The Daddy from Hell just woke up.
It’s time to meet Maddox’s maker.

An ancient evil has woken.
A beast with no concept of human morality, risen to destroy and devour until his evil appetites are sated.
He lays very particular claim to the one modern people call Maddox.
Maker. Lover. Owner. Guardian. Captor.
Gideon has been all of these things at one time or another.

After centuries of sleep he wakes to find his Maddox playing with humans.
It was a habit he used to tolerate, but now he discovers Maddox has taken a mate. A rough criminal with wolf blood. A murderous, rude, ephemeral creature barely deserving of the name beast, or boy, as Maddox calls him.
It is all completely unacceptable.
When Maddox refuses to discard his boy, he leaves Gideon with no choice.
To restore proper order and dignity to his bloodline, Gideon must do one
Kill. Will.
(And anybody else who gets in the way.)

I can't wait for more!

Loki Renard's imagination is out of this world.
This saga continues with Maddox and Will's friends being swept up in the caos of Maddox maker.
It makes me wonder who else we can expect to make appearances from her earlier books?
Alas we must wait to find out.

somehow equal parts unexpected and inevitable… brilliant!

I had been anxiously anticipating this book since I first heard about it and it definitely didn’t disappoint. I had no idea how things would turn out, but it surprised me in every way and exceeded my exceedingly high expectations for the incomparable Loki Renard. Brilliant, well written, utterly captivating, and refreshing in every way. I fall a bit more in love with this series with each book. Things are going as well as can be with Maddox and Will, and Henry and Lorien, when Maddox’s maker Gideon awakens to find the world unlike he left it and far beneath his expectations. Humankind and vampirekind have lost their way and it’s up to him to restore order, starting with his wayward progeny. But neither Maddox nor Will are quick to roll over and accept their places at the feet of the ultimate predator. So begins an epic battle of wills. The end of this book is not the end of this story (thankfully). I’m back to counting days until the next book is released. Phenomenal, as expected.

Yes, everything goes to shit in this book. But what i found most annoying were all the unlikely and out-of-character events leading up to it. Almost DNF many times because the plot was just too unbelievable and/or ridiculous. The previous books had some interesting moments, but when you're rolling your eyes almost every time something new happens, it's time to move on. Won't be continuing this series.

Uh oh, Maddox is not going to be too happy about what happened. In the last book, Maddox and Will took a vacation. But disaster has happened and even worse, his maker is back. Gideon is a force beyond any. But you wonder if he really? Maddox may seem the “youngling” to Gideon but is Maddox able to overtake him? Lorien and Henry take Will to protect him. But Will is no puppy. He is a fighter. This is almost a war waiting to happen. There are so many players in the story, you have to make sure you have read the first to know everyone. This doesn’t end on a happy note. Yes, there is a cliffhanger but at the same time my heart broke. I wasn’t expecting what happened. Please tell me they will find a way to fix all this. Gideon didn’t start the rift. You knew it was going to come. I am hoping that those that are gone aren’t. I do want Gideon gone though. He is annoying and evil. Come on “Orphan” and give us a happy ending for a couples. This book did move along fast like a roller coaster going up hill then, BANG the journey begins with a lot of turns.

So I enjoyed the other books but this one felt really rushed and because of that the reason for the characters actions don't make sense.
From the beginning as to why Maddox would leave his 'son' in charge when he still saw him as immature. For someone so careful it seems out of place.
Instead of giving some insight into what was going on and what the characters were thinking there was a time skip when they were holed up in their house. There was no explanation as to why they could order food but why they couldn't get any information on those who were supposed to be family. Why didn't the mom call? She must have had a way to contact Maddox and he could have warned her not to invite strangers in and so she could have stayed alive.
Why did they just sit around doing nothing instead of planning, like give a reason why. I don't understand why Maddox would turn Wills brother, was it guilt for lying?
The ending was the most rushed thing, why did will give up so fast when he was dead set on fighting.

The whole book felt out-of-character to me.

How Hard Can It Be

How hard can it be to kill one vampire? Well I suppose it takes a lot, if he can be killed. So many events lead up to Will being taken by Gideon. Gideon is a master manipulator as well as being a maker. But while reading this book, it clearly shows how much of a narcissist Gideon really is. We think Ivan is bad in the second book but he has nothing on Gideon. But can Maddox and Will still have a chance of happiness or will they both lose by having a lot more to learn about each other. All the secret and lies have finally cost them their lives and their relationship. Along with their dignity and family. I guess we will see what happens in the next book. It’s a 5 star ⭐️ rating. 💜

FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC Again 😁

OMG, this story has everything that you could ever feel in life, hate, love, jealousy, betrayal, despair, hope, compassion and more defies description 😲. To have the ultimate power to have anything and everything you demand, but in the end, if everyone hates you, what's the point 🤔. Thanks again Loki, I'm thoroughly Loving this story and can't wait to see what happens next 🤓.

This book felt a lot like a space filler. There were a number of times I wanted to just walk away. I do plan on reading the last one because I am hoping the real Maddox and Will return.

w ogóle ta część do mnie nie przemawiała, jakaś bezsensowna, chyba już bym wolała przeczytać jakby Will odszedł żyć z innymi wilkami, ich relacja męczy
