Broken Alphas #1

The Omega’s Wolves

Rate this book
Worthless. Disposable. Omega.

I’ve always known my standing in the pack, but I never thought my father would slit my throat as a sacrifice for the wolves’ goddess. I should have died, but Luneste refused the blood payment, and instead wrathful moon magic filled my bleeding body.

Fleeing my furious pack, I find safety with four broken, psycho obsessive Bakkhos, tortured Draven, cruel Wild, and commanding Kaan. But the wolves of my new pack are vicious and unhinged, and even worse enemies hunt them than my father.

Three of my wolves are determined to claim me as their mate, but when Kaan rejects our bond, not even my new magic will save me from the pain.

Broken Alphas is a rejected mates paranormal romance series, with fated mates, four vicious, passionate alphas who badly need love, and a vulnerable omega in desperate need of protection. It also features a pregnancy, and alpha and omega elements, so if you’re not a fan of either, this might not be the book for you.

This book is medium burn, with moderate heat, and multiple love interests, and WILL have a HEA in the final book.

DNF at 20%

The dialog and forced pity was pretty awful. scenes like this were so cringy and extremely heavy handed:

“You don’t want my growl,” he breathed, and his voice was so pitiful, I felt sick, another instinctive omega response I assumed. Or maybe plain old sympathy. “You don’t want me.” I dragged a hand down my face, annoyed at myself for being moved by his whine. He was a stranger—why should I care if I hurt his feelings? And why was the instinct to purr choking off my air? “Why am I surprised?” he murmured, and I wondered if his low words were even meant for me. “Why should I be surprised? Dad didn’t want me, the pack didn’t want me. Why would my mate?”

I can tell you about my past if that’d help you trust me?” he offered, and then dissolved into jagged laughter. It was painful to hear. “No, that’d never work. No one wants to hear about a boy in a cage.”

WHO TALKS LIKE THAT? That sounds more like a super attention starved teenager trying so hard to hint to other people to try to ask about his life and pity him. Say something shocking and act like its not a big deal so people can make a fuss. holy shit.

So wishy-washy.
1) she is terrified of the alphas and has sex with one within an hour
2) she says she won't join their pack (and has good reason not to) yet she did THE FOLLOWING DAY
3) she says she wants to be her own person and not just a breeder - what do we get for about 60% of the book? her being a mindless breeder - don't get me wrong, the sex was very well written, just completely against what she supposedly stands for
4) having her out of her mind with heat doesn't change the fact that Wild assaults and then essentially rapes her
5) plot hole - Wild didn't bite her yet has the telepathy.
6) Moonlight from a moon goddess makes sense. Where did the ice come from?
7) we are told the crazy alpha (Bakkaus?) is crazy but not really shown it - the only thing we see is him laughing inappropriately.

Essentially, instead of a main character she is mindless sex toy - not something that is interesting to read.

This had a good plot but the pace felt off to me. It was very rushed so there wasn't much time to actually get to know all of the characters very well and it also left the world building feel nonexistent. Overall pretty good but left me wanting more.

Magical Reverse Harem

Raw, Gritty, Intriguing and Magical Page Tuner!!!!

This book was better than I imagined. Honestly I didn’t know what to expect. Nixette aka Nixie was taken from her home by her father (Alpha) and brothers to be used as a sacrifice to the Wolf Goddess Luneste. The Tulay Pack was facing famine and infertility and Nixie’s father felt that the only way to gain the Moon Goddess favor was by sacrifice. All previous sacrifices did not work leaving Nixie’s father to believe that they needed a special sacrifice and the only one worthy enough to offer her life was his daughter who was also an Omega.

During the sacrifice Nixie last prayer to the Moon Goddess was for her to not accept her sacrifice but to make her Pack pay for what they did to her. Hearing her prayer Luneste not only gives Nixie her life back but also bestowed some of her Moonlight Power in her so that she could get her own revenge when the time comes. Luneste also informed Nixie to run and to keep going until she found the Cottage that was the Pack of Broken Alphas and find the Alpha of Alphas and she would be safe.

As an Omega Nixie knew what her purpose was to Alphas but she didn’t anticipate meeting the 4 Broken Alphas all of whom are her Mates. She came face to face with Obsessive and Overly Affectionate Bakkhos, Quiet and Tortured Draven, Cruel and Sinister Wild and the Commanding but Caring Alpha of Alphas Kaan. Each Alpha were so broken it literally broke Nixie’s heart. 2 out of 4 of her Mates (Bakkhos and Draven) have claimed Nixie without any problems but both Wild and Kaan refused to bite and/or claim Nixie. In fact; Kaan has repeatedly rejected Nixie causing her to fall into despair.

Constantly on the run from her Father’s Pack, as well as Bakkhos and Draven’s Pack the Broken Park has to stay on the move. Having mated with Bakkhos, Draven and Wild; Nixie is now pregnant but her pregnancy is progressing to quickly and her body is unable to handle the pregnancy. Even with the Moonlight magic bestowed upon her by the Moon Goddess herself isn’t enough to keep Nixie and her unborn baby safe. As danger approaches and the Broken Pack find themselves fighting for their lives; Nixie is taken by her father and brothers but they don’t get far as Luneste gives Nixie just enough power to enact her revenge.

This story leaves on a Cliffhanger with a Livid Luneste confronting the Alpha of Alpha about the role he is playing in Nixie’s demise. Kaan learns that the reason for Nixie’s decline in health is due to his constant rejection. As he is the only Alpha who hasn’t even mated with Nixie. Kaan is terrified because as a young boy he watched his father kill his mother simply with his Alpha growl of submission and that alone has Kaan so terrified to mate and claim Nixie out of fear that he will repeat his father’s mistake. Now Kaan is faced with a gut wrenching dilemma. Claim Nixie so that her and the baby can survive or Claim her and accidentally kill her in a moment of weakness.

I am anticipating Part 2 of this story to see what else is in store for Nixie and her Broken Alphas.

From the very beginning of this book Omega Nix's (FMC) life is one of hardship. Within a family that should love and care for her then on to four broken Alphas - Kaan, Bakkhos, Draven and Wild. Four very different Alphas but all broken in some way by the life they had before they joined their pack. I loved how Hix seamlessly slotted into this new group of guys even with how damaged the Alphas were. It is a book thats dark in places but it also has a lot of heart and i got a feeling that all the guys were looking for was love and understanding. It was sad.

I was frustrated by Kaan, i wanted to punch Wild silly but i loved Bakkhos and Draven. The two of them and Nix made the book for me but im hoping the other Alphas will change in the next book? With that ending i cant wait for the next one. A brilliant start to this series and i loved reading it

Ok. I like the plot line. I had some very serious dislikes about this book for a few reasons.

1) The Alpha's themselves.... I don't like them at all. Too much brokenness in them. I can't see Nix loving them or trying to healing them at all. Kaan... leader was a idiot for hurting her over and over when he knew that he wasn't like the others. Wild.... has some bad vibes around him. Draven quite... i think he could be changed and all that. Bakkhos was scary at first but he did grow on me.

2) The harsh words to Nix from Wild at all times, even when he was rutting with her. It was a disgrace and disgust.

3)The world building... modern times... for sure i think. But why was the no one else able to shift besides the full moon, more about the world they live in would be a good thing to know? Why was the land not able to have the females to conceive?

4) I also do not understand why Wild had telepathy with Nix when he didn't bite her while she was in heat.

5) Nix; herself, falling into the same way that all Omega's do. She says on thing but then does something different. While at times, she was strong and then times she was a idiot. IN her heat, she turns into a sex toy and breeder when she didn't want that.

Really enjoyed this story

Surprised at how much I enjoyed this read. This book had parts I didn't think that I would enjoy. ass&hole mate who should have never touched her for one, and our H constant heat moments at the worse possible times. But somehow it just all around worked for me. Even the goddess seems shady, yet I just couldn't get enough of this story!

I can’t resist a broken hero so 4 ?! Sign me up

Wow what a ride and what an ending ! 🤯🤯🤯

I wasn’t too sure going in as I’m not the biggest fan of the rejected mate trope but I was sufficiently intrigued to give it a go. And I was not disappointed.

This series has a lot to offer with a pack of tortured, broken heroes looking for redemption (even if they won’t admit it to themselves - yes I’m talking about you Wild…), a strong heroine finding her own voice and a loooooot of steam.

However, I had a hard time with the amount of s*x (not because of the s*x in itself) because it was pretty contradictory with the FMC's determination to be more than a breeder and a s*x toy for the alphas. This part lost me a little bit...

In any case, I’m really excited for the next book and what will happen. This was my first book by this author and I’ll be sure to check her other books.

*Beware this book ends on a cliffhanger, still easy to live with it but it’s good to know beforehand*

The Omega’s Wolves by Leigh Kelsey is a rejected mates paranormal romance. This is the first book in the Broken Alpha's series.

This is the first book of Leigh's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I can't wait to see how Nixette's relationship with the Broken Pack will progress over the series.

The book ended with a great cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait to jump into the next book The Omega's Mates so I can get more of Nixette's story.

I would recommend this book if you like rejected mate's romances or paranormal romances.

This books starts off and gets right to it with Nix’s murder and rebirth and her quick meeting with the broken pack.

These alphas are all so unique and broken just like Nix herself.

Oh yah … and there is lots of delicious smut 🔥 😈

Wonderful story that ends on a cliff hanger. I normally do not recommend books that end like this. Will make an exception because it was so well written. Hope I do not live to regret my decision'

I am giving 5 stars to this book, even though I hate cliffhangers with a white hot passion, because I could NOT put it down. Also, it was smoking hot.

So, the ending made me scream... but so did the middle parts? lol #sorryknotsorry

MY NEW FAVORITE OMEGAVERSE

This is a review where I have to spend 90% of it gushing about the guys! They are all intense in their own ways, and I AM HERE FOR IT!

Bacchos's crazed sweetness instantly drew me in. He's someone who will protect you with his life, and more importantly, you'll WANT him there by your side.

Kaan will melt your heart (and panties) with every one of his "sweethearts" to Nix. He has a gentle giant hidden under his depths and though he's trying to resist our omega, I can't wait for her to bring him to his knees.

Drayven, oh I am curious about this scarred, broken boy. The author blew me away with the subtle ways throughout the book that she depicted the Broken Packs pain, but Drayven's especially tugs on the heart strings. From the moment he realized Nix didn't feel like barbed wire, he had my heart.

Saving the sharpest for last, Wild. This character pushed my own limits by reading it. When the author warns this book is dark, she's mostly talking about Wild 😅 he brings the intensity that had me questioning if I should be enjoying this, but things were too hot not to!

Nix is perfect, not a perfect character, but perfect for this story. From the beginning she was ready to fight for what she wants, and this Omega hasn't stopped fighting since. I love her strength and unwillingness to be walked over, while still having weaknesses.

I can already tell this series is going to be a favorite omegaverse for me. There's tons of omega goodness: knottings, heats, alphas, growling and so much more. The world and characters are incredibly realistic for such a fantasy story.
And best of all, this story has a depth to it that makes your heart swoon. Please hurry up and give me book 2!!!

It wasn’t a bad book, I did like reading this book. It was extremely fast paced and burn for an RH book. The FMC, Nix (an omega), was sacrificed by her pack because they thought it would bring them good fortune and pups again. But the goddess heard Nix’s prayer for revenge and justice and brought back to life with power and a direction to find the alphas that would be her mates.

The alphas are extremely messed up, damaged and scared mentally and emotionally, and broken. They definitely need Nix in their lives. But the past keeps coming for them all. On the run from multiple packs and going to a safe haven that the goddess wants them to go, Nix goes into heat. That heat led to two alphas becoming her mates, one alpha wants to but so messed up emotionally that he hasn’t committed yet, and the alpha of alphas rejects her because of his past. But that rejection (which was made multiple of times) is slowly killing Nix, and oh yeah…Nix is pregnant and the pregnancy is faster than normal due to the goddess and Nix’s powers.

After the ending and cliffhanger, I’m still interested and intrigued that I will read book 2 once it comes out. Hopefully this year and not next year.

Harem: Kaan (alpha of alphas), Draven (quiet, gentle, assassin), Bakkhos (feral, hyper, flirty, and chaotic mentally), and Wild (jerk, broody, damage mentally and emotionally from past)

Sexiness: 4.5 out of 5. There was some dub con that was dangerous close to crossing a line, and the was between Wild and Nix. So if you have any triggers be careful and skip over if you need to. But this book was heavily sexually.

There was multiple POVs.

This review is of my own opinion.

Uhhh I was not expecting this book to have the level of dubcon and noncon that it does. It was really disturbing to be honest, especially the scenes with Wild. The author tries to put in some justification for his behavior, but he sexually assaults her more than once in this book despite the many times the others say she’ll be safe with him. They also allow him to participate when she’s unable to properly give consent so even though she’s saying yes, literally all of her words and actions when she is coherent and of the right mind are a resounding NO. It’s noncon no matter what way you spin it, and it didn’t add a single thing to this story. The writing is also a little bit immature with more telling than showing.

Note about the trigger warnings: I use the Amazon descriptions of books to see what the CWs are for a book. There is no mention in the Amazon or GR descriptions of the type of triggers or any indication to check the authors note in the book for them. The ebook opens on the first chapter, skipping the author’s note with the trigger warnings. I wouldn’t have even known it was there if I didn’t see another review after I wrote mine that mentioned it. The CW note in the book does mention ‘past rape’, however there are multiple non consensual scenes between the main characters on page and in the present.. I think the author believes these are dubcon scenes, and while some may hedge that line, they absolutely lean more noncon and at least one is complete non con.

The Omega’s Wolves by

Fated Mates

Draven- MMC- Alpha Wolf
Bakkhos- MMC- Alpha Wolf- 29
Wild- MMC- Alpha Wolf
Kaan- MMC- Packs Alpha Wolf

So I actually really like this book and I'm not exactly sure why. It's one of those despite all the flaws I didn't mind it but did take me 2 days to read. The beginning started off strong and then it started reading more like a YA novel or Kindle Vella that was never edited to make it flow easier. Also following which alpha is which is kind of hard in this book especially the first 40% or so considering the author does use a lot of nicknames or Identifying features/ she'll call for instance one of them Crazed Alpha (Bakkhos) or Soft Alpha (Draven). Also at 80% when thet stop at the bathroom. Nix made no sense about the going to the bathroom with a buddy thing. She legit knows old packs are close but shes going to be like "Nah you dont need to go with me to the bathroom. Ill be fine. As she complained about her dad finding and killing her. " idk i thought that made no sense. Considering Lunette just told her to have hope & stay with her pack.

Book opens when Nix being sacrificed by her small pack (father alpha) to the luneste goddess as their people are dying. She was their 3rd sacrifice to the goddess. She fought it and Luneste answered her when she died. Gave her moon powers and told her to find the broken pack and the alpha all alpha's(Kaan). She wakes up On the altar gets up and Fights off her family and runs. She was found by Draven( broken pack) You find out all 4 guys have a similar birth mark Crescent moon as Nix does. She hides upstairs in Bakkhos bathroom. She ends up mate marking Bakkhos on the first night. You learn basically all 4 of the guys are broken in different ways. Ie Bakkhos going feral at 5 & being locked in a cage till 23 when Kaan found him. You also find out once she becomes a pack member of Broken Pact. They are blessed by Luneste & she can shift without the moon all of them can. Kaan Says he can be her alpha but he can't be her mate and you realize that hes afraid of hurting her. Draven was an assassin in his old pact where he was forced to take a mate bond But must have severned it somehow. Wilds got his issues. The day after she wakes up and sees someone in the woods. They go and catch this person and they find out that the person was scouting the property and he called the other pacts telling them that an omega was in the home. The alpha's old packs were coming after them and Nixs dad's pack linked up with them. Nixs dad tries to go after sir so they all leave the cabin and then they travel and stop at a hotel after Nix's dad car chased & confronted them. Nix went into heat. She f>cked Wild. She mate marks Draven. 75% When she fell asleep she was visited by Luneste saying that she was pregnant and that if she stayed with the broken alpha pack she would be safe and she needed to leave soon because the old packs were close. Luneste has secret packlands for them to go to be safe. Nix got super sick and very expedited pregnancy ie showing the next day. Nix realized she was getting sick because Kaan wouldnt accept their bond because he was afraid. Luneste came to her in a dream & told her she needed to tell Kaan or she'd die but the baby would live. They get ready to leave their hotel when they are ambushed by her family pack. She ends up killing a few people. LAST CHAPTER is KAAN Pov when Luneste comes to him & tells him he's killing Nix by not accepting her. You find out hes worried because he watched his dad kill his mom by using his Alpha bark & he's afraid itll hurt Nix. Then the book ends.

Warning slight spoilers...

Leigh Kelsey is a new to me author. The Omega's Wolves is only the second book I've read by Leigh and she's hooked me, this book was fire. Leigh is taking the typical troupes and is totally spinning them on their head. I think I'm okay with saying that the main character is ritually sacrificed in the first chapter and no I didn't say almost sacrificed, her pack killed her, the f***ing nerve. Then there is the Moon Goddess Luneste who is actually somewhat helpful, I know a deity that actually does something helpful instead of being super cryptic. The main female character is an omega and she accepts what the goddess tells her and is pretty smooth going than being difficult. Then there's a pack of alphas and an alpha of alphas, all who have some type of damage due to their pasts but are the kindest guys but also a little crazy and that's just the tip of the iceberg.

The Omega's Wolves is an omegaverse with all the steamy deliciousness of an omegaverse, there is the typical omega/alpha relationship where the omega is the emotional support to the pack and the alpha is protective and caring, there is also knotting, slick and a whole bunch of other hot stuff this book was a fast-burn that set me on fire. Nixette "Nix" is the main character, the story is told from her perspective. She is an omega and after running from her pack she finds the Broken pack, the pack of alphas. Nix is a caring person, it's in her omega nature but she doesn't initially accept the alphas so she fights her nature which shows her strength, she doesn't just lie down and take things, she fights back and does it with a little sass too. However, after everything she's been through Nix isn't afraid to open herself up to these alphas and when she does she finds a place where she feels safe, feels like she belongs.

There are four alphas in the Broken pack. Kaan who is the alpha of alphas is kind, caring, and very protective, he's a good alpha but rejects Nix time and time again, not because he doesn't want her, no it's something else that's keeping him from moving forward. Then there is Draven the strong silent and gentle type who is afraid of getting close to anyone but can't help but get closer to Nix. Wild is a jerk, the kind of kid who pulled the hair of the girl he liked, he has the most damage out of everyone and is a total conundrum and I honestly don't know how it's gonna turn out. Finally but not least there is Bakkhos, oh my gosh. Bakkohos is crazy af, manic who when he is happy has the biggest smile but when he is pissed can be super vicious but never turns that on Nix he calls her Sunshine, I know, I'm swooning. Bakkhos has gone through a lot and is legit crazy but he is also the most thoughtful, the sweetest, and onboard from the start, it's always the craziest ones who are.

The Omega's Wolves was steamy goodness but there were a lot of emotional connections in this book and while yeah an omega is panted as weak, I couldn't help but see Nix's strength in this book. While dealing with her own trauma, and there is a lot of it, she heals the alphas, or at least she is starting to. She cares about them, about their past, she listens to their wants and tries to anticipate their emotional needs as much as they are trying to take care of her. Even Wild who is a jerk starts to show signs of caring and changing, if only a little. The plot is good because it has me asking all sorts of questions, like why are they after the alphas? What is gonna happen with Nix's pack? Will Wild's fractured soul heal? What does the goddess have in-store? I can't wait to get some of those answers in the next book, the Omega's Mates.

Why did you read this book?
I'm a sucker for reverse harem romances.

What format did you read this book in?
Read it as an ebook on Kindle.

Is this an educational book or a book for entertainment?
I read this book for pure entertainment purposes.

What genres do you think this book belongs to?
Fantasy, Paranormal, Romance,

What was your favorite part in the book?
I think my favorite part of the book as when what are the love interests is punished for his dubious consent behavior

Who would you suggest this book to?
Anyone who likes Omegaversus, reverse harems, and dark romances.

What is your general opinion/ rating of this book?
The book was interesting enough to hold my interest despite some of the cliches. This was mainly in erotica with a little bit of fantasy mixed in. If you're looking for a book where the main character and love interest develop feelings for each other overtime, then this book is not for you. The romantic development of the characters happens quickly and almost instantly. I had a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that all of the characters seem to disrespect their Goddess. The villain acts out of character. He is prideful and doesn’t seek help from other tribes. But by the end of the book he seeking help from several different tribes to hunt the main character down. I find it odd that no one shows the main character respect or fear despite the fact she's been blessed by the Goddess. However, I did not read this book for the story. I was looking for an easy and spicy reverse harem and in my opinion that’s what omegaverses are all about.

Are there any cliché scenes or concepts?
This book is in an omegaverse, the female main character is an Omega, and the love interest are Alphas. The female main character is blessed with special abilities.

How intense are the intimacy scenes?
The intimacy scenes are vividly detailed and a few of the scenes have kinked them. There is a non-consensual scene with one of the love interest that is vividly described.

At what “burn” level is the romance?
Burn level is cold for the first part of the book, but then turns instantly hot for the rest of the novel.

Love interests, how many of them are there and what gender?
There are four love interests, all male, and all alphas. Kaan- the alpha of alphas. Draven- big and silent type. Bakkhos- The feral one. Wild- The crazy/ cruel one.

Any trigger warnings?
Mental Health: Suicide Idealization, Scars, Romanticized Mental Illness, PTSD, Emotional Abuse, Controlling Parents, Panic Attacks, Trauma, Confrontation Rapist/Abuser, Non-consent behavior

Leigh Kelsey has another amazing write under her belt. If you're a fan of omegaverse, either non shifter or shifter, I think you really love this book! Growly, protective alphas that are a bit broken and a tad psychotic plus a fierce and stubborn omega that is just as broken as they are make some amazing characters that you immediately want to learn more about and see just how crazy they will get when it comes to protecting each other. Like many other omegaverse books, you also get the purring, knotting, a copious amount of slick, heat fever, comfort that being near each other brings, and tons of steamy scenes right along with the sweet ones.

This book is a smidge on the dark side but I'm not sure how an author could have men such as the ones in the Broken Pack who have such traumatic pasts and not have it dive into the shadows a tiny bit. Despite the darkness and the broken parts of each character, I have to say that the men are much more loving and caring than I expected them to be. The combination of sweet and deranged just does it for me. Bakkhos and Wild are by far the most psychotic of the bunch and in different ways, but even then they are drastically different from each other. Whereas Bakkhos is unbelievably sweet towards the main fmc, Nix, Wild thrives in taunting her and being unabashedly offensive. He's a hard one for me to like at this point in the series, but I'm looking forward to seeing a change in him soon. Draven is another kind and thoughtful one. He was easy to like even after his rocky start. Kaan is probably the most confusing of the bunch. He's protective to a fault, considerate, and supportive of Nix, but still doesn't want her as a mate. His rejection, even if it isn't meant to harm Nix, still affects her greatly throughout the book.

One of the things that I liked about this book is that the pregnancy aspect was done well, as in it didn't take up too much of the storyline. It isn't a huge focus and was sped up to where I know the rest of the series shouldn't be centered around it. Sometimes I'm craving pregnancy in books, but in this case I'm totally fine with it getting done and out of the way early on if possible. I'm much more invested in the broken characters and their journey as they run from the packs that want to hurt them and take Nix's power for themselves. I want to see more development in their relationships, more wielding of the Goddess's power, and more action as this group comes together to bring back the balance with the packs. Book two is going to be an exciting one!

Leigh has created an enthralling and tantalising dark Omegaverse that sinks its claws into you and refuses to let you go. The imagery and world building is as magical as it is foreboding, that in its self sets the tone for the book.

Nix is an awe-inspiring FMC she is broken, abused and betrayed by those who were meant to love and protect her. She might be an omega who everyone looks down on but she has an inner strength, an inner fire that will burn brighter than the moon.

The alphas of the Broken Pack really do live up to their name sake. Draven, Bakkhos and Wild each more broken than the other have found solace as part of the Broken pack. Rescued from a life of pain and torment, brought into a safe place to begun healing under the watchful eye of the Alpha of Alphas Kaan. Kaan is in some ways the most broken in the pack, causing himself more pain by ignoring his need to heal.

Nix brings a totally new dynamic to the Broken pack, with the backing of fate and Luneste she has the ability to bring new life to each of them. She can help heal the wounds of the past that are still raw enough to affect the present whilst also giving new life to the broken lands.

The Broken pack has a target in its back for being Goddess blessed and for having Nix. They are being hunted by damaged, deranged and dying packs at every turn whilst also fighting fate. To survive they must unite and follow fate otherwise no one will survive.

The question of will they all accept their fate is left hanging in the air in an emotional cliff hanger. I absolutely loved this book its deep, dark and emotional.

Not bad, but goes pretty fast - too fast for any plot to be well fleshed out. Makes whatever relationship development feel unrealistic and incomplete, even with the fated mates thing. [Also, how can Wild talk to her telepathically if he didn't bite her?]

The drama with her father/old pack feels like something I've read before. Deranged and desparate can only be rewritten so many times. Not the most interesting. What was interesting is that the Godess Luneste is an actual character - neat. Though we don't know why, in general, packs are suffering. What made Luneste so mad?

Smut is good - omega heat plus fated mates

Nix is a little too wishy washy for me. I get grew-up-in-a-clut vibes, so the fact that she moves on to be a badass so suddenly? Eh. Also, she gets over her reservations with the harem relatively fast. It's fated mates, so there's soooome forgiveness there, but why make her resistant to them to begin with?

I like the guys for the most part, but they are admittedly shallowly written. All broken and traumatized and so sad.

Overall, there was a lot of potential here. It's not bad by any means, but it certainly needed a good editor. Probably would have been better if the pace was a little slower to allow basically anything more time to develop more naturally.

I adore Leigh Kelsey, she puts her heart and soul into each and every book she writes. This is a real dark twisted omegaverse and I’m so on board for it. Betrayal by family and pack is hell but Nix our FMC is helped by the Goddess and told to find her fate in the broken Alpha’s. Nix’s character despite being an omega really shows her determination not to be beat down anymore with inner strength and fire. Now where the pack is called broken alpha’s don’t take this lightly… these guys aren’t exactly all there especially Wild who is most definitely in my opinion the most broken of them all and the most complex of characters to figure out who he is because of just how broken he is. Kaan is the Alpha of the alpha’s strong, stubborn and holds back. Draven our strong silent one who normally can’t stand touch but can’t resist Nix. Then quite possibly my favourite crazy fully tattooed Bakkhos he’s a smitten kitten and I’m ever so slightly obsessed with his brand of crazy he’s adorable but his background is absolutely heartbreaking. Nix really brings a new dynamic to this pack and I honestly can’t wait to see what happens next especially with how things ended!

THE OMEGA'S WOLVES: A Rejected Mates Paranormal Dark Romance, Book 1 in the BROKEN ALPHAS Duet. Book 2: THE OMEGA'S MATES is available. I read both books in 3 days. I started book 2 as soon after I finished book 1. If you're a fan of Dark Romances than you will enjoy both of these fast-paced books.

Nixette Tulay is an Omega Wolf Shifter living with her pack. Her father is Alpha of this pack. She lives in her dad's house with her brothers. She is treated like their personal servant ever since her mom had died. She had always felt protected until today. She knew the blood moon was a bad omen, but never thought her very own father and brothers would drag her out of their home to sacrifice her to the wolves' goddess Luneste. Only Luneste was not happy when they killed the Omega. They are becoming rare and are females meant for breeding. So, she saves Nixette's life and returns her to her former life, her body whole and her soul intact. She gifts her with the magic of the moonlight, so she never would be helpless again. Also tells her: “Find the broken pack and the alpha of alphas; they are your fate.”

This had all that makes a good omegaverse, with maybe a touch of sweetverse. The beginning was dark, but after she found the new pack, it was mostly… ahem. You know. With a few bits of plot.

I think you need to keep in mind that in omegaverse, a lot of what happens is because of instinct even if they know what they do and do not want. This was very instinct-based, but there was some control. I think what makes this a little bit different than a regular a omegaverse is that there is a blessing given to the female main character, and we aren’t exactly sure what else it will entail after she has found her mates. There is a little bit of rejection, and we kind of get to know why but I’m sure it will be expanded on more in the next book.

We don’t learn a lot about her mates. We learn a little bit of their histories but I think more will be touched upon in the next book. I think (and hope) we will learn the purpose of this relationship, a bit of the goddess’ plan and what has been happening within different packs. This is a good first book to get to know the characters and some of the problems that have been occurring. Interested to see what the author does with book two.

Evil…that cliffhanger is evil, you can’t say all that and then end it...all the what-ifs?

What an interesting, steamy and unbelievable heartbreaking book, it’s a nice twist on the world of the omega, especially if you love these books...it takes down a different path of experiences.

The world is flawed, damaged, egotistical, and man orientated, they have set out to blame everyone else except themselves.

I’ve read a lot over the last year and this one up there, and I love it.

We see a lot of growth, the horrible way they struggle and the slow uphill to forming their trust, it does go into the shades of grey especially because of the very broken families, but the softness makes it all worthwhile.

The ending is definitely going to have more questions than answers, and like me, you will be needing the second book yesterday.

XOXO Lottie 💋

meh

This book was super repetitive and it got to a point where it was hard to believe no one (editor or alpha/beta readers) pointed out how repetitive the way the female lead kept referring to her alphas “the crazy alpha”, “ the alpha of alphas”, “ sharp alpha” “soft alpha”, it got super wordy and really obnoxious. For this reason, I don’t really know any of the guys’ names. I really wish this was a better developed story with storyline and characterization. I have no clue about the setting and am guessing it’s some British part because of the references to “crisps, boot (for trunk), and the pound fifty” I just needed less repetition, more depth, and a real plot. This book just needs an overhaul- little inconsistencies within the book- I guess I didn’t understand how no one but the readers are catching it.
