The Emperor surely put some interesting words to text, and I've been contemplating them now for several months. I do not know what conditions he was in as he put these thoughts to writing, but surely he was aware of his mortality. He considered mankind, the gods, and the roles we play while we exist here on Earth. While not all of his words were "deep thoughts", certainly some struck home with me enough to consider this a worthy book for folks to read.

My favorite thought: The universe is transformation; life is opinion.

Think on that a while, and I think you will come to see our Emperor was a deep thinker.
