Picking up right where book 5 left off, Saffron is finally reunited with her father, only to learn that a violent Russian gang is after him and the only way to keep their family safe is to either go into hiding or find the evidence that Dad went into witness protection for 20 years ago. It turns out the evidence is hidden on a ship, so Saffron sets sail, only to discover that she doesn't know who she can trust, and she's not the only one in danger if things don't go exactly right.
This is not what I was expecting, and the plausibility is stretched a bit thin. But I can't deny that the mystery was intriguing and the setting full of fun facts and interesting moments. I hope in the next book we get to spend more time with the chickens, though.

This was a fun read. It was a slight departure from the typical Hawaii scene but it was just as fun and entertaining. It was a great adventure that had lots of twists and surprises. I really enjoyed this one and am excited for the next adventure.

One of my favorite series
This is not heavy literature. This is light, fun, and sunny reading. Hawai’i is my favorite place on earth and these books are so descriptive it makes me feel like I’m right back there.
This book was a little different, since it mostly takes place on the USS Missouri. The author does a fantastic job of recreating what I experienced when I toured the Mighty Mo.
I enjoyed this book, though I missed the hens and her friends. Excited that the next is already out. Please continue laying more.

Exciting Mystery
Saffron is reunited with her father and they go undercover to try to find the evidence that will keep him alive, them alive. Exciting and intriguing action keeps this book a page-turner.

Another winner in the Aloha Chicken series!
As usual, solid mystery plotting, deft characterisation, and a nicely twisty story. The budding relationship between Saffron and her father is a solid subplot.

Excellent!
I love the resourceful amateur detective. I also enjoy the clues that her gift allows her to uncover. There's some history in this volume. Having had the grace of living in Hawaii for a few years, the reminders of o-hana (family) acceptance, the foods, the flora, the ocean, is making me wish to revisit those memories. The topic of Hawaiian donuts makes me crave them! This keyboard does not like unusual words, so I will leave this to entice other readers!

Loving this series
Always a good read. I'm loving the series and want to read them all at once! This book did amazing pulling in history and plausible scenarios.

Totally Different Adventure!
Saffron has a new nickname - Sunny. She stills figures out the solution to problem she finds herself in the middle of. An interesting read.
