Dived into it without much thought, and it didn't disappoint me :)
The story and character are pretty complex and the author did a fairly good job with it.

~overall a very underrated BL series!
~I'm not sure who among the two guys is the main lead, but I'm team Taekyung

I’m truly surprised with how well crafted this story was.

Considering that this contained some of my least favorite tropes, I don’t know how I managed to actually enjoy it. Step-brothers. Love-triangle. Miscommunication.

Do I agree with Haesoo’s choice? No. But it was quite obvious and unfortunately, I could understand why.

if this was a book (instead of manhwa) it would be 0 stars but i respect the beautiful art style and character design (visually) so i give it 1

the step siblings thing (even ex step siblings and then almost real step siblings again) is weird and you can NEVER convince me to think its normal.

Ein BL Manhwa mit viel spice 🌶️

Wir haben hier Haesoo ein Autor einer Liebeskolumne. Er selbst hält nicht viel von Emotionen und Beziehungen. Er wechselt oft seine Partner wenn diese ihm zu lästig werden. Was für ihn nichts verwerfliches ist.
Nebenher hat er eine On-Off Affäre mit seinem Stiefbruder dem Schauspieler Joowon.
Haesoo selbst weiß nicht so wirklich was er für eine Art Beziehung zu seinem Stiefbruder hat. Ob er sich Gefühle wie ihn übrig oder einfach nur seinen Spaß mit ihm hat.
Dann lernt er noch den mysteriösen Fotografen „K“ kennen, den er für die Zeitschrift interviewen soll.

Die Thematik Stiefbruder hatte ich im Setting von Boys Love noch nicht. Hier kam es sehr unerwartet schnell zur Sache, sodass klar war das eine Art Beziehung bereits zwischen den Stiefbrüdern herrscht. Im Vordergrund liegt eher wie es dazu gekommen ist und wie diese Beziehung mit der neuen Bekanntschaft „K“ sich weiterentwickeln wird.
Der Art Style hier gefällt mir ganz besonders. Es hat eine weiche sinnliche Note und ist sehr fein gezeichnet worden. Die emotionslosen Gesichtszüge heben das noch besonders hervor. An den Spicy Szenes wurde auch nicht gespart. Für die ein oder anderen wäre die teils zensierten Seiten to much gewesen. Für mich war es eher als würde ich die Szenen lesen mit dem Unterschied, dass es Bilder statt Worte sind.
Was ich auch interessant fand, war die Interview Frequenz zwischen den Kapiteln. Gerne würde ich wissen wer die Protagonistin alle diese Frage stellt. Diese Seiten waren für mich intimer, da oft die wahren Gefühle der Personen durchscheinen.

Für mich war es ein interessantes Band, da man noch nicht genau weiß wo die Story hinführen wird.
Für jeden BL Manga Liebhaber gerne eine Leseempfehlung.

(just gonna rate the whole series here bc i dont feel like bookmarking every volume)
The way this was so good at first and then it crashed and burned in the final third. Two stars off for the Clueless (1995) ass ex-step-brother relationship and another taken off because Haesoo didn't end up with Taekyung. Gorgeous artstyle and juicy drama but 100+ agonizing chapters with zero payoff. I was so drawn in in the beginning because it had such interesting character dynamics and concepts, but then by the end I just got super pissed off. Taekyung (my favorite) was easily the most interesting character--one of the best I've ever read in a manhwa--and then he completely got thrown away at the end and all the focus went to Joowon. At first, I could see Haesoo ending up with either Joowon or Taekyung because he had equal chemistry with both of them. But then Joowon is hardly in it, and for a majority of the story we get fed mostly Taekyung and Haesoo scenes--so obviously I got super attached to them. In the end, they get ruthlessly torn away from us in the last 1o chapters!!! DIABOLICALLLLL. Taekyung just gets his heart horribly broken and we get literally one single scene of him after the random 3 year timeskip. Like I'm sorry, flashbacks with Haesoo and Joowon aren't enough to constitute them randomly realizing their love for each other and for Haesoo to abandon his BOYFRIEND. Like I get that Joowon and Haesoo have always been together and that they were their first loves, BUT DAMNNN MOVE ON. Like girl leave that damn high school relationship in the past! Especially when your relationship is toxic as hell and you used to be STEP-BROTHERS. This is what I get for reading a love triangle knowing damn well manhwa authors always choose the toxic ex for the MC to get with.

Saben hace mucho yo leí este manwhas cuando recién entraba en este mundo, cosa que agradezco porque vaya pedazos de joyas que me he encontrado. Claro que aunque estuve mucho tiempo sin leer ando en busca de nuevas lecturas así que si puedes dejarme una recomendación en los comentarios te lo agradezco muchísimo.

Ahora sí, lo que les interesa. Aquí tenemos la historia de tres chicos, de forma principal la vida de Lee Haesoo; un escritor columnista de romance. Por otro lado tenemos a Choi Joowon (un actor súper famoso y ex hermanastro de Haesoo).

Aquí en el primer tomo del manwhas podemos notar la relación complicada y tensa que existe entre los dos, porque si desde sus diecisiete años ellos han tenido una intimidad que para muchos puede llegar a ser mal vista. Sin embargo, aquí en los primeros capítulos nos presentan a una tercera persona, por lo que pronto tendremos un triángulo amoroso, y es allí donde tocará decidir si seguir en lo pasajero y tóxico o avanzar y conocer alguien nuevo.

Estoy tan emocionada como la primera vez que lo leí, así que se podrán imaginar cuánto deseo continuar leyendo y saber que sucederá.

Fins al capítol 60 la trama em sembla prometedora, amb un triangle amorós que es pot resoldre d'una manera saludable, deixant enrere una relació ambigua, tòxica i manipuladora per obrir la porta a una nova parella, no sabem si amb gaire futur, però sanadora si més no. En el moment en què apareixen els ex del passat amb ganes de venjança visceral, els pares més negligents que mai i la falsa moral del món dels famosos a Corea, la troca s'embolica en excés. A més, ni el comportament del prota ni les decisions que pren m'encaixen i trobo que al final hi ha poca química i amor sincer entre els "germanastres". En resum, el prota em cau fatal i fan mala parella, tot el sant dia barallant-se mig de broma amb una actitud infantilíssima... Em sap greu pel Taku, tot i que crec que li ha sortit bé la jugada per madurar ^^' una mica farteta del redemption arch ehh *Jinx* ejem *Painter of the night* ejem *BJ Alex* i molts d'altres, superem-ho ja!!! Això sí, il·lustracions precioses a color amb un disseny de cobertes que em sembla espectacular ❤️

It was so good, until the end. And when I say until the end I mean the writing was absolutely wonderful, it had great characters a great climax, and 3 dimensional characters, until it didn't. The end having haesoo getting with J instead of getting with T is insane to me when J cause him all these problems, starting with basically coercing him until a relationship while still young, stressing him out, forcing the relationship though it was clear that it wasn't healthy especially when comparing him to T. T actually respected his boundaries, gave him time to think of he loved him, and actually acted professionally in public. It's unfathomable how good the story was from the beginning and middle and how soul crushing the ending was in a bad way. I love bittersweet endings but this was just bitter.

Para empezar odio los triángulos amorosos, me parece inmaduro como una persona ADULTA no sepa lo que quiere y ande con uno o con otro porque no se decide 🥺, para ser sincera ni si quiera me molesté en terminarlo porque ya sabía como terminaba y no quería sufrir más, es que el protagonista es imbécil, se tenía que enamorar del que lo trató como una mierda toda su vida (literalmente toda su vida) y el que lo trata bien ni bola le dió, SE TENÍA QUE QUEDAR CON TAKU. La única razón por la cual tiene 3 estrellas es porque el dibujo es hermoso, sino tendría 0 🤭
