Now an Amazon bestselling author, Sylvia Price is an author of Amish and contemporary romance and women’s fiction. She especially loves writing uplifting stories about second chances!

Sylvia was inspired to write about the Amish as a result of the enduring legacy of Mennonite missionaries in her life. While living with them for three weeks, they got her a library card and encouraged her to start reading to cope with the loss of television and radio, giving Sylvia a new-found appreciation for books.

Although raised in the cosmopolitan city of Montréal, Sylvia spent her adolescent and young adult years in Nova Scotia, and the beautiful countryside landscapes and ocean views serve as the backdrop to her contemporary novels.

After meeting and falling in love with an American while living abroad, Sylvia now resides in the US. She spends her days writing, hoping to inspire the next generation to read more stories. When she’s not writing, Sylvia stays busy making sure her three young children are alive and well-fed.

This story is a super good one. I ‘clicked’ with Josephine and her personality came to life. In the story line she became so real, she shared her inner most thoughts and continuously bucked against what didn’t settle easily with her ‘wants’… and yet she constantly opened and turned to God, yielding to the desire to keep Him first in her life.

This book is great! This is the third book in a series and so far each one has been better than the one before. This series is so enjoyable… I am ready for the next book.
There is not much I can say about what is happening in Josephine’s life without it becoming spoilers. I can just say that I have become attached to this family as they deal with going on with life after losing their husband/father in the first book. So far, I am most attached to Josephine. She is strong enough to speak her mind, stand by her desires and yet turns to God for His direction on her life and future. This series is worth reading.
I received an ARC copy from the author and she requested a posted review. I can easily say I this is my honest opinion of this book, series, and author… She writes well and her books are a delight to read. Thanks, Sylvia, for another super job.

I'm enjoying reading the Yoder Family Saga and look forward to reading more in this series. A Path for Tomorrow is Josephine's story and she really shined in this book. She and Matthew are forced to work together on Abe's horse farm when Abe has to travel to his sister's farm to help out there. She and Matthew are like oil and water when they first meet but they begin to depend on one another when a horse goes missing while they're in charge of the farm.

I loved the attention to details and the descriptions that made me feel like I was there. The Yoder family was woven throughout and I liked catching up with them. There are heartwarming moments as well as some filled with worry and angst. The story has a nice flow and a happily ever after in the offing I just wished the book had gone on a little longer.

Ms. Price is a fairly new to me author only having read the three books in this series and one other. I look forward to reading more of her books and I added some to my always growing TBR pile.

I rated the book 4.5 stars but rounded to 5 stars here and on other sites.

I received an advance reader copy of A Path for Tomorrow by the author to review.

Josephine Yoder has a dream of owning a horse farm someday. She works part-time on a horse farm to help pay for her family's bakery. When her boss, Abe Schmidt, has to go away for a few weeks to take care of family matters, he hires Matthew Wagler to help Josephine look after the horses. Josephine is not happy and believes that she can run the farm herself.

Matthew believes that Josephine would feel better working in the kitchen than doing manual work on the farm. So, they do not hit it off right away. He does not realize that Josephine prefers to be outside working with the horses--not in the kitchen.

When one of Abe's horses goes missing, Josephine realizes that she needs Matthew's help to find the horse. When they find out who the horse thief is, they face a difficult decision on how to handle the situation. Over time, they both come to realize that they need each other.

A story of two people not giving up on their dreams, and facing the future together with faith, hope, and love.

I really enjoyed the romance which was full of good moral truths. Josephine and Matthew experienced many situations in this short story that ended far too soon. Life and change can be difficult and challenging and yet they can bring people together into a wonderful relationship when they are forced to work together. We see that when a struggling neighbor decides to take things into his own hands instead of trusting God. one can start to justify doing wrong things that hurt a lot of people. Another gem hidden here is that we can never out give God for when we help others we end up getting it back with a bonus. These truths are well hidden in a great love story and only realized as the reader reflects back on the whole picture. This is a great romance and I highly recommend it.

Josephine worked for AbeSchmidt on is horse farm. She loved working with the horses. One day Abe told her that there was a new worker named Matthew. Matthew and Josephine both had strong feelings about working together. They were to care for Abe's farm while he was gone for two weeks visiting his sister. During the two weeks a horse was stolen and they worked together to get the horse back. As they worked together they both realized their opinion of the other at first was very wrong. Can they work through that and a friendship or relationship grow? I enjoyed reading this story.

Good story
Matthew's introduction to Josephine, and to the readers, is a bit jarring. It's not so much that he states his opinions rather vehemently, but that those opinions are already a sore spot with Josephine. We quickly see he is a nice guy though.

From our perspective, the horse is easily found and the thief identified, but what to do with that info?

I love that these young people turn to prayer and turn to the adults in their lives for advice.

Josephine was at Abe's farm exercising his prize horse. When she was finished, Abe told her he had a surprise for her. They went in the barn, and he introduced her to Matthew. Abe was going out of town for two weeks and felt like Josephine would need help while he was gone. She wasn't happy about him being there. Would they be able to get along in order to get the work done? Will they maybe become friends? These questions will be answered in the story.

I received a free ARC, and this is my honest opinion.

Book 2 of the Yoder Family saga. Josephine is the 3rd of Miriam and Jeremiah Yoder daughters.
She is stubborn, "headstrong and focused on her own dreams", but
"she had sworn off the possibility of a man, children, and a family of her own".
In this book you can learn good topics: help others in need, forgive, stay focurs on your own believes,
trust in people, work hard, accept news and difficulties in the life and try hard to solve them.
Good book, well written, haunting, fast to read, enjoy!

This is the first Amish romance series I have read and each installment gets better as I get to know the Yoder family and want the best for them. I really liked the friendship that Matthew and Josephine have after working together on Abe Schmidt's horse farm while he goes to help his sister for two weeks. If you enjoy a sweet story centering around faith and family, you should read Path for Tomorrow. I look forward to see what happens next with the Yoder family. I received an ARC to review: Josephine and Matthew's story is my fav so far in the series; the immediate rivalry between the 2 when they first meet and the mystery of the missing horse under their care pulls the reader in at the get-go and keeps you turning the pages to find out how both sub-plots end! A delightful read that reminds the reader that faith in God is truly the answer to every question in life.

Abe has to leave fir two weeks and leaves them to work together. When a horse is stolen can they set aside their animosity for each other to work together to find Abe’s horse? Will they find that each isn’t as bad as they thought?

Each book gets better. Josephine wants to work outside on a horse farm instead of the usual Amish maiden's work. She has to learn to work with Matthew when her employer has to be out of town for two weeks. Things turn bad when one of the expensive horses is stolen. They have to pray they know what to do about the situation. Both Matthew and Josephine turn to God for answers. I'm excited to see where the next book takes the family.

I've read a lot of books written by Sylvia Price; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This is the second book in the Yoder Family Saga Series; it is a stand-alone book but is better if read in order. The story is about Josephine & Abe.

enjoyed reading this book about a third daughter from Yoder family. She is strong and not typically Amish woman what makes her a unique character. It was great to observe how she is changing during working on the horse farm along with new coworker.

Book 2 in this series is just as good as book 1 was.
A different side of Josephine comes out and she’s just a little skeptical about the changes.
There are different things in this book that will make you want to read it in one sitting – I did!
Well done!

The Yoder family story is continued in this book by Sylvia Price with the focus on Josephine. Josephine doesn't quite meet the norm when it comes to what is expected from Amish women but she is determined to follow her dreams.

BOOK 2; Continuation of the Yoda Family Saga
This one is about Josephine-- lover of animal rather than man as well as competitive. Josephine and a new farmhand are left to tend farm while the owner was away. Although their personalities clash, they must work together as a team when a valuable horse is stolen. Will this situation help them to become better coworkers or as archenemies?
