Meh? I mean, it isn't bad but it is fast-paced, there is a LOT going on with little explanation, and little to no romantic build up except them feeling pulled to one another. But at least there is plot? A why choose with plot that I've yet to read feels so rare which is why I might keep reading, but ehhh I really don't know.
I really don't care for vampire stories. But this series has every kind of paranormal creature ever dreamed of and some I never heard of plus a supra-government worldwide group to keep them under control so that humans run the world! Wren is the heroine and is strong and intelligent through all her trials. She grows closer to her sister and to her four fellow vampires as this thriller progresses. These guys are supposedly hundreds of years old while she started the series as a human college student. None of them can understand their strange attraction. The author did a good job keeping me on the edge of my seat. I will have no hesitation grabbing up the next book in this series.
Just when I was getting a handle on the world, and the characters and the possibilities of what could happen next . . . Literally, everything changes!!! Everything!!!
The best friends are shifters, the sister is a ghoul, then she's not a ghoul, then she's an angel (or half angel), and then their both half angel? And then Wren is a vampire queen, but not really just possessed by one, but then the queen ladies' soul is ripped out, and then Wren somehow survives! But THEN her bond with the guys isn't gone, so was it the vampire queen that had the connection or something else!?!? And who's memories and instincts and SWORD are those!?! This book is insane! I have so many questions!
And if the twins are half angel somehow, why are mommy and daddy 100% human!?! What happened there!?! (30 hours of labour, damn that sucks)
Also, the vamps are being turned bad by Daddy vamp the OG, somehow, and the guys souls are connected to their weapons and we don't know what's happened to 2 of them, and the nicest doctor in the world is definitely dead now and that fricken sucks too!!
On top of all this, if they're going where I think they're going, the next book is not going to start with them recouping or huddling up for a battle plan, they're just gonna be IN BATTLE, and probably the Demon Mansion is going to get hit, and I don't want that.
Oh my gods, there is so much contained in these books. I can't seem to remember to breathe unless there's a chapter break, and even then, it's a short breath.
I give it a thumbs up. And I pray the Cadre will Mashup soon and gets some damn answers.

That last chapter almost made me throw my tablet.. gah i do not lile that Queen shes a bit mean!
This book let me tell you had me so scared and my anxiety was mega high oh my lanta so nervous at timea to turn the page because the book was that good but also soo intense..
I did how ever Love the book obviously and the story picks up a few days after book ends, i was super glad for that, that it didnt do a big time jump forward.
At the beginning i was against Harper but ive come around and now i can tolerate her but her attitute is a bit meh.
This book made me laugh too. The moments was not with the guys but it was mpre focused on Wren and Harper which is okay i guess since there are chapters from the guys and how there journey goes into finding Wren.
The whole situation with the queen is gut wrenching to me, one thing kept me going "things have to become worse before they get better" and i pray they will in the next book! But i have this feeling it will gp worse first!
What i love in this book is the answers you get to questions you didnt know you had! Its amazing.
All i can hope for is that the next book is a little less intense so my poor heart can relax a little lol but truely this book is a master piece, it combines the feelings, the guesses and the mind all into one big boll of fun, joy and heartbreak!
I cant wait to read book 3 ive got so many question i need answers too and need to know whats going to happen next.
I was enthralled by this story from the moment i started reading, and the second book picks up where the first book leaves off. Finding out what has happened to Wren and her sister is horrifying and i just kept hoping for the guys to swoop in and rescue the girls and kill everything that dare harm them. It never works like that. It works out better quite honestly. The resulting chase scenes, the surprising discoveries both of self and others, the near miss reunions, and then finally being partially reunited made for such an adrenaline rush that i wouldn't suggest reading this before bed. We are again left hanging with some serious questions, and having the group once again divided by unexpected forces. I really look forward to the good guys winning and the happy ending, because don't they deserve that after all this?

Wren has been captured by rabids after an attack separated her from the Sentinels. To make matters worse they have turned her twin sister into something she doesn't even have a name for, they are determined to force her to let the being inside of her free, and don't care if doing so kills her. She has no idea if her men survived the attack, so she knows she's the only one she can count on to save her. and her twin. Exciting action, magic, shape shifters, bloody violence, and surprising twists in the plot made it difficult to put this book down. These characters are all fascinating, well written, and compelling. I loved the interactions between Wren and the men. I most definitely recommend this book, and series.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
I did not enjoy this book as much as the others because for almost the ENTIRETY of the book, the group is never together!!! Then when they finally are reunited, it’s only for like an hour, before everything goes to hell? NO! I won’t stand for it!!
I really hope that I am not getting to the point in the series where I start to loose interest. I feel like because most of the books are around 250 pages, that it really helps keep me hooked and interested in finishing the book. Like I read this one in just a couple hours, and that was while having so many plans.
I am going to download the next book, and just hope that I continue to read the series. Who knows, maybe I’ll even finish it!
Action packed drama, mystery, suspense and danger will keep you intrigued from beginning to end as the four Sentinels, Wren and her sister Harper fight the rabids. When danger strikes Wren is thrown for a loop learning what Harper and herself really are. The Sentinels are still leary of Wren not knowing if Amalie is still hiding within her. I suggest reading the first book Blood Pawn in order to get more background. These books are not standalones. Can't wait for next installment Blood Rebel!! Thank you Hidden Gems and the author for a digital copy. Read and reviewed voluntarily and the opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.
Blood Captive was a strong addition to the Vampire Rebellion series. Sierra Rowan did a good job on it, the plot was written well, it's packed with suspense, action and so much more, the characters are stronger than ever. Wren, Liam, Asher, Ulysses and Gideon's journey isn't easy by far, their path had many ups and downs and obstacles, they were fighters though. Wren's connection with her men has grown even stronger. This was a good story, looking forward to reading more. Thanks, Sierra Rowan. Good work :)
Wren comes to in a dungeon with a bowl of blood to tempt her but even though she wanted it she didn’t drink it. She was taken to a hall where a woman dressed in black was waiting her name was Priscilla. She kept says if Wren gave her what she wanted she would let Wren’s sister live. She grabs Wren’s wrist and gets a drop of blood into a bowl. Then they pull the Queen from her. The sentinels are out looking for her. I’m not going to spoil this only to say I cannot wait for the next book. I received an ARC for an honest review which I have given
There is no slowing down in Book 2! Wren sees her sister, but they are both being held captive. Liam, Asher, Ulysses and Gideon have been searching all over the country for her, none willing to give up on her. The more she finds out about why she was taken, the more determined she is to get herself and her sister away from the Rabids. The drama, intrigue, mystery and danger and Wren's attraction to all 4 Sentinals keep mounting throughout the book. I love this twisty-turny, pulse racing book and can't wait for the next one! I received this ARC from Bad boy Updates.
When riding in an elevator one does not feel gravity, one feels inertia. An armada is a naval fleet not a mob. There were more, one in particular is that I'm irritated I can't think of right now. Mostly the story is good but I kept getting hung up on these grammatical issues. The score on this review is based solely on based solely on my irritation levels about editing and not the quality of the story. This tale in the story arc is intriguing enough to be a page turner.
We meet again Wren and the Sentinels in the second book of the series. Wren also meets up with her sister and learns more about the super natural world. All while trying to figure out what the Vampire Queen is up too. This book was just as exciting as the first one. Lots of clues to follow to help figure out what the Vampire Queens end game, along with the role the other characters play. This book follows the slow burn the first one does. A little bit more of the relationship between the characters develop more towards the end of the story. I can’t wait for the third book to come out.
Wren and her twin sister, Harper, we’re enjoying a party by the river when everything became a disaster for Wren. Her “Sentinels” saved her but not before she was turned and also had someone else in her brain… Amalie! This story is very well written in that it is different and unique. The character development is outstanding with the ultimate world building! This is book one and two of a series and yes there is several huge cliffhangers. Great read!.

Things have certainly been interesting since Wren was snatched away by the rabids. The sentinels were hit with some kind of magic that took their ability to shift to smoke away mid flight which resulted in one whopper of a crash to earth. Forced to travel by motorcycle, they split up and start searching for Wren. Meanwhile, starving, Wren is forced to see her sister turned into a ghoul. And that’s as much of this one I’m giving away. Read it for yourself…but be prepared. Things happen that you don’t expect! On to book three!
This is a part of a series that has to be read in order. This book takes off more or less where the first book finishes. I found once I started read this book it was impossible to put down. There’s so much drama suspense twists and deceit that it grab my attention. Strong plot and well developed characters. Looking forward to the next book to see what happen next. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book via Bad Boys Update for an honest opinion.
I absolutely loved this book. You need to read book one first but it was amazing too! There is so much attraction, angst and adventure in this book you won’t be able to put it down! I’ve never read a vampire romance like it! The characters are so great and it’s is nonstop action. Be prepared to stay up late and wake up thinking about this series! I finished reading it a few days ago and am STILL rolling in over and over in my head.
This is the second book in the "Vampire Rebellion" series, it's part of a series that should be read in order. This book picks up close to where the first book left off and had me turning the pages of my kindle not wanting to put it down.
The storyline has lots of drama, suspense, deceit and unexpected twists and turns woven into a strong plot with characters who are well drawn and interesting.
I absolutely love vampire books hence my reading Blood Captive as there is a difference to other vampire stories I've read. If you love reverse harem romance that is steamy, has action & vampires I highly recommend reading this story. What will happen to Wren & the Sentinals?.
I received a free copy of this book via Cherrylily ARCs and am voluntarily leaving a review.
She has been taken captive by the vampires and her sister is helping them. They want to bring their queen back using her body to do so, even if it kills her. She does not even know if anyone survived the attack. Will anyone be able to save her? Can she escape? Will she be able to survive before escaping? See jus where you will be taken in this great tale
This is book 2 in this series and I can’t wait to read book 3, there’s plenty of action, adventure, suspense, danger, twists and turns and so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages. Sorry guys I’m not going to give any spoilers but this story is not a standalone you do need to read book 1 to understand the characters and what’s going on and I highly recommend this book/ series.
Wren has been captured - will the Sentinels be able to find her and save her? What has happened to Harper? Will Amalie succeed in taking over Wren's body? Love the characters and the story line of this series - lots of action, twists and turns - cant wait for the final book!.

This is book two in the Vampire Rebellion series. Starts where the first left off. It includes monsters, vampires of all sorts, and an angel. Lots of action, danger, magic and a bit of romance. Hard to put down. I’m about to start the next book in the series.

I for one; don't care about the difference between gravity and inertia, what a weird thing for a book review, I'm liking this series so far. Sure it's rushed and not at certain times and there are still unanswered questions but the series is in progress. I did get a little detached with the separation of the group but I'm still in it for the duration. Ready for the next book.
This book takes up where the previous one ends. Wren has become a vampire that has powers and her sister to become an angel. This is an addictive read, filled with surprising twists, action, magic and shape shifters in the plot that made it difficult to put this down. Can't wait to read what is up next for Wren and her sister.
Filled with drama, suspense, deceit, desire, violence, and romance, this story flew by as the story went from one tantalizing scene to the next. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading the next book in the series.
This is the second book in this reverse harem (1 girl, 4 guys) and since it’s in media res, things are extra messy for Wren. And there’s vampires. Like everyone is a vamp.
