Super cute book. Loved the ending and educational value for wilderness survival and basic safety tips. Enjoyed the parent/child format, but wish I'd had this book a year or two ago when my daughter was still mastering reading.

Alternates reading sections of larger font for child to read and smaller print sections for an older sibling, parent, etc. As a whole it was a pretty interesting story. I liked that it featured homeschooling, falcons, animal rescue/rehabilitation, and present parents.

A widower and his own daughter move in next door to a large homeschooling family and learn how to rehabilitate animals and the value of a home education. It is a great "living book" full of animal and survival facts. Parts for parent and child to read together.

This was a cute read along book I got to read with Henry. I loved listening to him become a stronger and more confident reader as we worked our way through this story.

Great book for our lessons and remembering to work together and grow. Plot wasn’t as developed as some other books for our lessons but still sweet and fun.

A 5 year old's review: Five stars. I loved everything. The ending was my favorite.

He rates everything 5 stars but this one was really wonderful, and perfect for homeschool families.

I read this with my daughter for homeschool. I really like the way it's divided so that she has a section to read and I have a section to read. It makes reading aloud together easy and enjoyable.
We both enjoyed the story and learning more about falcons and wilderness survival and safety.
