I knew that living in the city as an artist would mean getting on the struggle bus. No one just arrives in town, bumps into someone who could make their career, and then finds fame and fortune. Only, for a while, I thought that was exactly what happened. Julian was rich, huge in the art world, and he wanted to open doors for me. Not only that, but he wanted to take care of me, moving me into his penthouse. I was already in too deep when I saw him for what he was, a human who had a thing for young omegas, tossing them aside once they hit the ripe old age of twenty five—or less.
I can’t be with someone like him another minute, but my options are limited. Perhaps the Male-Order Mates app will help me find a true mate—as far away from Julian and his ugliness as possible. Even if they aren’t my fated, it will be someone who truly wants a real relationship.
Stefano
My brother means well. I know he does. He sees me as a talented chef who’s too shy for his own good. And maybe I am, but he’s gone too far with this one. Signing me up for a Male-Order mate without letting me know is unacceptable. I have no choice but to buy the omega a train ticket back. It isn’t fair not to.
But then he bounds off the train, excitement and joy flowing from him, making the town a better place just by his presence, and I find myself sliding the ticket back into my pocket. Maybe my brother was right after all. Maybe I should give this sunshine-filled artist a chance. My bear sure seems to think so.

Lorelei M. Hart is the cowriting team of USA Today Bestselling Authors Kate Richards and Ever Coming. Friends for years, the duo decided to come together and write one of their favorite guilty pleasures: Mpreg.
Short of the bread, I don't think Lorelei had any new idea of what to do with this one. Same plot points as the past books, no extra scenes to make it special for Pilan and Stefano. It was just the plot points, for the most part. Overall mid.
Seventh book in this series. Very little realistic chemistry between Stefano and Pilan other than the mating compulsion. They use the app, they're matched, Pilan moves across the country to where Stefano lives, they meet - hey, insta-love. Sex leads to pregnancy leads to baby. Other than the two being fated mates, I didn't buy the relationship. YMMV.
And even though these are formulaic AF, I'll probably read the next one too.
Pilan arrived in town to make a living as an artist and fell for a rich man's promises before he saw him for what he was - a human who had a thing for young omegas, tossing them aside once they hit the ripe old age of twenty-five or less. With limited options, he hopes that the Male-Order Mates app will help him find a true mate as far away from the ugliness as possible. Stefano's brother signed him up for a Male-Order mate without letting him know. He has no choice but to buy the omega a train ticket back. It isn’t fair not to. But then he bounds off the train, excitement and joy flowing from him, making the town a better place just by his presence, and he finds himself sliding the ticket back into his pocket. Maybe his brother was right after all. His bear sure seems to think so.
This was a sweet story of how Shy chef Stefano and artist Pilan were matched by the mail order mates app. I loved that he cooked to relieve stress and that Pilan was such a cute animal shifter. A little indecision but easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse with MPREG.
Number seven in the series and I have waited for this one. The two bar owners of grizzlies bar, Steffano, and Giorgio. This is Stefanos journey to find a mate, only it was his brother that set it up for him. Stefano stayed mainly in the back cooking things that nobody ever dreamed they could get in a bar setting. Of course he’s a chef from the city and that helps. But his brother felt he needed more. Pilan needed out of the city, his artwork was suffering, he couldn’t take it anymore, living where he was. And his future was down. Nothing, he was being used by an older man who needed arm candy. Time to move on. Leaving almost everything behind he jumped on a train, and was about to meet his mate, all set up by an app. With this even gonna work? As much as Stefano felt this was a mistake the minute he laid his eyes on Pilon. He knew his future with that. Another really good love story with an amazing setting, and a little surprise at the end.
Sweetest return when you don't know what you have been missing. Giorgio, owner of The Grizzly which is a haven for paranormal in the area decided to help his brother, Stefano out and submitted an application for male-order mates. Stefano is a classed chef, whose found his place in ~. He prefers to stay behind the swing door in the kitchen working his magic and leaving the customers. to Giorgio. He is relatively content with his life and ignores the occasional hint of lonliness. Pilan, omega squirrel shifter finds himself in a questionable situation and needs an out. He follows a suggestion and submits an application to male-order mates which leads him to Stefano. Delightful story of them getting acquainted while Pilan gets to know his new town and new neighbors. Good flow, excellent characters, very sweet main characters. Well done!
So I am constantly surprised at my new-found love of shift romance stories. I want to say novels but sub-100 to sub-200 pages, depending on the title, I don't consider a novel or book. They are GREAT stories though and I'm very happy to have found them.
Simple, formulaic, romances w/ cute characters, a continuity of community, and celebrations of love. What's not to come back for? Each book in the series is like a new episode of your favorite tv show. I didn't read them in order and I don't feel like it harmed the stories at all, so grab whichever one comes to you first and plow through them.
I love this series! There is lots of overlapping of stories. Sidney & Crios's for one. But this one belongs to grizzly chef extraordinaire Stefano, and his Male-Order Mate, artist and squirrel Pilan. An unusual welcome basket starts things off just right. This is a sweet, joyous, fast-paced romp. A pregnancy and an adorable baby mean HEA is assured. I guarantee you will love this book! You also need to read the previous books... time... well... spent. Enjoy!
It was a very sweet romance. Although it felt like most of the story was just them getting together. Then it went quicker, having them both realize that they are not going to leave each other. And the omega getting pregnant. There is not drama just the internal conflict that we all have in our heads. But it is definitely worth reading (the whole series is). And if you’re looking for a sweet conflict, free romance, this is a book for you if you’re looking for something with drama conflict and possible bloodshed, this may not be the one for you.
These books are sort of like afternoon tea - a lovely break between heavier times. I love the stories and this was really a good romance between the chef at the bar/restaurant and the artist Pilan who was mentioned in the previous book. Stefano hadn’t even admitted he wanted a mate, and Pilan hadn’t thought much of it either, but circumstances forced them together and they didn’t really put up a fight! There are cameos from other characters, food, and a sweet HEA.
Take a grizzly bear chef that longs for a mated but believes he will never have one. An artist squirrel who thinks he his with a loving man. One brother bear who pushes and a friend who suggests going on a dating app. It all equals a mated couple! A happy short story. This is book number 7 in the Mail-Order Mates series. You could probably read alone but recommend you read from the start because of overlapping characters.
Such a sweet, romantic story. I have never read of a relationship between a grizzly and a squirrel, but I loved it. My favorite was when Palin, the squirrel gave Stefano, the bear, a severe chittering when while they were out in their fur, he slowed down thinking that the squirrel could not keep up with him. Loved the ending. Recommend reading.
Well written story and well developed characters! Stefano had moved with his brother to open their own place. He loved being able to cook what he wanted to. But he was getting to good at just staying in the kitchen and avoiding the people. So his brother decided to sign Stefano up for Male-Order Mates without telling him!
. . . É uma leitura F(. . .), desculpe pela palavra, eu amei 🖤. . . Descobrir a verdade nem sempre é bom, mas tem momentos que é isso que faz sua vida mudar para melhor, para garantir o amor verdadeiro, nada importa. Amei . . . Boa Leitura 😘
I adored this love story between a a squirrel and his bear. The characters are sweet and fun. The story is low angst and fun. Exactly what I love with this series! This one might be my favorite so far.
I can’t express how much I love this series. I love each character and how connected they have become to each other and how their lives are interwoven together and how they each found happiness for each other.
What do you do when your brother signs you up for Male Order Mates? You over bake and pack a bread basket when you pick up your mate at the train station. Another great story of fated mates, love at first sight, babies, love and HEA
Pilan deserved happiness and so did quiet Stephano. They were perfect for each other! Stephano didn't know that food was Plan's love language, so they were perfect right from the start. Good book! Still loving this series!!
Stefano and Pilan were soooo good together! Plus we got to revisit one of our favorites from an earlier book! I enjoyed reading this story and look forward to reading more books in this world.
Stefano's brother sent his application to mail border Mates. He went to the train station and picked up Pilan. They are a perfect match in this romantic read.
A Surprise Indeed! Not all surprises are good, but some can be really awesome! Enjoy the artist Pilan and chef Stefano’s growing trust, enjoyment of each other and passion!!!
