This is an extreme horror. It is written for those who enjoy such content. It is not for those who are easily shocked, or offended. The act of inserting objects into the rectum or vagina. When a husband's marriage breaks down, he finds himself living alone with not much to look forward to. His days are nothing but the same old thing, over and over again. That is, until Friday night, when he takes a few minutes to "enjoy" himself, watching various videos online. But, when he gets bored of the usual vanilla sites, he soon finds himself looking at darker and more obscure sites to gets his kicks. That's when he stumbles across a new "like" he'd not seen before... One which gives him hope on how to kick-start his marriage again and rebuild what was once a solid family unit.
MATT SHAW was born, quite by accident (his mother tripped, he shot out) September 30th 1980 in Winchester hospital where he was immediately placed on the baby ward and EBay. Some twelve years later (wandering the corridors of the hospital and playing with road kill when he was on day release), the listing closed and he remained unsold, he was booted out of the hospital to start his life as a writer and hobbit – beginning with writing screenplays and short stories for his own amusement before finally getting published when he was twenty-seven years and forty-five seconds old.
Once Published weekly in a lad's magazine with his photography work, Matt Shaw is also a published author and cartoonist. Has to be said, can be a bit of a flirt and definitely, without a shadow of a doubt, somewhat of a klutz.
Favourite books "Roald Dahl's Collection of Short Stories" Tim Burton's Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy Anything, really, written by himself. Because he is that good.
Oh Matt Shaw, what it’d be like to live in your head! 😂 this novella is hilarious, grotesque, and tragic, in the true splatterpunk/extreme tradition! I loved it, but “BE WARNED”....not everyone will!! There are some LOL moments, but it does take a dark turn! I love Matt Shaw, he never holds back, and just slaps you in the face with whatever awesomely grotesque stuff, he continues to give us. He can do no wrong!! 5 🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈 stars!!
3.5 stars. This was downright nauseating. When the inevitable twist happened, my jaw dropped. Reader be advised, this will make your last meal come back up. I really struggled with how our lead's experiences led him to such a fetish. Good background and character set-up, but then the internal logic sort of fell short. Matt Shaw tried, but that aspect just didn't connect for me. And the ending felt really cut short, almost like a few pages were missing from it. A good way to ick yourself out, especially for extreme horror fans, but not of enough substance to be anything beyond a gross out fest.
I love learning new words, especially ones that mean sticking stuff up in yourself. When Shaw warns this is extreme, he really really means it. This is what's great about extreme horror, there are imaginary boundaries in other horror that people just don't cross. Shaw saw that boundary, pushed it, kicked it, and then propelled it into an area that I'm sure some people might find offensive. I didn't. I loved it bunches
Not one of the best from Matt Shaw to be honest...I found it a little boring and slow with not much going on,I did expect a lot more inserting of objects given the title of the book...but not much of that went on!!! I did understand where the book was going but it didn't float my boat or keep me interested. Matt Shaw has and can write much much better than this 👎😩😣😞🙄
This was an amazing read but totally gross. The storyline was brilliant and heart felt for part then things change and you can envision the worst sights and smells. The pure craziness that the main character is believing to be right. And the worst part is you could actually imagine that this could of actually happened somewhere in the world. Due to the circumstances, and happenings that has happened to the main character in such a short time, they couldn't think straight, which sets him on the strangest path. A harsh reality to a the story. But a fascinating read, that fills you with so many emotions, but a clear one at the end of 'nausea!
There is a point in this book where i realised what was coming but that didn't stop me from throwing up in my mouth a little bit when it did! This book is extreme but also really really sad!
Sometimes I seriously question the books that are suggested on kindle😂😂 While I prefer smutty romances, this horror popped up and since it was fast, I decided to give it at try. The story was predictable despite it being gruesome, but it was still a freaky little read. I enjoyed it but I kinda felt like I wanted more. The MC was unemotional despite going through some traumatic events in the recent past. I guess he just snapped afterwards and thought he had found a solution to all his problems. Things quickly took a turn into dark & morbid but I personally felt like the story needed a bit more. I mean, it was excellent for a short horror story, I just felt like it’s not the end of the road for the MC. It was written from the crazy male characters’ POV, which was fun, getting into the crazy broken mind of a psycho, but I thought it was just ok.
A broken marriage, same shit day in day out, and vanilla sex are all this ex husband has to look forward to. Craving the unity thry once shared, our main character discovers a new obsession, an obsession he prays will piece his family back together again.
This story reminded me immensely of the novel "Woom" despite the fact they share only mild similarities. I think Shaw has once again shocked me beyond words as I wasn't prepared for this bizarre story inside. It's both heart breaking and repulsive. 5 🌟
I went into this completely blind I bought it for the .99 sale. I didn’t know what to expect but I did see a couple reviews saying it wasn’t horror. I completely disagree, it’s not horror until the “Mummy” Chapter. Then it’s nothing but horror. It did end pretty quick but again there’s no way it could have went on any longer. It’s a short book I read in an hour and a half. It’s gross and the beginning is a little slow but necessary. I give it 3.5 stars overall!
POLYEMBOLOKOILAMANIA - is the act of inserting foreign bodies into orifices such as the rectum and vagina.
I really thought this novella was about this very particular sexual kink. However, Matt Shaw used a sledgehammer of a story line to hit me in the feels.. well done sir.. well fucking done!
Sick as hell and so good. I was squirming and gagging the whole time reading this. Literally felt like puking. It was awesome. I hope I never have to read this again. Very interesting and unique concept. I knew how it would end but still… reading it was just one big gag fest and that’s kinda what I’m here for.
Another 5 star read from Matt Shaw, probably the biggest voice in extreme horror right now. Polyembolokoimania was so good I read it in one sitting. The suspense and mystery builds up to a hell of an ending.
Could premise for a story , anything Matt writes is always readable , through clenched fists , shivering in grotesque , having a tear in my eye . Matt turns his writing skills to any genre .
I don’t really recommend this unless you have a strong stomach and are into extreme horror. Literally so disgusting. A quick read. Definitely shocking and gross. Good storyline. The guy needs serious help… he’s either lost his mind or needs to read a few books
Very twisted turn. But made me feel for the male main character so felt this was a rollercoaster of emotions really a sit was disgusting yet emotional? How is that even possible? And don’t even get me to pronounce the name of this haha
definitely a slower start but in the best way. This book really built up to the extreme part and just body slams you when it gets to it! the last 20 pages are incredibly intense but the book as a whole is such a page turner and I could not put it down!
Don’t read this if you can’t handle triggers! If you can then enjoy the ride 🖤 This was my first read and definitely will not be my last, can’t wait to read more! He did not disappoint whatsoever
