I'm sure this book was very informative, but I went in expecting a book catering to the common person who has a light interest in the field and wants more information. It ended up full of jargon and almost a recitation of facts. The writing wasn't gripping and the information was painfully dry. DNF

Unlike Lee's other case-history books, this one is almost a first-year guide for people planning to study criminal forensics. It covers the history, the how, where, and why. Although it mentions and touches on some of the most famous cases Lee has covered, they are not the focus. This is a book primarily focused on methodology. If you plan a career in the field, or are considering one, this book is a must for you.

Probably written for someone who wants to become a forensic scientist. Information was unorganized. Dr. Lee was involved in solving some infamous crimes but the book gave little attention to these cases.
