After living with the Johnson pack for months, it seems like she finally has a place to call home...if she can hold herself together long enough to get back home to it. Waking up alone in a hospital room after risking her life for the omega she loves and his pack might prove to be more than she can handle. Jasper has her heart, and she has his, but Devon and the rest of the pack are a different matter.
Besides facing the trauma of her past and the uncertainty of her future, Talia must now face the traitors who tried to break her, and are trying to destroy everything she loves.
The question is will she have a pack to stand behind her, or will she have to do it alone?
Warning: This book contains intense and graphic physical and sexual situations that could be disturbing for some people. There is a more specific list everywhere I have presence. Please read with caution.
I never know what to tell people about myself. I live at home with my handsome bearded half, my brats, and my zoo.
The characters in my stories are very vocal and demanding. They have no problem keeping me up at night until their lives are properly displayed on paper.
I write about everything from alphas to vampires to hockey players, and everything in between. Welcome to chaos!
Unfortunately this did not hit the mark for me and I wanted to DNF it multiple times. I have a lot of issues with this book and series that had me feeling annoyed, irritated, mad and rolling my eyes. This book was riddled with inconsistencies. Not just between book one and book two but in book two in and of itself. Along with plot holes, flip flopping emotions, lack of character development, characters out of character, and overall wordy.
***This review will contain spoilers.
I immediately had issues with Talia waking up in the hospital alone. Given the fact that Jasper is obsessed with her and was broken the first time she left, I feel like it’s out of character for him to not be at the hospital or checking in numerous times. While Talia is at the hospital the entire hospital staff treated her terribly and pretty much wasn’t understanding why she wasn’t healed yet even with the treatments she was getting. They were also telling her she needed to try harder. Made comments like ‘right as rain for when you have sex again’ and ‘talk some sense into her’. There was a complete lack of care with the hospital staff most of the time and then moments where it seemed like they cared. So even these characters who aren’t part of the main story were flip flopping in their treatment of her. They seemed to care more about her vagina healing from being raped rather than healing her mind and helping her handle and heal from the trauma she’s been through. (What is this hospital staff?!)
The only thing that spurs Jasper into action to go to the hospital is when he finds out that Talia is an omega, so he was content with leaving her in the hospital alone when she was a beta, but because she’s an omega it matters more? And when she does go back to the farmhouse, she immediately jumps into sex and has no issues.
The way the rape was handled was atrocious. Everyone glossed over it and pretty much didn’t care what had happened to Talia. There was no conversation about what she went through. There was no apologies for not coming after and finding her. There was no appreciation for what she put herself on the line for. Nothing. With how book one ended and explained how brutal her rape and beating had been to being completely ignored was absolutely disgusting and a grave injustice. And to go from that to immediately having sex and craving these alpha’s cum? I was cringing.
Inconsistencies/plot holes: -bk 1: Talia only had a sexual relationship with Corso 3 years ago -bk 2: she slept with Corso, Reid and Alex 3 years ago -bk 1: Seth is a bad guy for raping her and what he did -bk 2: Seth is somehow redeemable/redeemed because he ‘was forced to do it’
One of the confusing parts of this story was the whole rogue plot line, which is pretty much the entire plot (or the entire plot minus the sex). Not only is it confusing, but it is riddled with holes and inconsistencies. In book one she was given back to the alphas as a premonition of what’s to come for Jasper and to warn him that they will kill his alphas. Yet in book two they seemed to know who she was the entire time. And her and Jasper have always been the targets. So why was she given back? If they knew who she was wouldn’t they have pictures of her? Which adds to the confusion in book two since the rogues come to the house and yet don’t take Jasper. Also during this time Jasper is locked in a freezer due to Devon’s alpha bark yet he knows his alphas were taken and also knows who attacked Devon. How did he see all this happen from the basement freezer when it was taking place in the kitchen which is the floor above the basement? If the rogues saw Jasper at all wouldn’t they take him? And once they captured his alphas, why would they leave the farmhouse without searching it for Jasper? Since that was the entire goal in the first book.
Talia’s flip flopping emotions gave me whiplash. First the thought of Corso touching her makes her skin crawl, but then she’s fine with calling him in for her first heat. Then Corso bites her, she’s immediately upset, wants to kill him and or herself, seems to cry about it for a minute and then says how this is all for the best. Everyone of course is on the same page (since there is never any conflict with these characters) and immediately is saying how she’s loved Corso all along. All this happens in such a short time frame and yes she’s always had feelings for Corso, but she literally was saying how Jasper’s pack would be enough for her and now she can’t imagine her life without Corso. If that was the case then why wouldn’t she want Corso to be part of the pack all along and try to see if that could work and everything moving forward. Talia is quick to forgive literally everyone. Even Seth. She defends and stands up for everyone and justifies everything. Yet at the same time will hold others accountable.
Since the pack is getting bigger, there are more POV’s that we get and again pretty much all these male characters sound the same. And similarly to book one, every change of POV pretty much had summaries from the previous POV making it feel repetitious and like they all shared identical thoughts. There were several times I would be reading and I couldn’t tell you whose POV I was in. There were also very lengthy monologues and inner monologues. Lots of telling/talking and no showing/action. Pretty much no character development or growth. Again everyone just always agrees with everyone, there is no inner pack conflicts. Their apologies felt very half-assed or fell flat to me. It was like yeah I fucked up, won’t do it again, trust me to show you and prove to you that I deserve you. And yet do nothing to prove it. There is no doting on her, getting her gifts, spoiling her, groveling, nothing. (outside of Corso buying her stuff because he's invited to her heat...)
And lastly, Devon. This fool had an entire book to make things right and I feel like he literally does NOTHING! He helps her through a heat spike and that’s basically it. We don’t see him again until the end of the book when Talia is DOTING ON HIM!!!! Talia visits him in the hospital, constantly checks in on him, has her mother looking after him, dotes on him when they bring him home…umm…WHAT?!?!?! Why was Talia not given the same treatment?! The only defense I had for Devon was when everyone got upset with him for allowing Talia to drink coffee. Like that only falls on Devon? And you are telling me she never drank coffee at Corso’s? No one but Devon saw her drink coffee? It just seemed like such a useless throw in to add to ‘why we hate Devon’.
I could not stand the fact that Talia is still basically treated like shit. AGAIN. Corso’s pack gets upset that Devon and his pack treated her terribly, but do nothing about it. She has to sit through a conversation and listen to someone who had raped her in her past to try to ‘get more information’. It was just so disgusting. Her alpha’s don’t stand up for her at all, yet are mad that these men raped her. Then when it comes time to serve Seth his justice, he’s absolved and forgiven. Why are these alpha’s weak? What happened to the strong FMC from book one?
This book just felt like a mess. When I wasn’t feeling enraged while reading this, I was finding plot holes after plot holes. Rolling my eyes at the ninja assassin omegas. Still drawing comparisons to Pack Darling (the whole thing with Reid...sound familiar?). And cringing through so many of the sex scenes as well. And the alpha’s from Corso’s pack jump on the opportunity to bond and fuck Jasper. So who is this book about? Talia or Jasper? Why is Talia constantly struggling with her “new” designation, constantly being overlooked for Jasper, and also constantly being walked all over and treated terribly? I understand being an omega is new, but she refuses to try to accept it which just feels repetitive and makes her come off weak. Not to mention she struggles with being an omega yet has zero issues with being raped multiple times in her life? Struggles with being an omega but can put up with being treated this awfully? This book failed to address the ending to book one. Which really just makes me feel like the rape was thrown in for nothing other than extreme shock value which again just adds to my enraged feelings towards this series as a whole.
So I went into The Beta: Part 2 hoping that it would really nicely tie off the first part and give us a proper romance. I’m disappointed.
1. Corso and his pack are present for Talia’s heat now that she’s presented as an Omega, and they inevitably join the pack. I loved this idea SO much, and I definitely felt like it was what Talia deserved. But, the execution was a little lacking here because we’re now given three more alphas for Talia that we need to get to know, and that doesn’t happen. 2. Talia’s an afterthought. Seriously, I can’t get past this. YES, I get it! Talia’s character is selfless in so many ways, and she constantly puts everyone ahead of her, especially Jasper. But do you know how hard it was to read about everything she went through, only for her to come back and she’s still not treated as she should be. She’s an Omega just like Jasper. They should covet her just like Jasper. They should care for her just like they do Jasper. She should be spoiled. She should be worshiped. The pack doesn’t do this. Corso and his pack discuss that Talia deserves better and that they need to actively give her more, but they don’t end up practicing this. Actually, Reid & Alex just end up starting a relationship and bonding with Jasper. Which could be fine, except once again, I find myself feeling awful that Talia is an afterthought. She is somehow always second best. Whether or not this is the intention that the author had, this is how it comes across to me. Talia once again ends up putting everyone ahead of her, and saving the day. She deserves better. Sorry NOT sorry. The woman was kidnapped, tortured, and r*ped and it’s seriously not made into a big enough deal or addressed enough. The woman gets her first bond and struggles with it so much that she grabs a gun and holds it to her temple in a panic. Her pack does not do enough here, and they don’t address and discuss these two situations at all. Like FFS. 3. The book is honestly too fast paced and has too much going on in such a short amount of pages, that it’s too shallow. We don’t get to know the Alphas well enough, we don’t get to see relationships actually grow and blossom, we don’t get to see Talia actually get treated better, etc etc. We have so many characters in this book that, ultimately, the only alphas who actually end up sticking out are Corso, Devon, and Reid. Everyone else is just background noise and it’s annoying.
I wish this book was more fleshed out and had just… More. It needs more to make me care. I only really care about Talia and Jasper, and I find myself frustrated that Talia doesn’t get everything she deserves. 1/5⭐️

I don't think these omegaverses with one female and one male omega are for me. My friend INSISTED I read this series, she practically threw these books at me. I stopped reading in the later part because NOWHERE do I get the impression the pack loves Talia as much as they love Jasper. They treat her like sh*t and still cares more about Jasper after they get her back. Even the pack that is supposedly only Talia's and love her soooo much since soooo long ago and barely just "got a new chance with her" is already catching feelings for Jasper. Always in these two omega stories the male is always favored and the female is either there as a baby making tool or just insignificant. None of the Alphas can look at her for two f*cking seconds without their eyes/thoughts going back to Jasper. Kaleb couldn't even make the moment he claims/bites her about her, no, he immediately starts talking about Jasper during the act. No, these types of books aren't for me.

Lots of drama, sex and violence. What an Omega should do, if she needs to choose between two packs? She needs to do the obvious naturally 😏 You may mix up the names. Too many Alphas involved.
It's like @AvanneMichaels answered all my prayers and gave me exactly what I wanted!!
This book picks up right from where the previous one ended with Talia away from the pack, feeling alone, uncared for and trying her best to not disrupt Jasper's life with his pack. The feelings were all high and I had tears in my eyes, god, I wanted to kill Devon hundred times over and shake some sense into the others. Thankfully, things happened and stuff started progressing for the good.
The best happened though in chapter 11 and omg yayayay my love got what he wanted (C was mine since the first time I met him at the truth & dare game and I've been in love ever since, love at first sight istg♡).
I never ever expected the story to take such a turn & for me it was an amazing surprise because I got what I wanted *smirk smirk*. Jasper has a connection with Talia and they might be mates even though it's not possible (or almost) but her connection with the other alphas of Devon's pack weren't much given importance in the previous book. Here now, we see somewhat of a connection forming with them and I'm honestly quite shocked that Kaleb hasn't taken the lead. With the others joining (C+2 more), the love angles have just gotten better and better!
In the beginning of the book i was sad and angry but throughout the story my emotions have varied but have ended with happiness and giddiness towards the end. The fight was so interesting to see since Jasper also gets into the scene and the whole theme of Omegas are not weak are shown more deeply in those few chapters.
Overall, the storyline in this book had more surprises and emotions and the ending though is a cliffhanger, you may imagine it as a HFN ending as well.
Desperately waiting for book 3 with the possibility of Talia being pregnant!!
oof this was rough. I loved book one but this one went totally off the rails. The characters and established interpersonal dynamics from the first book were basically tossed out. The introduction of Corso's pack was a confusing and unnecessary mess, and the bad guys' motivations and actions made zero sense (if they always knew she was an omega why did they let her go????) Corso and his pack were a ridiculous addition because she hadn't really built relationships with the guys from the first pack (just baby steps towards being ok together). I don't love this term but the way everyone suddenly fawned over Talia felt a little Mary Sue-ish. I finished the first book in one night because it was so good but I almost DNF-ed this one multiple times
I should wait to review this book…so many emotions, most of them negative. This second book could have saved the first EXCEPT the author chooses to have the heroine take on responsibility for her awful treatment by Jaspers pack, and Jasper himself, thereby excusing their behavior.
The new pack introduced in this book could have also saved it but they weren’t used to their full potential, but they and they alone kept me reading. We again meet Corso Zaphir and learn that his pack is madly in love with Talia. When Corso bites her during her heat they decide to join packs. I loved the idea, but I would have loved it more if they’d kept separate alphas.
Unfortunately Jasper Jasper Jasper is everywhere and by the end both Reid and Alex from Talias new pack are with Jasper. Alex I wouldn’t have minded bc he has a history of being bisexual, but Reid felt forced. Much of this book felt forced. Thank god for Corso who is ONLY interested in Talia sexually, but shares with Jasper. The real MVP is Alex as he’s the only one who calls out Jaspers pack for their shitty treatment of Talia, but it wasn’t enough. We do get some apologies from Trent and Kaleb, I felt ok with Nathan and Trent by the end but Kaleb felt forced.
Here’s what got me really upset:
1. Devon gets seriously injured. Talia goes from not really speaking to him to doting on him, calls him alpha when he hasn’t earned it, it’s a complete sudden flip and makes no sense. He gets an ambulance while Talia was driven to the hospital. Tallia‘s mother stays with him in the hospital and put guards on him! He has everybody visit him in the hospital. Yet Tallia was alone not even Jasper visited her. The author tries to brush off the pack’s neglect by having her say it was what she wanted, but it wasn’t what she wanted. She was literally dying wasting away until her mother called the pack. The author is continually trying to excuse the packs previous bad behavior by saying it was Tallia‘s idea.
When he gets home there’s pages and pages about his recovery 🤷♀️. I could have cared less, we got nothing about Talias recovery from a gang rape.
This obvious double standard left me furious.
2. Jasper continues to be a selfish narcissist all the way to the end of the book. He never once cares for Tallia, except for maybe to bring her a blanket. She cries several times and does he comfort her? No, he goes to laugh and sleep with his alphas. He continues to try to defend his alphas previous behavior. Behavior that he let happen and nobody ever called him out on, but he LET her get treated so poorly. He doesn’t deserve her and I really question if he actually loves her, it’s such a one sided relationship.
3. So many of the plot and relationships were contrived or forced. No “elite” team gets beat this many times. It makes them seem pretty weak actually, not even having effective security.
4. So many inconsistencies between books and in this book. I won’t detail them here but I have Notes and highlights that do.
Unfortunately this series annoyed me more than provided enjoyment. I actually like the authors writing style, intimate scenes, banter between characters- the substance though was sorely lacking. You can’t just tell me that Talia suddenly accepts Devon as her alpha without showing the progression between characters to get there. Corso is introduced as an amazing love interest but barely gets page time.

This one was baaaad. I DNF'd at 56% and I wanted to do it long before but I was hoping the new pack would finally put her first and set things right. Weelll lets start with the biggest problems... Why the F*** would you use r@pe as a shocking point and thinking daaamn this is awful only for NO ONE to freaking care. Like the 2 that ran after Talia freaking just lift there shoulders when they can't rescue her and then goes to Jasper and stays dayyys just fu**ing cuz its he's heath and he needs them. All 4 of the alphas just forgets her and keeps Jasper happy, they don't even send a team to try to help her. Then they only get out of room and "cares" about her when she is thrown on their door brutaly messed up. Jasper that is suppose to be her TRUE MATE doent even freaking care, he stays in the room and gets taken care of without checking on her.. then they take her to the hospital aaaaand leaves her there... Like what? She gave her life for Jasper and none of them cares to go to her in the hospital until her mom call's jasper telling him off because she is a Omega and that means so much more then a beta. Like that is when they suddenly care to go to her, because she is an omega? Nooo just nooo. AND THEN she just forgives them all and says the r@pe doesnt mean anything to her at all and she just gets back to having s*x like crazy cuz she is an omega now.. no one talks or cares about her or what she did for them. Not even herself..... then we get another pack in that is suppose to only love her and oooh so much, but they also fall for Jasper after 2 sek ???? Yeah I just can't with any of this..

I loved the first book, absolutely loved it. This book was fine, but given how good the first book was, I’m kind of… disappointed and infuriated too.
First, the alphas just torture the crap out of her, and I was fully expecting accountability. They never make up for it. They just act mildly contrite and everyone forgives them, including Talia. She makes excuse after excuse and I’m like… this is the “tough as nails” woman who’s supposed to be a battle pixie? But then she forgives even the worst behavior and just blows it off. What?? There’s self-sacrifice, but this was over the top. She absolutely sets herself on fire to keep everyone else warm and there’s not even one real apology to her face.
And then when they are reamed out, it’s off-page and we hear about it later. It’s never satisfying.
Also, there was no buildup at all to the others who come to save the day. There was one scene in the first book and then that was it? There was so much untapped potential to this relationship and it felt shoehorned.
However, I think I would have just rolled my eyes and kept going if I hadn’t gotten sucked into this series. I still highly recommend, but just adjust your expectations for Justice in this one.
I absolutely loved the first book, but this one was so difficult to get through.
There were so many times I wanted to DNF out of sheer frustration for the way Talia is treated.
POTENTIAL SPOILERS!!!
Talia wakes up alone in the hospital after her brutal attack from the rogues. Not only are jasper or his alphas not there but her family isn’t even there. And it’s not because they don’t what happened to her because the nurse calls her dad AND mom at one point and still they don’t rush over.
The ONLY reason jasper and his pack finally show up is because they find out she’s an omega, as if that’s the only reason she deserves a visit.
This pack does not deserve her, not even Jasper. He doesn’t do half as much as Talia does. And for some reason when Devon is on the hospital her mother is there with bells on to take care of him.
The only reason I’m giving this two stars is because I like Corso and his pack and their need to take care of Talia the way she deserves.
The Beta: Part Two is an excellent follow-up to Part One. After the cliffhanger ending of Part One, we are thrown straight into angst and heartbreak. And it is the delicious sort of pain that hurts so good. I devoured this book over the course of a day and have had a huge book hangover since.
Talia has discovered she is an omega, which means she can no longer be with Jasper, her mate. Devon has made it clear that she is not wanted so she intends to recover from her attack alone and then continue on as a packless omega. Even when things start to settle for Talia, there remains the threat to all high ranking omegas she must contend with – all while learning that she is unable to operate as the beta she’s always believed herself to be.
Like Part One, there are dark elements in this book, so visit the author’s website for CW and TW if necessary.
I could write a thesis on how much I despise everything about this series so far. I should’ve DNF’d book one, and I should’ve DNF’d this book before I did (60%). The dynamics between pack members is a delicate thing, especially when there is both a male and female omega in the pack, and the dynamics were one of the most disappointing aspects of this series.
I expected the entirety of this book to be groveling by the mmcs for how terribly they treated Talia in book one (mainly Devon, although Trent, Nathan and Kaleb allowed it). There was not a single ounce of groveling, not a single acknowledgment of the sacrifice Talia made for Jasper, and certainly no fucking gratitude. Her trauma was completely glossed over. Not a single member of the original pack deserved to breathe the same air as Talia. Corso was starting to win me over, but even that was not enough to make me push through and finish this book.
Allowing Talia to wake up in the hospital alone, after suffering torture and trauma meant for Jasper, so that he could be spared from that, was absolutely unacceptable and unforgivable. They didn’t go after her, they didn’t even spare her a second thought once they knew she was taken. Jasper is supposed to be her true mate, and if that was the case, he should’ve been banging down the door to her hospital room the second he was able. He should’ve been throttling his pack mates for treating her the way they did, he should’ve shown an OUNCE of the love and care that Talia showed him.
I was also disappointed in Talia. I liked her enough in book one to continue the series, and I can appreciate that she is trained and can handle her own. Her inner monologue while in the hospital of being more upset about the fact that she was an omega, let’s face it - in this world it was biologically impossible for her to be a beta and while I understood she spent her entire adult life adjusting and accepting being a beta, that should have in no way outweighed the trauma she experienced at the hands of the rogues. It was pointed out in book one that she was taught to never submit to alphas who were not worth her respect, only to turn around and basically accept Jasper’s alphas even though they indeed did NOT deserve her respect at that point in time. She should’ve had a backbone and made them grovel on their knees for her forgiveness, or at the very least kept her distance until they could form genuine relationships between them, and to that point, Jasper should’ve demanded the same on behalf of his “true mate” Talia. Along with groveling, Trent, Nathan, Kaleb and Devon should have been on their fucking knees kissing Talia’s feet in gratitude for sacrificing herself in place of Jasper, and sparing him and in turn them, from the torture and trauma that he would’ve been put through, had she not sacrificed herself.
Talia was very obviously second best to Jasper and nothing indicated that that would change, they should have been treated equally. I can respect that she is independent and she can take care of herself, and that she likes to take care of her pack, however, she could have and should have been all of those things as well as cherished, taken care of and loved in the same manner as Jasper, and Jasper should’ve insisted on that as well. Most of the mmcs, Jasper especially, came across to me as so utterly and disappointingly selfish.
This is the longest review I’ve ever written, and I could literally go on forever about how everything about this series makes me upset and angry.
In the first book I couldn’t feel any love, I thought that was ok bc the pack but Jasper didn’t want her. But I couldn’t feel Jaspers love anyway. I thought that would happen later, but nope
The whole hospital scenario. Nobody visited her bc she wanted that? Right, if anyone who loved you (like family) wouldn’t sit outside to wait for you to change your mind. Nobody came!!! Not even her family. Idk, that was bs.
I love Corso, Alex and Reid. Here I can fell their love for her. Finally! The other pack? Yeah not a big fan.
Oh and don’t hate me but calling Jasper „princess“ was a huge turn down for me. So feminine. Don’t get me wrong, I love when a guy calling his boyfriend/ lover/ etc. princess. Its so cute. ❤️ But a woman calling her man princess? Yeah that was like cutting of his balls. Sorry
And I never thought I would say that, but I was exhausted from the whole fuck fest. Too many man, too many POV and no real intimacy.
And despite that, the story was straight forward and I have to read the last one. So eventually 3 ⭐️
So overall I am bit disappointed, thought this could be a new favorite
DNF at 67%, the first book was so good, but the 2nd is boring and disjointed. The author didn’t develop the new relationships featured in this book, so you’re forced to accept things that go against the FMC’s character in the first book. Disappointing 😣
I’ve never anticipated a release of a book as much as I have this one. So much so that I did something that I’ve never done and that is put one book down while reading it, to start this one as soon as I got it. Avanne did not disappoint either! This book is seriously hot. I’m talking this book will scorch your eyebrows off just reading it. If you haven’t read part 1 BEFORE you read this book, go back and do it. These 2 and then part 3 are all combined. I have never been a fan of having books spread out over 2 or 3 parts BUT Avanne Michaels has the release dates so close that it doesn’t seem like you are waiting forever. Doesn’t mean I’m not dying to get the next part because believe me I am! We have the same pack as part 1 and Talia is just as bada$$ as she was in part 1. But we also see a great new side to Jasper that fans will love! No spoilers on that either! Not only do we have the same pack but we’re reintroduced to another pack that we see all through part 2. Avanne showcases all of the characters in this part better than part 1. The details in some of the scenes is unreal. You will be blown away with them. I can see big growth changes in her writing just in these 2 parts. So that really makes me excited for part 3. I gave a lot of details of the book in my first review for book one but for this one I wanted to showcase the author. She is amazing for just really getting started. I will read whatever she writes without even reading the blurb first. That’s how much I love her writing. I’m hanging on by my thumbnail waiting for part 3, I’m so excited! Don’t miss out on the hottest omegaverse book that there is! Did I mention that it’s 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I can't begin to tell you how much I love this series. I am in awe of Talia, her strength, her selflessness, her inner beauty, she and Jasper are magnificent. This is a traumatic book, truly terrible things happen to Talia and to the guys, and I do have to say that I am surprised that Talia doesn't seem to be as affected by it as she possibly could be??? Having said that, this is just the most amazing book, amazing story, amazing characters. I still want see Devon and the boys do some serious crawling and make-up work for everything, in my humble opinion Talia has forgiven too easily. Maybe we can see some of this in book 3? Any which way, I literally can't wait for book 3 to come out. Avanne, congratulations on an absolute triumph of a book series!
Book one was definitely a rollercoaster of emotions. Devon made me SO very mad in the first book.
This book though, book 2, was definitely a doozy, with unexpected twists. Devon also seems like he is on the path to redemption. I love the new main characters that came in to play in this one and I am so glad that things fell the way they did. This book was everything I wanted and more. I love how everything is setting up for a happy ending. Jasper and Talia together just make my heart melt. This book will make you laugh and cry. Can’t wait for book 3!
Okay, first of all... make sure to wear light clothes when reading this because boy oh boy is it HOT!!! Also, wear some padding because the twists and turns will have you crashing all over the place. I refuse to give specifics because this book needs to be read without spoilers. The steam is definetly spicy smut. As always check your trigger warnings. This is part 2 and cannot be read alone. If you loved part 1, you will be obsessed with part 2!! I know I am!! 10/10 Will Always Recommend
This book had me crying at the beginning with emotional overload! But that just made everything that came after so much sweeter!
I love Talia and Jasper’s dynamic and seeing Jasper being more dominant in there relationship ~(while help her come to terms with her new self)~ Then we’re getting to see the progression in her relationship with the other guys. I do wish there was more of a separation with the personalities of the guys but otherwise I can’t wait to see how there story progresses!
Oh my goodness! When a book ends on a cliffhanger - I spend a lot of time dreaming of the next book and what I hope occurs in that story. This part 2 blew my dreams out of the water. I cannot wait for Part 3.
This series delivers everything -- all the storyline, steam, and character development you could hope for plus enough twists and turns to keep you gasping with joy. And all the feelings! Be prepared I cried through the first few chapters with sadness and the last few with joy. This is everything and the kitchen sink.
Book 2 was as great as the first! The love between Jasper and Talia is so sweet & they are the glue to their future. It’s full of drama and angst & revenge. You even learn to have sympathy & hope for Seth! I can’t wait for Book 3,4,5,6. This author has built a world and characters you don’t want the stories to end !!!
This book is a fantastic follow up. Don’t get me wrong I though I might have been able to predict what was coming but after speaking with the author. She confused me when she told me that Talia was picking her mates in this book. Now don’t get me wrong this definitely came with its surprises. But like the first it has it’s triggers but is totally worth it!
Another fantastic installment in this amazing series!! We get to see the pack and Talia come back together. Some new faces from Talia’s past get added into the mix, and we get to see the Omega assassins in action. I love this series so much and I can’t wait for the next one!
2.5 stars. Talia is too much of a martyr for me. It was really annoying. I also didn't like how the alphas were total marshmallows for all things Jasper/Talia. I think Corso and Reid are my favorites. This series went in a direction I wasn't expecting, with the merging of the packs. I'm not sure how I feel about that. Also, I still think Devon is a pos.
I loved this book! It made me cry it made me laugh it made me cry some more. The story is so compelling and the sex scenes are wonderfully spicy. If your into sword crossing this series is definitely for you!
Loved it! This one is definitely a little less heavy than the first book, which I enjoyed. I really loved the addition of some new characters that I was really not expecting. Really enjoying this series and can't wait for the next one!
I am crossing every finger I have that book 3 will be out soon!! Could barely wait for this release! Book 1 was soooo good, if you haven’t, go back and read it!! You can thank me later. This 2nd does not disappoint. Just as good as the 1st.
The Beta parts 1&2 are everything I want in a good story-heat, knots, angst, kick booty characters and an amazing story line. I do hope we see more stories in this universe.
