There are at least three "different authors writing books with exactly the same name"...Jeff Abugov's version is from 2017, Sarah Lariviere's is from 2021. Both are previously published works that precede this one, so what little "originality" this story could have had, is bogus/ignorance...in 2023...
I feel that the author is writing this story with "dirty hands". Doesn't really consider Time Travel at all, or explain Time Travel at all...and this author in particular "loves to explain and question everything"...most of the time as "filler to his stories"...
The thing is, Time Travel to the past creates "consequences" (Newton's law of action/reaction, sow/reap, dharma/karma, etc.) The popular name for this is the "Butterfly Effect"... The main character of this story is a total idiot, as bad as his Dad (alcoholic, irrational, delusional)... Even the movie series "Back to the Future" treated Time Travel more seriously... This author reduced Time Travel to searching for sexual situations (looking for bootie) in different time lines. The thing is, if the main character "brings the women from the past", everybody they were supposed to have as a family, everybody they had some kind of interaction, banishes (does not happen ever). The chaos and consequences created are impossible to fathom. The author, through the main character doesn't even think about it...Who cares right? It could have been the great-great-grandmother of the author, Bill Gate's ancestor or influenced the creation of company stocks and Wall Street...or could have "influenced in the creation of velcro/spandex/LED technologies...There are no "un-do's"/ "re-do's" or resets in Time Travel...
The main character has no martial arts skills, no above average intelligence and/or knowledge of History, Time Travel Knowledge, etc. so as to be able to "Time Travel" safely... Because, main character is as bad as his Dad (that Grandpa disliked so much) the best that could have happened to this family is that the "magic dice" would get "lost forever". "With great power comes great responsibility", what responsibility has the author or main character assumed with a urban-fantasy-time-travel story like this one? The author and main character have reduced the power of Time Travel to "cruisin' /time traveling for sex"...
It could have been a much better story. The author could have explained the "dice" a whole lot better...The author could have chosen a much better main character, somebody clever, somebody that can find the "be in the right place at the right time" opportunities... This could have been a "great fantasy-time-travel" series...Maybe the author was intellectually constipated on this one... Even Hot Tub Time Machine treated Time Travel better... Jeez... :( Story gets sidetracked from an unlimited potential Time Travel story, to a let's visit the desert and pyramids... Who knows, right?

A New Approach

I’m certain there are a number of ‘time-travel harem’ stories out there, but this is the first I’ve come across. I must say I enjoyed the new perspective a lot. The cliff-hanger at the end was fun as well, and will enjoy seeing how it’s explained and resolved in the next installment. Nicely done, Author Archer! Bravo!

Fun adventure through time

I thought this book was a ton of fun. Just a relaxed jaunt through time and picking up some friends along the way. I hope that it stays like this.

Awesome

Very well done. It kept my attention throughout. A question arose as to why not go visit grandpa in an earlier time to get some answers. I guess we’ll find out soon.
