Lancelot's eyes dropped to the place she shook his palm.
'You have got to be kidding me.'

She had lost everything in just one day her job she tried so hard to find, her fiance she dated half of her life, and what remained of a relationship with her twin sister. The one thing she could not afford to lose was what was left of her dignity — certainly not at a wedding that should have been hers. And that was why she needed him, the handsome stranger across the road.
What Roxanne Harvey didn't know was that this stranger was here to stay.
Lancelot Dankworth, Alpha Prince of the London Pride Pack couldn't believe his eyes. The crazy American woman yelling at his assistant caused his wolf to growl possessively for the first time in 26 years.
He never believe he would be capable of ever loving anyone else, but why can't he seem to keep his emotions in check whenever he was around the crazy American woman?
He loves being alone, he had always been, but why is suddenly being apart from her driving him nuts?
They should not be together. He is an alpha prince and she is a human woman. However, this fact does not stop him from falling head over heels in love with her.
Nice intro, that made me want to buy the book… While I appreciate the fact that the main character isn’t a goddess, all mighty superpowerful being for a change…
She is like a kid that doesn’t know how to behave most of the time. (Acts like a tourist in the palace on many occasions when she’s not welcome, complains about following her boss to trips and being bored ? For 300k/months I think you can get bored and shush it, but hey that’s just me)
Everything happens pretty fast in the beginning, even the marking but what’s the point of the marking ? It’s never really talked about throughout the story. The actions of the male character to convince her to go back to England with him are just a big WTF.
Also as a victim of infidelity herself, she should be showing more signs of struggle towards her feelings when she finds out he’s going to get married to someone, but she doesn’t…at all.
The book itself is long for no reason. It feels like it was written as a webnovel (long chapters, lots of useless details to make you pay more.) which I don’t like because most authors seem to forget their stories and extend it for no reason besides money (I do understand money is important but people buying the next book is as important and that didn’t convince me to do so)
Grammar mistakes, names of characters mixed sometimes. The story would’ve worked better without the werewolves part. The visit of the three kingdoms was more than useless so the supernatural world could be scratched out of the story. The matebond doesn’t mean shit to the elders or the family, so no one actually respects the goddess ? A prince and a commoner’ story would’ve worked just fine.
Anyways it’s perfect when you like a flowerpot as a main character but it’s unfortunately not my case. I would find more interesting a story between Emily and James.
I don’t ever like to read stories about werewolf having human mate, it’s usually a mistake because they are usually too weak to deal with the wolf kingdom and in return are a weakness and liability. Usually, you’ll find out later that they either weren’t fully human or was mixed with something else, which was not the case for this book I brought. Glad for the HEA, I wished the author would have dived deeper into the back story between the humans and supernatural that caused the rift between them which they never explained at all. Also, nothing was mentioned about the characters kids, such as will they be full wolves and be able to shift? Will the pack accept the next alpha since he is of mixed breed?
Now...first thing first. Just because it wasn't my cup of tea doesn't mean it isn't someone else's. After all, it was interesting enough for me to buy it.
Unfortunately, it wasn't capable of keeping my interest. Roxanne is not my preferred type of person. She keeps letting herself be used by her family and I have more of a 'scorched earth' policy. Betray me once, shame on you. Betray me twice, shame on me. So, her parts of the story were already grating a little and then Lancelot returns to London. Oh boy. I had whiplash. Alpha Prince (hot, dangerous and mysterious) to a pretty much-whipped puppy for his family. Ouch. And also no. That was so unbelievable and disquieting that I just gave up. I didn't like either of the characters, so why keep reading?
It ended up how I guessed it would, but I wish there would’ve been more apprehension between Roxanne and Lancelot. He treated her just as bad as her fiancé and even with everything that she got dragged through it seems like he got off easy. I’m glad she had Emily to help her and wish there would’ve been a bit of karma towards her family because they deserved it. I would’ve liked to see more of the different kingdoms towards the end, and maybe a twist involving Bran. Seems like it rushed towards a “happy ending” but I’d still recommend this as a werewolf romance.
I started reading this book on Passions, got tired of only reading the story one or two chapters at a time. So searched for the book and found one that I could read through. The book has a very good story line. But, I struggled with some of the editing. Or lack thereof. The author left out an explanation for some parts of the story. The time frame didn't match up for the story at times. Or maybe it's my OCD that struggles with that. I would buy a copy of the book to have a physical copy if the grammatical errors were not in there.
decent read. had to stop and come back to it a few times when the story got repetitive or boring. felt like there should be a second book. ending felt rushed and a lot was left open to interpretation
1. She forgive her relatives to quickly 2. No explanation to her from Lancelot 3. No clear why Garrett hatred was so deep Apart of this very entertaining.
