This book is worth having for the photos--there are many, some of better quality than others, and the photos and the book are large. The history isn't well-written or presented, but not bad.
This is for the Medical History Buff's Coffee Table. It is fun to browse through.

Gorgeousssss book. Addressing one of the reviews, I think at first sight it’s obvious it’s not going to literally be this extremely detailed and thorough history of medicine, as the book is illustrated and offers more visual value, but I think it’s best that way. Yes it looks gorgeous on a coffee table, but really opening it and actually reading it feels like unveiling a treasure with hundreds of paintings, anatomical drawings, and photographs and informative texts showcasing the history medicine from ancient times to now. It really inspires a sense of awe on how far science and humanity as a whole has come. This book is big and heavy so you can’t really take it with you anywhere, but i encourage anyone interested in medicine to lay in bed and dissect this thing. It can be completed in two or three days.

I recently read about a disease and realized that it is quite serious and can damage a person's health for life. Really https://easystd.com/hepatitis-c is one of the worst diseases that can happen to a person. The important thing is that it can be treated in its early stages. I think a lot of people should know more about it.

I picked this up solely because i had driven by the library and stopped there and the book was so heavy I knew I had to choose it in order to take it home in the car.

Heavy book. Heavy content. some of it freaky. But reading the history in pictures is really easy. It was interesting that the ancient medicine began with prehistory cave paintings and Incan artifacts.
