While her friends were examining new wrinkles during their mid-life crisis, Suzie ignored hers and went to the police academy.
The small town police department had no idea what they were getting into when they hired Suzie and sent her to the police academy. She had aced the written test, excelled at the psychological, and finished the physical course with seconds to spare. There was no way to keep her from going but no one thought she had a chance to finish the eighteen weeks and survive the grueling requirements.
They thought wrong!
Follow Suzie as she navigates a new world and proves grit and determination are unequalled when it comes to fulfilling a dream. This is a fictionalized, humorous rendition of the crazy truth.

I thought this was a fictional cozy when I picked it up. I kept thinking how well written and realistic it was. Finding out this was real just made it better. Suzie's grit and determination was awe inspiring. My hat's off to her and her classmates.
It changed how I view policemen. I found greater compassion for their mistakes and foibles. I have compassion for their daily stress and that of their families. Best of allbthis book is well written taking the reader through training scenarios keeping interest and excitement Alive. Well done
I thought this was a very good read. Suzie brought you right into the classroom. You could feel the friendship build between the cadets as each week we go through the academy with her. Your heart goes out to her and her fellow cadets. I look forward to following her writings and adventures.
I loved this book, Suzie has such strength, tenacity, spirit, resilience and determination is amazing and inspiring. I screamed, laughed, cheered and cried for all the cadets and their success! I would highly recommend this book. Happy Reading!!!!!
I received a free download from a writer friend of yours - Quinn Avery! I had trouble putting it down - kept wanting you to keep fighting against the odds! I enjoyed it and look forward to reading more of your books!
If you want to know the unvarnished truth about police recruit training, this book is for you. The good, bad and ugly are included without the over the top dramatics of some recounts. I highly recommend it.
First time reading this author. Story was very detailed and fast pace. Main characters are likable and you really want them to succeed. Yikes though....what a lot to go through. Looking forward to seeing where this character goes from here.
Great read to get to know the beginnings of the making of an officer. The rigorous training and mental discipline it takes. Sad to have a comrade fall.Look forward to getting into the adventures of Officer Ivy.
I loved finding out what it was like at the police academy. I wanted know how a short Suzie was treated because I was curious how they would have treated a tall woman. My neighbors 6’3” granddaughter went thru something similar to be a highway patrol woman. I am in awe of your story and I share when ever I can work it into a conversation!
