts her parents out of her life. Alana & Ethan have a beautiful baby boy, Solomon. As Alana packs to move in with Ethan, the baby is kidnapped by masked men. They are shocked to find out who took the baby but get him back safely. They have a happy ending with Ethan & Alana getting engaged.

Alana and Ethan share a steamy one-night stand and when Ethan sees her again five months later, he is in for a shock. He is glad he never stopped looking for her after that night but can their relationship last with a baby and her troublesome parents? A little slow but an entertaining read. I liked it.
After a one night stand together she gets scared and runs but didn't expect to get pregos. They met one night at a club and he tries to find her because he cant get her out of his head. She goes to find him to let him know what happened and is open to slowly starting to build there relationship as co-parents until its more
Beautiful story. I especially love how they communicated with each other. My only complaint is the switch from characters. Sometimes it was confusing who was thinking or speaking. I will read more from this author.
I loved this book!! It surprised me in the best way. My attention was grabbed from the very first page. Romance with a unexpected surprise and a little twist. Yes please!!
Unexpected by Ari Reavis is a fab short story of a one night stand happily delivering nine months later. Part of the More Than One Night Series — Book 1.
