We all have our roles to play. Some are the villains. Some are the good guys. As a siren, I’m supposed to be a seductress. A beacon in the ocean that lures men in. Usually, it works. That is … until a handsome vamp denies the lure.
That’s just one of many problems. The other huge dilemma is I need a jewel. One that will help my city and also keep my powers from consuming me. Oh, but it gets worse. I need the resistant to my charms vamp, to help me locate said jewel. And, without being able to lure him into my snare, I must convince him that he needs me just as much as I need him.
Dimitri, the arrogant yet devastatingly handsome vamp, insists on me helping him before he returns the favor, so now I have to solve his issues before I can solve my own.
Getting my hands on the jewel is turning out to be an adventure that I’m not entirely sure I want to be on. If only I hadn’t made a vow, my life wasn’t at stake, and the vamp didn’t have dimples.
Fun and flirty with a delicious enemies-to-lovers plot and one hot vampire who will give you all the broody vibes. If sirens and paranormal romance make you tingle, you'll want to sink your teeth into this unputdownable book. The fated mates trope is excellently represented here!
I love the interconnecting characters and dynamics with all the gorgeous girl gang texts. You'll also discover found family and finding your place in this standalone romance. With bewitching cities as settings and pulse pounding smexy moments, this will absolutely captivate and thrill you.
Brandi Elledge brings the salt, the snark, and the sensuality in a perfect closed door blend. This is a must-read for those who like their fantasy romance a little tamer.
This is such a great series. I enjoyed this more than the first one. There wasn't as much nonsense chitchat between the 4 girls in text messages. I enjoy their text messages, mostly, but the beginning of the first book was a little too teenage girlish. Their conversations a little too immature.
This book had the least amount of grammatical errors that I noticed.
I was amused the H in the story tries to tell the h that obviously Mary has paired them all up with their fated mates, but he drops the subject quickly. I also like that there are less people who betray our H in this book. It was interesting Cat's story is woven into the first 2.
It appears this author has been heavily influenced by a lot of popular PNR writers. It seems she took several character names from those books. Or at least the shortened versions are the same. I wondered if Cat and Tate (and possibly Knox?) came from the Cat and Bones series by Jeaniene Frost. And Octavia from the Sookie Stackhouse series.
I love the world she has built and the pace of the stories.
This series is a fun fast read with an entertaining found family. No real surprises but fun to follow the couple and see how they realize what’s important. My only complaint with this series is a personal one. My age maybe showing but even if this is YA or NA why must all the the girls be right out of high school 18 and then men be 24-200+? I get they are adults or seen as adults at this age but that’s my complaint. The ladies never really read as 18 they always feel older. That may be their experiences but it is what it is.
This was a super fun read with a super snarky teenage siren who has gone from powerless to powerful! Any kind of relationship between supernatural factions is forbidden after highschool. A group of girl besties decide they will find a way to stick together. One of their schemes winds up getting blessed with amped powers by the local voodoo goddess herself. After a few months of kicking lots of challenging supernaturals butts an old friend comes back to send each of the 4 girls on a mission to find a jewel that will help protect them from the one fatal flaw in their new powers. And maybe snag them a fated mate at the same time. Deirdre sets out after a powerful Vampire who’s help she needs whose past is entangled with the jewel she is searching for. This is their enemies to lovers story. Loved it!
5 stars. I know I said the first book was the best book I read all year, but this one is so good. I will say you need to have read the first one yet I might've loved this one even more. Nevertheless, it was a fantastic book, D is so funny and had great character growth. Vamp was very coy which was very fitting and it was just a very fun read. Low spicy which worked for the story and I would reread for sure. I would recommend this book easily (15+ book).

Funny, sassy, kick ass women that make you want to be a part of their circle. Smokin hot supernaturals- honestly what’s not to love?! Loved reading every minute of this one, as always.
I love a sassy heroine! This was such a good read! My only regret is I didn’t start after all of the books have been written. I’m impatiently waiting for the next one. If you like supernatural powers, romance, drama and a HEA , then you will love this series!
Well it is a bit disappointing that she takes so long to get out of her own way, but it was still a very engaging story. I have laughed out loud so many times through these books, and I just must keep reading!
So well written! I rarely have the attention span to read more than one book in a series, especially if they are long winded etc., but these books keep you wanting to know more and the character building is so enjoyable. I'm on to the next one!!
