This is the third book in a rejected mate shifter romance trilogy by Olivia Concord, part of the REDFERN SHIFTERS universe.
MOON FEVER BOOK THREE
They’ll have to fight treachery, curses, and fate itself to stay together.
Stella knew it would be hard to live with the fated mate who’d rejected her, but she’d underestimated just how pleasurable it could be. Every day since returning to their pack, she’s fallen deeper in love with him.
But soon she uncovers secrets that suggest their fate is more complicated than either suspected. Unless they destroy the hidden threats, their mate bond could be broken forever. She can’t let that happen.
Just as Jasper realizes the depths of his feelings for Stella, the obstacles between them multiply. A rival pack is playing a long, violent game. Generations of bad luck might be an actual curse. And internal struggles continue threaten his young command as alpha.
Confident he’ll win in the end, Jasper gathers his allies and launches a plan. He’ll do what’s right for his pack, his mate, and his heart. Whatever it takes.
Both Stella and Jasper are prepared to do anything to stay together. But what if their biggest enemy is fate itself?
Redemption is a rejected-mate shifter romance filled with page-turning action, steamy love scenes, and a satisfying enemies-to-lovers romance.
This is the third and last book in the Moon Fever trilogy. There will be other titles in the Redfern Shifters universe, but Stella and Jasper’s romance will be resolved in this book.
Oh Boy, a LOT Can Happen in a Year … with the moon shining bright, choices have to be made. Battle-lines must be drawn. There will be winners, there will be losers. Might vs right. But when all is said and done, that ‘might’ may not be so mighty after all. In a game of ‘right and wrong’ and in a time where freewill challenges fate, one must wonder if Stella and Jasper have what it takes to set things straight. And that outcome could affect generations to come… just like that one fateful night did many, many, years ago.
When you read this story you’ll see just how the ‘sins of the fathers’ will go from child to child, pack to pack, for generations to come… UNTIL …
👁⌃👁 Observations:
✒︎ When Stella sets her mind to something, don’t try to get in her way. Just because you’re small doesn’t mean you’re weak … just sayin’.
✒︎ I love a good romantic suspense and Were books can be perfect for that. However, here, pages of lust in thought and deed get in the way of a good and exciting plot line. Example: Stella has important info to tell Jasper, but instead of telling him they let their lust get in the way. That information … which could have been lifesaving, was set aside to satisfy carnal desires.
For me, there was too much emphasis on bedroom scenes throughout . All those scenes get in the way of the suspense and romance…. a storyline with intrigue, action and drama doesn’t need padding with pages of intimate blockers. Thus 3 1/2 stars rather than five since I kept skipping pages to get to the real story.
✒︎ I normally don’t like Werewolf books with other shifters and/or witches. And yes, this one has both, but they don’t overpower the storyline. Their roles are crucial but not overbearing.
✒︎ Dee’s not sounding too innocent and Stella needs to talk, inform, discuss this with Jasper. Just why and how does Dee and her family ignore Alpha commands?
✒︎ Poor DaSilva, they keep putting him down as a cat, like a weak and measly kitty cat. Hmmmm, a lion is King of the jungle and earned that title for good reason …. I’m thinking a wolf wouldn’t stand a chance against a lion, one on one. I’m also thinking we’ll see more of that smooth talkin' kitten in future spinoffs.
I received an advance copy of this book via Booksprout and freely leave my personal thoughts and opinions in my review.
I really did like the second book in this trilogy, so I had high hopes for this final installment. It just didn’t quite hit the mark with me. The FMC, Stella, was kind of all over the place - at times pretty pragmatic and level headed, and sometimes she’s smack dab in the middle of TSTL territory. I found that I much preferred the MMC’s, Jasper, chapters. The book is told from dual POV, thank goodness.
As a character, Jasper was much more interesting and consistent in the last book and this one. While I didn’t really feel a connection to him in the first book, he won me over and I found that I really liked him. Even after he rejected Stella in book one, being able to get into his head about his ambivalence towards her and wanting her at the same time was good character development in book two.
There were a few plot twists I didn’t see coming, and a few that I did. So, kudos for the ones that were a surprise. I will admit that I am interested in the next trilogy in this universe of shifter characters this author has created. We were introduced to a strong secondary female character, Dee, in this trilogy. And it appears that the next series is her story . . . With the head of the local feline shifters (big cats), Simon. That ought to be fun. As far as recommendations go, I’d say if you like a lighter paranormal romance story, then you’ll probably like this. If you’re looking for dark themes and kinks, you won’t find it here. If you took out the sex scenes that were in the books, this would read like a Barbara Cartland romance, paranormal edition. Not that I’m knocking it. I absolutely loved reading Cartland books back in the day . . . Way back in the day. Lol.
Redemption is the third and final installment in the Moon Fever trilogy series by Olivia Concord. Jasper must balance leading the Redfern pack as Alpha and strengthening his fragile relationship with Stella. Of course, the fates aren’t going to make it easy for Jasper and Stella to find their happily-ever-after. Jasper feels the call of the moon fever (again) because Stella tried to break their bond with magic. Could fate really be so cruel to pair him with another?
The conclusion to Jasper and Stella’s story was quite the journey. I don’t want to say too much and give anything away but the couple get a sweet happily-ever-after. The steamy scenes were very well done and will make you crave more! I was also thrilled that Angela Cross was able to tell her truths. Overall, this was a good shifter series with delightful characters.
This book also sets up the characters that will be featured in the next Redfern pack trilogy.
This is the final book of the Trilogy and there is so many things going on. Stella is living with her fated mate who had originally rejected her, and she loves him. But Fate is not done with them yet. If they cannot remove the threats to their mate bond, it can break and never be restored.
Jasper also recognizes how much he loves Stella. But there are many external forces trying to pull them apart and destabilize the pack. Jasper makes a plan and is committed to doing whatever it takes for Stella and his pack. He has grown a great deal since all of this started and has become a good leader. But will they win the fight if Fate tears them apart?
Book 3 has everything you want to end this series. Stella and Jasper have been through it all. They need to fight together for their future. Is the curse real? They have to find their way to the truth and it comes from unlikely people. I could not put this book down. I was so excited to finish Stella and Jasper's journey that I read it in one day on vacation. Perfect series ending and now excited for the rest of the books. Cuz Simon.... whoooo.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Yep I definitely love the ending. This book was thrilling and pretty darn great! I gotta say, there was some pretty big surprises I wasn’t expecting but I still loved watching them unfold. And Stella and Jasper fighting for their love was awesome!!! Watching the whole plot and story lines unfold was amazing! I’m a fan!!!
overall it could've been a duet but this was such a great story and i loved watching stella and jasper's stories evolve and watch them grow emotionally
