Trish Garret is a good girl who may or may not be wanted by the law.

A poor decision in her past has her on the run, keeping a low profile while working waitress jobs at local watering holes. But during her latest stop in Houston, she’s managed to make herself a great group of friends she’s always wanted and never had.

When a private detective shows up at her Airstream trailer asking questions, Trish takes it as a sure sign it’s time to pick up stakes and skedaddle. But with her new best friend getting married, Trish is reluctant to leave before the wedding. Biting the bullet, she asks the one man she’s had a hard time hiding her heart from for help.

NASA flight controller Ian Kincaid has spent his life second-guessing the motives of people close to him thanks to the political maneuverings of his father, a Texas state senator. But when he hears a petite brunette in a bar holler “Yoo hoo” in a southern accent thicker than honey and just as sweet, Ian starts making maneuvers of his own.

But after months of false starts, Ian thinks he and his dream girl might never be—until the day she comes calling for help.

Ian agrees to let Trish hide out, trailer and all, on his property where she’ll be free from both prying and private eyes. But only if she’ll pretend to be his girlfriend when his father shows up, intending to push his son into a politically-motivated marriage.

Between warrants, political fundraisers, nosey housewives, and drunken bridesmaids, can Trish and Ian rendezvous to love?

Or will their pasts throw them out of orbit?

I just didn't like this story line as much as others. They fell into each other's arms way too fast and the big reveal happened way too late. I'm also like lol at our hero who is an esteemed astronaut who is controlled by her father.

A STEM romance that I vibe with!

After reading the 2 previous books in the series, I was looking forward to Trish and Ian’s story as they intrigued me. Especially Trish. She always seemed so confident but seemed to be very secretive and holding back a lot. And this book did not disappoint.

Trish Garret is a good girl who is on the run as she is wanted by the law. NASA flight controller Ian Kincaid has spent his life second-guessing the motives of people close to him due to his dad’s political life. When he sees Trish at a bar, he is immediately attracted to her. However, things are not off to a good start when they try to spend a night together. But, when Trish needs help and a place to hide out due to an outstanding arrest warrant, Ian agrees to let Trish hideout at his house, in exchange for fake dating him in front of his dad. Between warrants, political fundraisers, nosey housewives, and drunken bridesmaids, can Trish and Ian rendezvous to love?

I could see the chemistry between these two characters in the past couple books. It was nice to finally see them come together. I especially liked Ian. He was so sweet. It was also great to be back in this Space, NASA world and to see some of the other characters from the previous books. Overall, this book was an enjoyable read. It was sexy, it was funny, and I always enjoy the science, intelligent talk that Sara L. Hudson gives us.

Sara L. Hudson writes fantastic, laugh out loud, intelligent and sexy, romance books. I am a huge fan of her Nasa inspired series and the latest, Space Oddities: Ground Control to Major Cutie is romcom gold! There is absolutely nothing better than picking up and reading an incredible opposites attract/friends to lovers, story that gives you everything!

👔 Ian (aka Captain America), is the proverbial good guy. Wealthy, smart, athletic, he’s the whole, trust fund, designer clothes, Audi driving, gated, community, boathouse garage owning, could have been an Olympic swimmer, Nasa engineer, package.
👠 Trish (aka Patty, aka Shortstack), is a pint sized firecracker. Abandoned by her mother, raised by her grandparents, lives in an Airstream, stripped her way through school, bartends, writes lady porn (aka romance books), death defying high heel wearing, southern woman.

Seriously with these two main characters the book writes its own Five Star review because, hello, can you even begin to imagine, how hot, each and every verbal exchange and sexy glance is? Add on some fantastic exhibitionist nookie and a cast of BFF’s who will crack you up and warm your heart. All of this and so much more can be found in this fantastic book. Space Oddities (and all the other books in this series) gets the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval, TBR and enjoy watching Ian and Trish get their sexy happily ever after!

(audiobook+ebook) This book may have been a bit less original than the previous in the series, but damn! I fell in love with Trish and Ian!

If you’re looking for the perfect book boyfriend, Ian should interest you. He has flaws, he’s clumsy, but he also tries really hard and is ready to do anything for the girl he loves. The way he changes his life for Trish is the focus of the story, and I loved it.

Trish was a fascinating character too. She’s a fierce little something, and though she sometimes drowns in her fears and doubts, she’s a woman of action. I really enjoyed her. Especially the dynamics of her relationship with the various other women of the series.

The story itself wasn’t very original–fake relationship, controlling family, miscommunication… Though there were some surprising elements–wait for Trish’s hidden identity–that made it definitely part of the series.

The narrators come back for this one, and this time, the female narrator delivers with an amazing southern accent that gives life to Trish. A great addition to the series!

Quickie

- Series: Space #4 (but can be read as a standalone)
- Hashtags: #romcom #space romance #opposites attract #anxiety
- Triggers: N/A
- Main couple: Trish Garret & Ian Kincaid
- Hotness: 4/5
- Romance: 5/5
- + Ian’s very real anxiety and the way he deals with it
- – the desperate housewives were too much

Space Oddities is the long awaited story of Trish and Ian! This book is packed and has everything but the kitchen sink! You have heat, laughs and a dash of unexpected suspense!

Not only do we get to fall in love with Trish and Ian, we get to revisit NASA and all the wonderful characters that Sara Hudson has created. Keeping my review spoiler free, you'll need this book in your life if you've been following the Space Series.

Trish and Ian have an undeniable chemistry that has been teased in the past books and Space Oddities is the cherry on top! Trish's past and present are colliding and Ian is along for the ride. With that I leave you with one of my favorite lines....

“I saw you.” His lips touch my ear. “I see nothing but you.”

Sara freaking does it again. I laugh, I tear up, I gasp, and I learn things about NASA and math. We've been teased with the mystery of Trish for a few books now, and we know from the moment Ian set eyes on her he wanted her. This is their story, and oh boy is it FANTASTIC.

Trish knows that her time is running out here, and that she'll be forced to leave behind the best friends she's made in a long time. Ian is desperate to make up for an unintentional offense and get Trish to look his way again. They are so obviously and stupidly attracted to each other it's almost funny. Every time the others call them out on their lack of subtlety and their responding shock is hilarious. It ends up that her running schemes get a little out of her control and Trish needs a place to park her trailer; that means Trish moves in with Ian for a few weeks until she can run away again. A few weeks is all it will take for these two to light on fire.

Ian has a much more complicated history than I expected, and there are a couple questions about his past that I don't think were fully explained, but also don't take away from the plot resolution. The Ian we've seen before is a smooth, controlled, rich man. The Ian we get to see in this book has humor, insecurity, weakness, and a well of emotion that he wants to release. I wanted to take a bite out of him.

I loved seeing his friendship with Jules. In the previous books, the friendships haven't crossed the gender lines much, and the way the two of them get along when they are so different was really fun.

Ian and Trish are both so lonely, the things they give to each other run so deep so fast. Trish's backstory and what she's running from were unexpected. I often felt what Ian did, which was the need to shake her and have her give in. The reason she doesn't want to leave is because she's finally got people to lean on, yet refuses to lean! There is a lot to overcome, and a lot of really crappy people interfering with their happiness both together and individually, and you hurt for them. However, Trish is so sweet, and secretly VERY spicy which made it a very fun book to read.

This book cracked me up. The humor is similar to the previous books with banter all over the place, math jokes, short jokes, and basically Rose running wild and Jules being surprising. Jackie has perhaps one of the best and funniest doses of truth to Trish. I mean, there's also saving by pole tricks, an unexpected emotional support animal, great descriptions of fake boobs on a bitchy woman, and a very angry rant about store bought cookies. I was laughing every few pages.

Space Oddities is also quite meta. Talking about romance tropes, expectations shaped around those tropes, and assumptions being made about the genders based on stereotypes. It was just an extra layer that made me smile. Once again, I learned things while reading this.

I wish I could remember how I ran into this series because they are so much fun, and I rec them to all my fellow nerds. It's got NASA and math and really hot guys who worship their women. While Space Oddities can be read as a standalone, I really really beg you to read them all.

You know that feeling you get in your gut after you finish a really good book. That warm, cozy, buttery feeling. I felt all that when I was done with this book.
I have adored every single book in this series, but truly this one might be my favorite.
Trish was so much cooler than I expected her to be. The depth to her as a character was much bigger. The way she talks about romance writing, the feminism of a romance book the type of heroines. Those moments gave me all the feels. Because it is all 100% true. Life gave her a bad hand, but she still somehow keeps a smile on her face. So many things about her are such a true southern girl. Those habits that are just bred into you from birth.
Ian was unexpected too. I didn’t even think I would get swoony with him. But he masters the dirty talk in the bedroom and is an Adonis at those tiny subtle touches that just give you the shivers. He’s also a truly good guy. They call him captain America in this and this is exactly what I imagine he would be like. I love that they make him a little vulnerable too. Dealing with his anxiety.
At the heart of these books is this true blue group of girlfriends, that shouldn’t go together but they do. They are the oddest mix, but somehow work. They are also true ride or die friends. I adore all of these girls. I can’t wait for Rose’s story.
I laughed out loud at so many parts. I love this series and I love this author. I will read anything she gives me.

OH MY GOD! This book is amazing! It was definitely one of those “just one more chapter” books for me! But I just couldn’t stop until I finished it! And I just couldn’t wait to write this review either, so here I am at 3AM totally energized about this book and wishing I didn’t have to wait for the next one!! It is an amazing rom-com that goes above and beyond any expectations you might have for it. It is not just your typically girl meets boy story! Which is what I loved so much! I get tired of the typically romance books, because there are all different versions of the same story, but this was so different. And I mean that in the best way possible. I loved getting to hear about the past characters, but even more I loved finally getting Trish’s story. I have loved this character from the beginning (mainly because I’m a short midget with the same name! HAHA) and I knew her story was going to be one of the best I have ever read (which has been A LOT during this pandemic!), and the author certainly did not disappoint. Watching Ian and Trish get past their difficult pasts and learn to open up to one another has been amazing. They started off so far apart from one another and managed to overcome so much that it really made me happy to see where they end up!!

Now I get to try to go to sleep even though I am still giddy and excited over this book, characters, and the ending!!

Listen, ladies. Find yourself a man who will drive to a different state to get your arrest warrant revoked.

God, I love Ian so much. The man was absolute perfection. Even when he was screwing up, he was doing so because he was just too nice and wonderful.

And Trish was so fun and interesting and, ok yes, has major trust issues when it comes to telling people who are supposed to be her friends things, but I love watching her just cause chaos.

I didn’t think I’d love anyone’s story as much as Flynn and Jackie’s but this one was just as good.

Also? I LOVE that the author hasn’t forgotten about her other characters in this series. Even in books that aren’t focused on them, the other girls (and partially guys) still appear frequently, just like friends do in real life. This book was perfection. 💖

This is my unicorn coupling.

I never knew I needed Trish and Ian. The “shortstack” of the girl friends and the uptight Captain America of the guys. Yet, here we are.

Trish had such a big impact with the women of the Space series that her story was begging to be told. I got so much more out of her life. What a multifaceted person, but I hated that she put the people she cared for at arm’s length to protect her heart.

Then we have Ian. Claustrophobic in more than one aspect, but he manages things as best as he could. It works for him. He gets it done. He also knows how to get his way when it comes to Trish.

The best part of this story was knowing Ian was willing to figure himself out and that Trish had to come to terms with the her own life that was rapidly changing because of her friends and ultimately Ian.

For me, this couple’s HEA just made me soft. Made my heart soar. Made me believe in unicorns.

This is the third book in the amazing Space Series, a Romantic Comedy. Trish and Ian's story is fun, sweet, and engaging. They are both wonderful character. I loved Ian. He is handsome, caring, and supportive. Trish is beautiful, and kind. They are perfect together. The storyline is interesting, and entertaining. The supporting character are great. Love, love, love Trish the Dish and Ian! They have been dancing around each other and they are definitely worth the wait! Not only are they 🔥 but they both have so much depth! I laughed out loud but also felt so much for them both. A lot of laughs and a few tears when Trish’s past and Ian’s present clash. Ian really steps up when he needs to-stands up for Trish but also himself. Nothing sexier than a man who stands up to the bullies in his life.

I didn’t think i could love this series anymore but Trish and Ian are AMAZING together!! I loved how we learned more and more about Trish as the story went on. Her story wasn’t just dropped on us in a chapter but spread out. I also loved seeing Ians growth, not just with his own fears but also standing up to his father.

They did an amazing job balancing each other and i am looking forward to the next book

I just absolutely adore this series by Sara L. Hudson, so when she contacted me to see if I'd like to receive an advanced copy to review, I jumped at the chance! I had been highly anticipating Trish and Ian's story and it absolutely did not disappoint!

The chemistry between these two characters in the past couple books was undeniable and to finally see that come together was truly magnificent! This was by far my favorite book of the series thus far!

It was also great to be able to go back to NASA and revisit with some of our favorite characters from the past books. I will now (im)patiently wait for the next book from Ms. Hudson. ;) I know it will be worth it!

Straight off the bat the cover photo reminds me of Lee Ryan from Blue (anyone outside the UK and under 35 this probably won't mean much to you)

So immediately not the best start, not the authors fault though, im sure she didn't mean to conjure images of a jumped up arse wipe of a 90s singer so hey no harm no foul.

These series of books have always been a delight, I'm like Simon Cowell when presented with a new pair of high waisted jeans "it's a yes from me", im always up for reading this author.

This one, this one didn't pump my gnads like the others, I just couldn't warm to Trish and I don't like myself for that.

I just didn't get the whole wanting to run away thing and then what she did to Ian, well she wasn't nice. I think he deserved someone who was more thoughtful of his feelings.

Thats not to say I didn't enjoy the book, always easy to read and it was nice to catch up with previous characters. Although for me some of the previous characters didn't ring as true. 🤷‍♀️

The nicknames did start to grate, I have a good friend who is 4ft something who i know would tell me to button it of I kept referring to her as shortstack; Maybe I need to lighten up maybe I don't who the fuck knows.

Overall not my favourite but I will continue on with the series for sure, you can't keep this wanna be stripper back.

4 ⭐️s for Captain America and the Romance Novelist…

Only slightly less funny than its predecessors, the third book in Hudson’s Space series is still charming and well worth a listen. Despite some more serious tones in arcs for the mains, there is still hilarity and hijinks whenever the girls get together, so there are still enough laughs to be had.

It’s been hinted from book one that Trish has a secret and though we finally learn what that is, her trying to keep it under wraps from her friends and Ian is at the center of her arc. This to tell or not to tell went on a little too long IMHO. However, there are a lot of meta moments regarding heroine behavior here because of Trish’s career as a romance novelist. So behaviors on her part that frustrated me, somewhat less annoying because she was somewhat self-aware of her ridiculousness at certain times. It was a unique twist on Hudson’s part. Plus, experimentation in the name of research made these two are another Hudson fire combo!

Ian journey is one of the most well-crafted aspects of the story. The positive representation of seeking professional help when dealing with anxiety was so heartening to read. The fact that it is the hero’s experience that showcases this is another plus; stigmas towards being open about one’s mental health have historically manifested in particularly harsh ways for men. There’s also the danger for the love of the heroine to be treated as the “cure” for the hero, but Hudson never falls into that trap. Ian clearly embraces healing from outside his romantic relationship with Trish. It’s just a really heartening portrayal of someone prioritizing their mental well-being.

The only element that was a bit of let down for me was Trish being cast as a bit of damsel in the final conflict and Ian as the white knight. While the end reaffirmed his character growth, it slightly undermined hers. It would have been more interesting if they could have worked together in a way that affirmed both their agency. But again, as will this previous books, this complaint is small and no reason to skip out on the story as a whole.

Samantha Brentmoor and Lee Samuels are back and spectacular once again. Brentmoor has been consistent in her performance of Trish in the previous books; so, to see her fully flesh out the character throughout her own story was great. As Ian, Samuels also differentiated his performance from the previous heroes. And while Ian has been less present in previous books (especially book 2), Samuels is able to to take the small seeds planted in those previous scenes and make them grow into a compelling character.

Overall, definitely worth a listen!

Awesome Story & Narration🎧 This Series is Amazing!!

Space Oddities: Ground Control to Major Cutie
Space Series, Book 3
By: Sara L. Hudson
Narrated by: Samantha Brentmoor, Lee Samuels

Sara L. Hudson continues to wow me with another awesome novel in her “Space Series”. I am loving this series, the characters are absolutely amazing and their stories are enjoyable and entertaining. Romantic comedy at it’s best with the perfect balance of romance, drama and humor. This book is Ian Kincaid and Trish Garrett’s story, Trish became one of my favorite characters and I was happy to see she was getting her own book. Ian works for NASA and is friends with Jackie and Jules, he has been attracted to Trish and finally gets to make his move. But when he freaks out he sends her the wrong message, but manages to get another chance to make things right. Each one is holding back secrets, Trish’s cause her to run and live the life she wants and Ian’s holds him back in his job and personal life. We also get to meet his arrogant and controlling father. I loved how everything plays out in this book, the story is cleverly plotted with laugh out loud moments and witty dialogue that will have you smiling ear to ear. There are some nice twists when it comes to Trish and what she was hiding. I liked how the girls were on to her surprising Trish that she was not as smart at hiding things as she thought. It was great to see how much Ian grew as a person by the end. I was so happy to see these two get their HEA, also happy to see Jackie Darling Lee and Flynn West tie the knot. Who is next? Sara L. Hudson, thank you for another awesome story, I am looking forward to Rose’s story and what comes next in this amazing series.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Samantha Brentmoor & Lee Samuels are awesome portraying the characters, giving each their own voice and personality. Lee Samuels played Ian’s role perfectly, sounding just as I pictured him to sound, Samantha Brentmoor did the same for Trish. They were awesome playing the secondary characters, taking each role and making it their own. They set the perfect tone for the story, handled the dialogue with ease and landed the humor flawlessly. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they captured all of the characters emotions and projected them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧

Space Oddities is book three in the Space series by Sara L. Hudson.

For me, this book had a little bit more of an emotional component to it compared to the first two books in this series. Ian is such an interesting character. He’s emotionally damaged and trying to keep from under the thumb of his controlling father who sees his NASA pursuits as nothing more than a distraction from the plans he has for his son.

Trish is another story entirely. She has a lot going on. She’s been on the run and she’s finally found a place where she feels like she could belong. The question here is whether the trouble she has been running from will catch up to her.

To an outsider, it looks like he’s had a charmed life, but behind the facade, Ian has experienced a lot of pain. One thing that I thought was particularly interesting here is the way the story examines Ian’s anxiety. It comes into play both in his relationship, especially in the initial failed attempt at intimacy with Trish, and of course in his astronaut aspirations. I personally love when real concerns that everyone faces, in this case an at times crippling case of claustrophobia, are explored in such an honest way. It makes you really feel for Ian.

I really enjoyed watching them drop their walls and learn to trust each other with their secrets. On the surface they couldn’t seem more different, but they both have wounds they have carried with them. Once again, part of the joy of reading this series is the friendships and relationships between the side characters.

And finally, as I listened to the audio book, I once again have to give kudos to the wonderful narration. Samathan Brentmoor does a fabulous job with Trish’s southern accent. It’s just so fun to listen to her take on such an over the top role, because that is exactly how I would describe Trish! And Lee Samuels is excellent here as expected. I thought he really did a terrific job voicing Ian’s vulnerabilities. These two are among the best in the romance genre and delivered another stellar performance. I highly recommend this book.

Trish and Ian were doing the almost high-school thing of denying their attraction to each other. When Trish decided to let her guard down and finally admit to wanting to take things a bit further with Ian things didn’t go as planned. As they are both having a meltdown from a missed opportunity we get insight into what baggage they each have.

Trish from the start has always seemed like she had one foot ready to head out of town. Ian came across as a man who has it together at work but his personal life seemed a bit of a mystery.

Things got a little repetitive for me with these two almost getting their sexy time when something would happen to derail it. Some parts of the story became a bit predictable and some parts the reason behind one of the secrets was a bit shaky and could have been challenged.

I am never really a fan of when either character takes off running without explaining themselves to the other, for me it’s a bit immature. That said once when these two finally pull themselves together they made a good team.

Trish may be pint sized but she comes across like a lion. She may seem sweet but she can fight dirty with the best of them. Ian may look all prim and proper and pinned down but underneath that suit is a sexy speedo that’s not afraid to jump in the deep end.

Love the ladies and their crazy antics and quirks. Sisters before Misters.
I love when strong women form a tribe and elevate each other.

There are some laugh out loud moments, times when you just want to throat punch a dad or two, some wow that cuts deep moments, some wish I could hang with these women moments and some sad moments. Lets not forget of course the chemistry these two have and you are more than ready for them to stop circling each other and get down to business already.

I received an advanced reader copy and I am leaving a voluntary review.

Heather's Notes
I have to say I didn't like this quite as much as I have liked the others. Ian was great, but I struggled with Trish. I liked her in the other books, but her hang ups started to get annoying, especially at the end. Still it was cute for the most part, and I did like the epilogue.

Good news and bad news in this book. It's hard not to like this story. The characters are so endearing. They're both beta and really sweet. Ian is delicious, and Trish is likable although inconsistent.

I'm not gonna lie, this seems really slapped together where Trish is concerned. The author changes gears a lot in regard to what we know about Trish's character. This story has a bit of a seat-of-your-pants feel to it. Like the author didn't plot it out, just sat down and started writing, then needed to tweak Trish's character as she went along so it would all make sense. So we have Trish with three different jobs in this story. And she's got a flashy look with tall heels, bright manicures and colorful make up, but she's guarded and doesn't want to be noticed. There's other stuff too that's inconsistent, and none of this really makes sense but ya gotta love Trish's sweet demeanor, charming southern drawl and victimhood status, so we go along with it.

That said, there are some really great things about this story. There's some memorable scenes that are really well written—the visual imagery of Ian in the pool, the bar fight involving the women, and other scenes that are too spoilery to list here. And Ms. Hudson writes a really strong character arc for Ian, during which we see him grow by leaps and bounds. Trish played no small part in that. She gently pushed him to take control of his situation and helped him to progress. We see the two of them getting stronger as a couple and their connection deepen.

In the end these are two exceptionally tender and vulnerable characters that you can't help but love and their romance overrides whatever shortcomings are in the story. (Don't miss the super sweet bonus epilogue—link in the ebook.) The narrators do a great job. Samantha Brentmoor in particular did a fabulous Georgia accent for Trish.

Im going to quote a famous astronaut on how much I loved this book- to Infinity and beyond! Okay, he is actually a fictional space ranger but I’m sure you get it! This is how I feel about the entire Space Series and although you don’t necessarily need to have read the others to enjoy this book, I would definitely recommend it as you get to see Ian and Trish’s chemistry early on and can enjoy catching up with everyone from the other books in this one.
Trish is a southern belle who, as southerners might say, is like whiskey in a teacup. On the outside she is a proper and sweet lady but inside she has a fire. She has some secrets she is keeping and we find out that all is not as it seems from the outside.
Let’s talk about Ian, who not only is one of the sweetest heroes I’ve ever read about, but also a sexy Captain America type who has no problem wearing a Speedo and looking good while doing it. He really is a real life hero with the way he is there for Trish no matter what and really changes her life. I don’t want to spoil anything, but something worth mentioning is that not often do I read about a hero with a form of anxiety and I am so thankful for how it was portrayed in this book. It only made him more lovable with how strong he is and how he works to conquer it, with Trish’s help.
Trish and Ian’s journey to a HEA is hilarious (I don’t think I will ever get the picture out of my head of the bachelorette party), extra steamy, heartwarming, and a little suspenseful. You can also tell the author really knows what she’s talking about in the Astronaut department and you might just find yourself a little smarter after reading this book.
I’m so sad it’s over but I can’t wait for Rose’s story!

I missed this book coming out, so now this and the 4th book are available. I don't remember exact details of books 1 and 2 but loved the nerdy characters (I have a degree in mechanical engineering). I can't remember if the first book was as funny as this one but this one definitely struck my funny bone! I may have LOL'd once or twice but mostly I just smiled a lot reading it.

Trish and Rose are the two female non genius members of their group. That isn't to say that Trish isn't smart. She had a bad start to life and a part of that has her on the run. You don't have to read the book to know she is running from something where she isn't guilty. From the past books and in the first few chapters of this one, a reader could guess anything from an abusive ex to hiding from an arrest where she was protesting something. It does take a while to get to the part about why she is running. A lot further than I expected, actually.

That aside, the ride is great. The interactions between Trish and the nosy housewives of Ian's neighborhood are hilarious. They are houseWIVES yet the leader shamelessly flirts with Ian. Of course, it's just to protect Ian and not because she's jealous (yeah, right).

Trish is a great person and brings joy to the people she hangs out with. She has a relationship with Ian's mom before she knows that's his mom. Unfortunately, Ian's dad is a senator and he doesn't like the idea of Ian dating "trailer park trash." That causes some adversity but Ian always has her back.

Ian played the part of book boyfriend pretty darn well. He only makes one mistake and that is because he is lied to. He goes to great lengths to straighten out her past and win her back.

I can't recommend this book enough. It was such a fun, easy read.

If you’re looking for a unique series with a fresh setting you'll love this Space Series, full of Texas cowboys and NASA astronauts and engineers. I’ve enjoyed all of the books so far but I’ve been eagerly awaiting Trish and Ian's story.

Trish Garrett is a tiny woman with southern sass, a thing for sky-heel shoes, a heart as big as the state of Georgia, and a personality as sweet as the peaches that come from her old stomping grounds. She's had her share of hardships but managed to accomplish a few things while trying to outrun a piece of her past. Her Achilles heel is an inability to trust even her best friends because of the secrets she harbors.

Ian Kincaid may have gotten out from under the thumb of his senator father by studying engineering rather than law, but his father's controlling ways have left their mark. Ian has a tendency to manage situations rather than dealing with them, and when Trish's past catches up with her, Ian is determined to fix things for her, if he can just get her to trust him.

This one has a little something for everyone. With a fascinating peek at the inner workings of NASA, characters who will effortlessly own your heart, a nice dose of steam, and a laugh a minute you'll quickly be immersed in this story and won’t even think of surfacing until the end. Low on angst but full of heart, add Trish and Ian's story to your TBR today, because you won’t want to miss it!
