‘Beware of bad guys who clip their toenails’ – A super fun new band of superheroes!

New children’s books author Jon Haney makes a solid impression with his debut publication – THE ADVENTURES OF PB&J: ATTACK OF THE GREEN GOO - assisted by the Illustrations by Oleg Kravets. Jon’s wit and play with names pervades this fresh superhero story while offering concepts of personality development and self-acceptance that subtly bring wholesome lessons to the readers.

Jon introduces the ‘bad guy’ first as the Introduction states – ‘When Dr. Vile rolled into town on his super green-goo machine, his really bad haircut blowing in the breeze behind him like a wet rag, he had only one thought in mind: take over the world. Of course, he was also thinking about the juicy-looking tacos he had just passed. Besides, Dr. Vile could just make food – any kind of food – using his green-goo zapper. It was all part of his nasty plan.’ With that curtain opener, the ‘good-guys’ led by superhero PB&J, cope with Dr. Vile and the result is a fast-paced and very funny (and fun!) adventure – with added ‘Superhero Tips’ to challenge the reader! Very successful debut book, this!

The Adventures of PB&J: Attack of the Green Goo is a witty tale about a boy superhero who has the cool ability to shoot sandwiches out of his hands.
With a free spirit cover and colorful illustrations mingled in the pages, the book gets catchy and the storyline is captivating and attractive. The dialogues seem authentic and they have been strategically placed in the different chapters.
All grandpas are aware of our grandkids' love for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, so what better than a book which main theme is actually that?
Besides, kids love superheroes, what makes this book a perfect fit for any kid out there.

The Adventures of PB&J: Attack of the Green Goo is a funny story for children, by author Jon Haney.

Main character PB&J can shoot sandwiches out of his hands, and this seems to be useless. But he may have the opportunity to save the world! This young superhero must learn to value his superpower and to take advantage of it. This could be a perfect resemble for young readers to learn how to value themselves and to high their self-esteem.

Apart from this interesting plot, I like the colourful drawing in the cover that gives life to the amusing characters. It hooks kids to start reading, and then to follow the story with their imagination!

The Adventures of PB&J: Attack of the Green Goo is an entertaining book for children. This work tells the story of PB&J, a boy with a very special superpower, who shoots hamburgers from his hands. We may think that all is fun for this young protagonist, but it comes the time when he has to face evil and act as a real superhero.
The reading is very simple and it is accompanied by illustrations that make the tale very interesting and fun. Laughs flew through the house while we read the adventures of this entertaining character.
This book is a great option for young children but anyone can enjoy it.

Very Fun Book

I read this book to my almost 7 year old and her remarks were “that was awesome!” when I said “the end.” I also caught my almost 13 year old eavesdropping and getting excited about the story.

It had good humor and kept me nearly as entertained as my children, I would definitely recommend this to other parents whether they will be reading it to their child or helping their independent reader choose a book.

With colourful and entertaining drawings, The Adventures of PB&J: Attack of the Green Goo by author Haney is an enjoyable story for kids and teens. It has a good length for the intended audience, so I think it is perfect to give it as a gift. The adventures the characters go through are thrilling. The story presents us with a different kind of hero and this is something really good.
I would recommend reading this story to kids and teens because I am sure they will like it. I gave it as a gift to my niece and nephew and they really enjoyed this story.

An interesting concept for a book. The “Superhero tips” and illustrations are a nice plus. Some of the vocabulary is more advanced, so it may not be for the early reader. However, it was a pretty fun book overall.
