His family pressured him to go on a stupid love match game show. He didn’t intend to win.
Dexton My family said it was time for me to produce an heir, but I refused to marry for convenience because everyone said when you saw your mate, it would slap you in the face. My species bonds once for life, and I was waiting for her no matter what my family wanted.
Then my government decided to participate in the Alien Love Games intending to strengthen relations with a planet called Earth. My family signed me up without my knowledge. When I was chosen to take part, I was determined to lose spectacularly.
Until I walked into the arena and saw her…
Ava I was tired of the daily grind on Earth, and I needed adventure. When the opportunity to be on the Alien Love Game was literally handed to me, I jumped at the chance. I saw all the pictures of the hot alien guys competing and I wouldn’t mind flirting with any of them. I wasn’t expecting love and as long as I ended up with someone compatible, I’d be thrilled. If it didn’t work out, they assured me I could go back to Earth. So sign me up for some aliens competing for my love.
I didn’t realize that I had to choose the type of competition for the men vying for my heart. What was more romantic than an arena fight? No one would get seriously hurt, but if one guy was stronger than all the rest? Mmmm, yeah. He’d be the one I wanted.
What no one told me is that Bolans mated for life.
Warning: This is a 21k word story with a lot of spiciness. You've been warned.

Avid reader/blogger turned erotica writer during the pandemic — because what else was there to do? I’ve been reading steamy romance novels since elementary school when I would “borrow” my mother’s books. Discovered the key to her locked cabinet in high school and gained access to her stash of good books and was hooked ever since.
I stumbled upon alien erotica novels early in the pandemic, and I honestly hadn’t known non-cheesy ones were out there. I always assumed they would be stupid. But bored with the never-ending sameness, I happened upon one with a hot alien cover and started reading.
As they say, the rest is history. And here I am, writing alien erotica….
I think after Choosing Theo, my hopes for alien books were just too high and this book couldn't meet said expectations even in the least. And yeah, literally ALL she thought about was sex so umm yikes

Alien Love Games: The Arena: Alien Fated Mates Marriage de Kyra Keys seríe Mated to the Bolans libro 1
Argumento:
Short, silly, and not exactly what I was expecting

This is a novella length book. The story’s premise was a good idea, just not well written or executed.
My main issue is the MMC is supposedly “dominant” but displays only slightest amount and then totally ends up as the submissive!? What!?
I think the author was trying to portray both characters as “switches”, but the way the story is written it falls flat. Also, the FMC ends up coming across as calculating and possibly clueless which further takes away from any good points of the story.
IMO it’s an okay book, but needs some more depth and the author needs to work on developing the characters to make it better.
This was actually a really cool read and I wished the story had gone more into the mechanism of the gift the MMC has, because that was actually the part that caught my interest the most. We have a very eager FMC who's just straight up salivating over the MMC and I mean he's gorgeous, rich, and fought for her (literal fighting in an arena). There's the "mating bond" or the concept of a "bond" snapping into place, but instead of it being an invisible feeling, the MMC actually sees it. The whole frequency alteration, like tuning to different radio channels, was so interesting because he can actually adjust his frequency to calm his female without altering her thoughts.
I'm looking forward to reading book 2 and see if this gift is specific to the alien breed or one that species in that universe share. If not, please include this in future works and go deeper into it because it's so fascinating!
I just very recently got into the erotic side of books and even more so for aliens. However this book really did it for me! It was the perfect mix of humor and spice! In the chapter where Ava is in the meeting, it had me laughing so hard because I love her personality and her reactions. I even had to go back and read that part to my husband for him to enjoy it! I definitely will be recommending this book to everyone! I'm so glad I found Kyra Keys books and can't wait to read more from her! This book quickly became a favorite and kept me thinking about it throughout the day. Eventually I give in and pull it back up on my phone to indulge some more goodness! Absolutely love everything in this, even though I wish it would have mentioned her toy again at the end like "I won't need this again" or "nothing compares to him" but that's literally the only thing I can think of to tweak any details. FIVE STARS all around!!
When I received a notification in one of the newsletters about a new story about aliens, I was interested in the description of this short story. I am a fan of alien romances, regardless of whether it is a light romance or dark erotic. When the opportunity arose to read a ARC copy of this story, I enthusiastically approached it. Unfortunately, the book disappointed me a lot, because the main plot practically does not exist in it. Erotic scenes dominate the whole story. The heroine acts like a sex addict who is ready to climb on any alien. By the time the game is over and Ava becomes married, there is hardly any interaction with her husband, except in the sex scenes, even though they are completely strangers to each other. Dexton is a bit better created, but it doesn't save this short story in any way. Definitely not my cup of tea.

Dexton's mother insists that he apply as a participant in the Alien Mating Games. He gets picked, much to his disappointment. But when he gets an eyeful of Ava, his bara activates, sending his emotions into overdrive. Against the show's producers' instructions, Dexton prevails in the challenge for Ava's hand, and they are immediately married. Suddenly, Ava is having second thoughts even though her new husband has given her the best wedding night she could have hoped for. She even contemplates divorce although Bolans are known to mate for life. Would Dexton let her go?
Come along on Ava and Dexton's journey to discover right along with them whether they are truly meant to be life partners or are just a momentary but passionate distraction.
My reviews are always spoilerish. Because sometimes I like to delve into things. So take that as you will.
Overall thoughts I enjoyed this quick little read. It's mostly filler plot and spice. And it's a little ridiculous. But it's fluffy and fun and it's a good pallet cleanse between those long reads. Would I recommend? Sure. Will I read more by this author? Yes.
Tropes and Kinks Dom/sub, fated mates, you're mine, edging, rough sex.
Spice It was good. I think there's like 4 scenes in this short little book. So the spice was plentiful and fun. I like a dom alien, I was into it.
Plot The plot is a little ridiculous, an alien dating show. If someone was on an alien dating show wouldn't she be briefed the race shes Marrying doesn't believe in divorce?
This story is about Ava a human whose mother got het to be a contestant on her favorite show, Alien Love Game. On the Bolan Space Station Ava is looking forward to the three aliens who will compete in an Arena Fight like the days of Roman times for her hand of marriage. Meanwhile Dexton who works in his family telecommunications company gets signed up to the Alien Love Game by his family and is one of the chosen. Dexton is planning to fail, and the show has picked another alien to win. What occurs is a steamy short romantic enjoyable story that I received via Booksprout and I volunteer to review.
Ava is tired of her boring job and wants excitement. When her mother gets her a spot on the Alien Love Game, she is all for watching three sexy aliens fight to win the right to marry her. Dexton is determined to lose the game since Bolan's mate for life. Steamy, sexy, and fun, I loved how Ava kept finding out that behind the scenes of the show was less glamorous than she expected. I loved how Dexton was able to help calm her when ready to panic.

Another in the Alien love game series. This entire series is highly entertaining and smoking hot. This time Drexton needs to win in the arena to marry Ava, unfortunately he isn't the one chosen to win. He gets the bara attraction when he looks at Ava for the first time in the arena and he ends up winning. Ava only wants the sex and if they are compatible she is happy to stay until maybe divorcing in the future. She gets upset when she discovers Bolans marry for life so no divorce allowed. It's a good job she finds her alien highly compatible. This is a must-read page-turner.
I typically love alien/human erotica stories…but this one was just cringe level. The story itself had promise but instead of exploring the mating bond or alien’s ability to manipulate emotion, the author just noted those things and then delved into the sex scenes. That is where the cringe factor came in for me. The sex scenes are just not good - “Pookie Bear” as the reference for a Dom, even meant as a joke, was just hard to read. Also, I’d be happy to never hear about a woman’s “cave walls” as reference to female sex organs. I didn’t DNF this one because it’s only 97 pages.
There’s so much internal monologue, and the only thing ever on the MC’s mind is sex. Don’t get me wrong, I like my smut, but when sex is literally the only thing in her brain--shallow and one-dimensional. As for the MMC, he was giving major 38-year-old spoiled frat dude vibes in the beginning, which was… not great.
This book gave exactly what it promises, Alien smut with a bit of plot. It was a seriously fun read with Ava and Dexton being the main characters. Their chemistry was off the charts. I loved how Ava was upfront about what she wanted from her alien hunk and I love how surprisingly sweet it ended up being.
The spicy scenes were hot and enjoyable to read. A book that delivers on its promises and a very quick read.
I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a paranormal alien romance. This was a really good story that grabbed my attention from the start. There is a happy ever after for Ava and Dexton. The storyline was strong and the characters were both independent but knew what they wanted and went for it.

The story was good. I didn't like the FMC at first but she redeemed herself when she realized what she's going to lose if she left. It was the MMC that carried the story even if it seems like it was the FMC that is the lead.
I don't feel the MMC as an alpha. He says that he is a dom, but it looks like it's the FMC who is.
There are instances though that the author is telling me the story instead of showing me.

This is a fast paced short story. It’s well written with amazing characters and storyline. There’s fated mates, plot twist, passion, steamy scenes and more with a happily ever after ending. Ava has been selected to go on a show where aliens compete to win a mate. She loves the show but once she’s on it, she finds out some things that she really doesn’t like. Luckily for her it doesn’t go the way it’s supposed to.

Enjoyable read, felt slightly rushed hence why 4 stars and not 5. First I've read from this author, will look out for others. Hopefully there will be others to this series.
Ava gets to go on her favourite TV show to find a match with a Bolan alien. Dexter is one of the candidate to fight for her, which he plans to lose until he sees her.

It's not a bad little read. Alien erotica. There are little bits of humor dabbled in. There isn't an excessive amount of world or character building, but it was definitely sufficient for the length of the book. I enjoyed it and will likely check out others in the series.
Ava's parents get her a spot on her favorite TV show! SHE GETS TO MARRY AN ALIEN! Dexton's parents also get him into the show.
If you like lots of alien sex this is for you. Ava goes on an alien game show and wins Dexton for her husband for life. For life. Too bad she missed the fine print about the for life part. But the sex decides her. Enough said. Not one of my favorites. I like more story, adventure etc. But if this is what you're after it is a HEA.
This was a cute, quirky read. It had me laughing "pookie bear" and then having hot flashes. It was a quick read, with a 40% story line , but then again with a fork tongue and blue skin, with a need to dominate you problem it is ok the other 60% is them getting to know each other.
Over all review, read it, you will enjoy it , You be glad you did.
Drama .5/5 Story 3.5/5 Spicy: 5/5 Laugh meter: 4/5 Trigger: BDSM
Well, this was a fast, fun novella. There are some many parts that made me laugh out loud because of the inner monologue of Ava. This is low on plot but just enough to give you a back story. It is one that I would recommend if you need a fun, short steamy book. There are enough details and cute moments to keep you reading it. This is what I would consider an hour read. Which is perfect for anyone needing a quick escape and nothing serious but all frivolous.
This was a fast pace so five sexy fun. A storyline without scanning with characters that have great chemistry together. Their chemistry was off the charts and I loved Ava and Daxton together. It was a short romantic story that I found enjoyable.

Well ritten characters I got the fill of the human in the alien and how they felt. Good plot and it has a twister 2 in it which I really enjoyed. I can't compare this to any other stories of aliens because I haven't read them. I probably will look into this author and the other books that she has.
This is the first story I've read by this author and I truly enjoyed it 😀. This story is a perfect example of expecting one thing and getting another, but better 😃. This story was a quick story that had the BEST of everything to it 😉. Thanks so much Kyra, I really Loved this story and look forward to reading more 🤓.
This was a good fast easy fun read. I don't watch reality TV because I don't like it. I am not sure why I wanted to read this book when that was what it was, but I did, and I would read other books in this series. I am a sucker for that instant mate connection thing so that probably helped. I liked the backstory for both of them, surprising and interesting details. On a side note, his dad -awww
