Rachel Allen Everett (pen name Rae Allen) was raised by a pair of nerdy historians who instilled in her a lifelong fascination with history, archaeology, and storytelling. From the moment she could hold a pencil, she was creating illustrations to accompany her imaginative narratives.

She developed a passion for comics during high school, when her then-crush (now husband) lent her a copy of Hellboy. She went on to crowdfund and self-publish two comic projects as author/illustrator, including The Manderfield Devil, during college.

Working in a style that ranges from whimsical and bright to dark and moody, Rae’s work has since been published by Mad Cave Studios, Gold Key Comics, and Dark Horse Comics.

Rae is illustrator and co-author with Mike Mignola on the Hellboy miniseries Carmen Red Claw: Belly of the Beast. Other notable works include The Town with a Million Eyes in Boris Karloff's Gold Key Mysteries #2 from Gold Key Comics, and the children's comic Digital Lizards of Doom Vol. 5 from Papercutz.

Outside of comics, Rae also works in indie video games as co-art director of TetherGeist with O. and Co. Games.

She and her husband Noah currently reside in central Utah at the foot of the Rocky Mountains.

I really liked this. The illustrations we're beautiful and the story was interesting and fun in a creepy way. My only problem with it was the length. It was so short that I didn't get to fully appreciate the characters so I hope that this author does more and even does some long form stuff because I would love to read it.

Picked this up at Emerald City Comic Con and it was well worth it! Great story and illustrations. Glad I gave it a chance amongst the sea of comics.
