I appreciated that there were frequently specific examples of how to apply the techniques that Freeman Freeman championed. The authors made it extremely clear that they were in favor of acquisition methods over learning methods. Sometimes it felt as if it was less of a guide to students and more of a platform to denounce learning methods. While I agree with them that acquisition methods are better for teaching a second language, I also see that there can be value in some portions of learning methods. I think it would have been helpful if the authors spent some time acknowledging that, analyzing what those helpful portions were, and giving specific advice about how to incorporate those portions into an acquisition oriented classroom.

the quality of the kindle version is awful

I have no idea about the content just because this kindle edition is unreadable. It is basically a scanned book of very (I mean VERY) low quality.
