Renting a house in Whitby, John and Kyra are stuck there when the country goes into lockdown. A virus that has reached pandemic status is sweeping across the world and the two friends find themselves observers to the end of the world when the infected people who die, come back as zombies.
Preparing as best they can, they find themselves face to face with horrors they could never imagine and life or death decisions as they do what they can to survive. A task that becomes harder as they suffer mentally and emotionally as the world collapses around them.
The story was good enough as was the writing but I found John to be such an annoying and boring character that it really got in the way of me being able to enjoy the story.
John and Kyra are two very awesome characters and I would get so into this book I'd keep telling myself just a few more pages. Even tho the clock was ticking and I was pushing it getting to work. Then all of a sudden I look and I have one minute to get to work. Lol this book is so good and real. John may be bipolar tho....
Not only were there misspelled words all over the book, but some level of violence and incidents that were descr ibed were way over the line. REALLY! KILLING A KID FOR ABSOLUTELY NO REASON. Who even thinks that crap up to write about. I love a good zombie book, but yours had ridiculous scenarios.
This book was an enjoyable read. The characters are a bit different than I usually read about but were interesting. The only negative I can say was that some of the writing was repetitive.
I have really enjoyed reading this. Too many British terms so I don't understand some of the words being used. This Book was definitely a page turner. The cover photo is terrible.
Full disclosure, zombies for whatever reason, are the one thing in horror that actually scares me. This book had me freaked out for a full 48 hours lol. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever read but I definitely kept me tense.
