”Remember, you’re each playing a role. Commit to it. Stick to the plan. And don’t die. If we lose even one of you, this whole thing is going to fall apart.”
In issue 25, Sana Starros and her team finally launch their mission capture the Spark Eternal that has captured Doctor Aphra. While they are doing their best to get the chaotic archeologist they all love/hate, Aphra is trying to find a way to rid herself of the Spark's power.
This series continues to be a blast. I loved seeing Sana's team of people who all have some kind of connection to Aphra - for some it's a happier connection than it is to others - work together to save Aphra. I love stories about unlikely allies and teams, so naturally this arc has been a delight. I'm also super intrigued by Miril, the Spark's creator, and her interactions with Aphra within the Spark.
This issue also had some cool hints as to what could happen in the Hidden Empires comic, the third comic series in Charles Soule's Qi'ra trilogy, and I cannot wait to see how this story will tie into that.
I don't have anything super profound to say about this issue, other than that I really enjoyed it! Alyssa Wong and all the artists contributing to this series continue to be awesome!
More spinning wheels without much progression and more setting up of the big Crimson Dawn arc… I want this series to mean something and not be a prologue.
