Wonderful description of the effect of war and flood events in Florence in 1944 and 1966. The second half, concerning the catastrophic flood, was written by our tour guide and brought back many beautiful memories of our trip to Florence. A souvenir for sure, but also a lesson on the value of art, which may be the most enduring creations of humanity.
