Pixie Pink #2

Pixies Might Like Claws

Wherever there's trouble, expect to find Dominic Dane involved.

As an ODP agent, it was always my dream to work big cases, chase after bad guys and lock them up. And now that there's a brand new, deadly drug is circulating the streets, all my dreams are about to come true.

Well...not all of them.

Because where there's trouble, of course Dominic is going to be there. Not only does he haunt my dreams, he's back to haunt my reality, too. It doesn't help that he gets into my head without making an effort. And it doesn't help that he's in pain whenever he's close to me, either.

But lying and covering up for him comes at a price. And when things get completely out of hand...he won't be the only werewolf I'll have to worry about.

really bored with the stars-crossed lovers

That’s now 2 entire books of ‘stars-crossed lovers’ bs. The story has made zero progress. Zero. I’m bored and frustrated with the never ending, “we love each other, and we’d die for each other, but we refuse to be together” angsty, melodramatic waterworks. It’s like squeezing blood from a turnip with these two. I like the world building, but I don’t really like the 2 main characters. They annoy me. Just grow up and make a decision on your quasi relationship/friends with benefits. I’ll probably read book 3 just to finish this series, but I’ll be reading it a bit reluctantly. If it turns into a carbon copy of books 1 & 2, it’s definitely going to be a DNF for me.

This is such a great series! I loved book one and book two is even better! We pick up a little while after the end of book one and we see Teddy carry on with her duties as an agent and she is an awesome character. She’s strong, she’s sassy, she’s a little snarky and can totally kick ass until Dom stumbles into her new case and causes all kinds of disruption and heartache. Filled with action, mystery, suspense, magic and has twists and turns to keep you on your toes! It’s a fantastic addition to this incredible series and I cannot wait to read more.

This one was kind of boring. It doesn't feel like anything changed and I don't understand the reason Dominic keeps struggling with his wolf - it's never explained what the wolf really wants, so we just see him fighting almost needlessly.

And the way their relationship is a little sketchy??? Dominic comes around whenever he wants and then Teddy is immediately helpless to anything he wants but then whoop his wolf oh no and so one of them leaves.

There's an interesting plot in the background, please oh please let me hear about it instead.

I was given the opportunity to read an ARC of this book and I’m freely writing this review.

O.M.G. This book was so amazing!! This continuation of Teddy (a pink pixie who can barely do magic) and Dominick’s (a werewolf who can barely control his beast) steaming hot story was everything I’d been hoping for!! I got a rejected mate feeling and it ends on a cliffhanger BUT there’s hope that everything turns out perfectly in the next (and final) book of the trilogy. I’m not one to post spoilers so I won’t but do yourself a favor and go read this series!!

The first book was great, but this one fell pretty flat. Teddy is too dense to understand basic conversation and meaning. Dom makes me wanna slap someone. They made actually zero progress in their character development. How is that even possible.

The first book was good but this book was just annoying. The plot didn’t really go forward and the FMC couldn’t “control” herself around the MMC who was just awful. He literally kept pushing her away yet not letting her go. I know sometimes it happens but this was MULTIPLE times. Pushed her. Grabbed her. Pushed her. Grabbed her. She had absolutely no backbone

This one was...okay. I enjoyed Werewolves Like Pink Too and was looking forward to perhaps shedding light on some of my unanswered questions in this sequel. I feel like this one went in a different direction. Again perhaps I'll change my rating later after reading the third book, however I was pretty underwhelmed.
I understand sometimes the push/pull between characters can be a plot device and is meant to be frustrating, however I really lost sight of the push pull in this one. spoiler:

This book was as good as the first in the series. We get a chance to meet Teddy's friends and give her character some depth, but thankfully they weren't around THAT much. They got a bit tough to take, but not to the detriment of the story. Just "whew," after their shenanigans.

While it can be frustrating to deal with the angst in a relationship, sometimes it’s good to read a book that isn’t just love at first sight and everything is hunky dory. Dom is a tough nut to crack, that's all there is to it.

There is some cat and mouse that develops with the plot of this story, and Teddy's finds herself caught in the middle of wanting the big case, and being worried about Dom's involvement.

Leaving the reader of a cliffhanger (in fine DN Hoxa fashion), I am looking forward to reading the third book.

I received an ARC of this story, and this is my honest opinion.

Teddy has finally been given the opportunity to work on bigger more important cases and her newest one is a doozy. There is a new drug on the streets of New York that is killing its users. Fortunately for her, Dominic shows up in time to save her from an impulsive decision to investigate on her own, but unfortunately, it also reminds her that he can’t be with her because it causes him too much pain.
I absolutely love Teddy, but all of the characters in this book are fascinating and unique. Action, a little suspense, magic, shifters and many other paranormals, with some steam, and unexpected twists in the plot it kept me engrossed in the pages of this book from the first page to the last. I highly recommend this read.

Annnnnnnnnnnd now I am back to reality…

Book 1 was so good that this one fell flat. It felt like all of the cliches that the author avoided in book 1 came out in this one; so much so, that the spicy scenes actually made me mad and I stopped reading!!

This book gets 1 star for Derek, 1 star for the kids and her friends and 0.5 stars for action.

The other half star goes to the following quotes:
“I just closed my eyes and begged my heart to stop wanting stupid things”
And
“How fucking ridiculous. Completely absurd to know that this was all me. No supernatural being, no amount of magic was guiding my thoughts or my body. It was all me.”

The storyline is interesting and I will give book 3 a shot but I will DNF it real fast if it’s as repetitive as this one.

This goddamn book. I fell in love with Dominic and Teddy in Werewolves Like Pink Too and the first half of PMLC had me so upset. Dominic—what are you doing?! Teddy—aaaahhhhhhh!!!! Literally having to put my kindle down every 10 minutes because I’m stressed out and need to rant about it for a while and calm myself down…

I have a love/hate relationship with these two right now but there’s hope! Lol the amount of drama and action in this one was so much more than the first book but the decisions being made by my favorite characters had me so furious the whole time! I mean come on Dom what are you doing?!?! That ending though gave me some hope for book 3…I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next and how Derek fits into this now….

It was a nice book to keep reading with the series but for me it took me sometime to get into it. Not my favorite and would recommend it if you really liked book 1 and are looking to read the series but for me sometimes I got frustrated with the characters and was looking for more. Don’t really know if I would read the 3rd one when it comes out. Dominic frustrated the hell out of me and teddy sometimes even more. The miscommunication trope here it’s BIG part of the book and it definitely made me really angry because it’s just not for me. For some people may be but not for me. I really think this could have ended here with a cute and HEA but it didn’t and that’s the reason for I would think twice to keep reading this series

This series gets better with each book. The two main characters do their best to ignore the other. Tension runs high whenever the two are together. Teddy has become a field agent for the ODP since her first case. Her confidence in herself has grown. Dominic is a wolf you just love to hate. He has become addicted to the drug that controls his wolf and Teddy ends up covering for him more than once. But by the end of the book, you see a different side of Dominic. The ending caught me off guard and definitely looking to see how this plays out. Love this series so far!

An action-packed, paranormal, police procedural. Teddy De Ver is pink: a pink pixie to be exact. After completing her first mission in the previous title, she's getting the opportunity to complete more. Dominic Dane is an absentee. Which makes her life easier and harder. The story is laced with mild BDSM themes. The love-hate relationship between Teddy and Dom was hard to read. Though< I am interested to see how the series plays out.

Action-packed. Entertaining. Romantic. Scary. Steamy. Tragic. Twisted. Unpredictable. Wonderful characters.

I received a review copy of this book from a third party. This is my honest review.

The writing is amazing! Seriously I got sucked into the story right away, having jumped in straight from the cliffhanger from book 1 (I HATE cliffhangers but I love a good series so thank the lucky stars this one is finished and out for us binge readers!!). There's so much turmoil for the characters in this book and the spicy scenes? Those 3 chapters were HOT! 🥵
An amazing story to read...with so much action, intrigue and of course intense burning between our main characters. Just watch out for that last chapter....it has bite...

I loved this second book! Teddy and Dominic make a great pair. It is a shame that they both do not see it right away. Well we get more of this amazing pair and all of the fun friends and family, that are there with them. This book has me very excited for the next one! I think that this series is GREAT! I can not give away anymore without giving spoilers and I just won't do that! I Loved Everything about this Story and feel that it is AMAZING!!! I so need more!

This series has me in a chokehold. I feel lots of ppl would think it’s corny but there’s aspects that keep me thinking about this series on a regular basis. It will make you giggle, it will make you shout in indignation, it will make you gasp. ESPECIALLY the FMC, love her to death! I need book 3 please OML. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is Dom is being a dumb boy stupid head 😤 I love that we got to see more of the brother and kids ❤️

I really enjoyed Teddy’s story even though it was heart breaking having her not with Dom. There is still a connection between them that can’t be denied. Once again Teddy will do anything too protect Dom and it may cost her. This was a good story and after this ending I can’t wait too read the next book.

There's a new drug called Crackdown that is sweeping through the supernatural community. Teddy De Ever is tasked with finding the source if Crackdown before any more deaths occur. Teddy never expected to find Dominic Dane looking for Crackdown. Can Teddy do her job? Find out in Pixies Might Like Claws.

Couldn’t Put It Down

This, like the first, is action packed. Fast paced with a complicated relationship thrown in the mix to keep one on tenterhooks. Get all three so you can keep in the rhythm of the storyline.
