Decent enough first issue. One of the kids from Strange Academy has a vision or dream. Or so she thought. Turns out, everyone at the school saw it. Even some people not at the school saw it. What was seen in the dream ties back to the opening page of the book. Could end up being pretty cool in the end.
I never read the original run of this but that didn't pose any problems as I already knew most of the characters from Strange Academy. The art is good and they're setting up a pretty cool story here. They've got me in for this one. Kind of a shame that they're only giving this five issues.
Story is a bit quick. The ending is goofy magic stuff. But the visuals are great and the foundation is set for an interesting group coming together. There also are some great moments with Nico. Spirit Rider was really solid as well.
I'm so happy to see Zoe and Dessy again! But I'm not sure when this takes place, since Dessy is back to normal but Iric is alive? Is this before Strange Academy: Finals?
