Charlotte McLaren is on a mission to find the murderer of her father. Despite her attempts to track down the culprit, she has come up empty-handed. Determined to find answers, she enlists the help of a detective. Their investigation leads them to believe the killer has fled to Oregon, leading Charlotte and her uncle Ned to join a wagon train heading west in pursuit.
Nicolas Kelly has just taken on a new role as a Pinkerton detective in the Oregon Territory. When news reaches him that a wanted murderer has been spotted near Fort Boise, he sets out to capture the culprit before anyone else can. He joins a wagon train headed west, believing it to be a possible hiding place for the man. But little does he know that one of the passengers, Charlotte, is also on the hunt for the same murderer.
Will Charlotte find the man who killed her father? Or will Nicolas get in the way of everything she’s worked for and let the man who killed her father slip through her fingers?

What a wonderful way to end a series. We have met five young women on this wagon train heading to Oregon. This last book, focused on Charlotte. Charlotte has been searching for the man who murdered her Father, when she was five years old. Nothing or no one is going to stop her, not even a Pinkerton Agent. Agent Nicolas Kelly is searching for a murderer too, with no success. He finally gets a tip that he was heading to Oregon. When Charlotte and Nicolas meet the first time, sparks are flying. He will stop at nothing to get his man. Little did either of them know, but they were searching for the same man. I was given an ARC of this book by the author for an honest review.
Her Wagon Train Pinkerton by London James is a sweet historical romance featuring Charlotte and Nicolas. Charlotte and her uncle are on the wagon train to Oregon, and Charlotte is looking for the man who murdered her father. Nicolas, a Pinkerton agent, joins the wagon train in an effort to find a fugitive he’s been searching for. Charlotte and Nicolas get off to a rocky start, but it's not long before they realize they have feelings for each other. However, Nicolas is determined to protect Charlotte, while she is determined to find her father's killer. If you like sweet historical romance, then you won’t want to miss this one!
All wrapped up in a bow! This final book of the women on the wagon train to Oregon was a very nice read! Without giving anything away, though the way London wrapped this series up was wonderful, this final book left me with a feeling of “that didn’t feel right” regarding Charlotte’s and Nicholas’s reaction to the situation. However, it also left me with the thought provoking process that this could be real life. Overall, I loved the book AND the series! I was given a complimentary copy. My opinions are my own.
This is the fifth and last in this series of five women and their adventures on the wagon trail song the Oregon trail. Nicolas is a Pinkerton agent searching for a killer of several men. Charlotte is a young lass with a vengeful hunt for the man that she witnessed murdering her father ten years ago. Neither knew they were searching for the same man. They find adventure and lots of excitement as they find their way to Oregon. You will enjoy discovering how they find their happily ever after.
This is an enjoyable historical romance with a few surprises. The characters are heading to Oregon for a better life and hopefully a better situation. When a Pinkerton comes along it makes this wagon train much more interesting to travel in. The story really caught my interest early on and kept me reading. Since this is the finale of the series and it interconnects with references to the other stories in the series; reading in order is the best though still can enjoy on its own.
She sees a man murder her father at 5 years old It scars her for life. She wants to catch him and kill him!!! She joins a wagon train with her uncle and keeps looking for him. And then a Pinkerton joins the train . . . and he’s looking too!!! And life gets good?? I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All thoughts and comments are my own.
5his was a very nice book to read. London Jame has done a very good job in writing this book. Charlotte is looking for the man who murdered her father. Nicholas is looking for the same man. Who will find him first? You will need to read it.
I recommend reading her wagon train Pinkerton book 5. It is very well written holding my interest all the way to the end! Hope to read more of London James books! The characters stories flow so well and keep your interest!
