Yayyy! I'm so glad we got this book. Having been a hardcore fan of these two series (BearPaw and Hashtag) I was super psyched for this crossover, and it did not disappoint.
I feel like the main characters were Rimmel and Romeo, even though all theo ther couples were features. I'd wished to see a bit more of Trent and Drew... and am still hoping for another book of theirs, but anyway, the story was mainly about Rimmel and Romeo, and thankfully it was a real story. Like, things were happening besides them just hanging out. Which would have been totally fine, too, but also it's better if there's a plot, dontyathink?
I don't want to spoil what the plot is about. I just want to talk about the general atmosphere. I loved it. I loved the first snippet of them with all the kids, which kind of reassured the readers that this lot has not changed much through the years. Besides having multipled and made little adorable critters, the couples are still much in love, and all lovey dovey. Maybe unrealistic, but who cares, I loved it!
And then the vacation part started and it was nice to catch up with Alex, Sabrina, Liam and the ever-pregnant Bellamy (hehe, love these two). Every couple was very true to their essence, as well as every character too. The dynamics were pretty much the same among everyone as they had been in the past and I felt like that was mostly for the fans' enjoyment. We also got a little romance, between Daniel, Sabrina's brother, and a certain vet... :) It was cute, although a bit rushed honestly. I would like in the future to read more about them as a couple.
I only have one recrimination, which is why the last star fell, and that is that in the effort to capitalize on the features that characterize every single one of the characters dinstinctively, like Trent's protectiveness, Romeo's alpha-maleness and possessiveness, Rimmel's clumsiness etc, the result was that the characters were more stereotyped in the other books. I felt like the author laid it a bit too think when it came to those traits, to the point where every interaction was unsurprising and the characters acted just in response to their peculiar traits, and many types of interactions were also kind of repetitive. Like, for example, Romeo or B. getting possessive over their wives, or someone joking or being warned about Rim's clumsiness. Or Romeone constantly having to stop Rim from faceplanting. If in the previous books those happenings were sporatic and super cute, here I was like... again?
Don't get me wrong, though. I loved this novella to pieces and will be definitely reread it on snowy days when I need an injection of sugar and gooey feelings.
I loved this book. I have always loved Rome and Rimmel so it was nice to catch back up with them again. It was so nice to see how the whole Hashtag crew was doing. It gave me the feels. :-)
It’s never horrible to get more from some of my favorite characters. Such a great crossover novella. It warms my cold dead heart seeing everyone happy and with kids. So happy to read this one!
AHHH! When I heard about this book I went crazy (excited). A book mixing my 2 favorite Cambria series, yes pretty pls! And my goodness was it amazing. I had missed all these characters so much, old and newish. And I just want to thank Cambria for giving us what we wanted... Daniel getting his own story. It was fast but Cambria made it feel so damn right and it was the cuttest. I loved this book so so damn much. All my babies getting to know each other and exploring the Bear Paw resort, it was AWESOME!
A must read for Hashtag series/BearPaw series fans!! These two families came together & made one in the most entertaining and heartfelt way possible. Alex & Braeden had me laughing the whole time! Revisiting the love these couples share was like coming home after too long away! I loved every moment!
Oh wow what can I say about this book aside from I loved it? It's amazing. Thank you Cambria Hebert for bringing this amazing bunch of people together. This seriously is my favorite series ever. Adding the Bearpaw family even better. It was meant to be.
I even felt some tears coming up at times and now I have to re-read the series.
Just an awesome combo of the 2 series and we get a little quick HEA for Daniel. This book the author calls a gift to us readers at the end and it truly was. A sweet little story of all the "families" together and friends.
Note to Self: - Chapters 1-4 - Romeo and Rimmel’s POV - Chapter 5- Liam - Chapters 6-7 - Romeo and Rimmel - Chapter 8 - Bellamy - Chapters 9-11 Romeo and Rimmel - Chapter 12 - Daniel - Chapters 13-14 - Romeo and Rimmel - Chapter 15 - Daniel (meets Meredith - a vet who came over to look at the injured wolf) - Chapters 16-17 - Romeo and Rimmel - Chapter 18 - Daniel - Chapters 19-20 - Romeo and Rimmel - Chapter 21 - Daniel - Chapter 22 - Liam - Chapter 23 - Daniel - Chapter 24 - Romeo
Summary: - Romeo and fam already met Liam and he’s invited them to come to the resort - Rimmel goes tubing and her tube gets pushed off course and she gets tossed in the woods - There is a massive search party for her - An injured wolf saves her from another wolf - Daniel finds her - Daniel keeps the wolf (which turns out to be half wolf half dog) - Rimmel’s foot is broken - Daniel and the vet, Meredith, get together - Romeo flies the kids out to join them
Things I liked: - All the hashtag Characters and BearPaw characters becoming friends/family - The bits with Trent and Drew - Rimmel getting lost (this bit of the novella was probably my favourite) - Romeo
Things I didn’t like: - There wasn’t enough Trent and Drew - Daniels HEA happened too quickly. We know nothing about Meredith and we barely had anytime to feel their chemistry.
Final Thoughts: Although it was nice to see all these characters get together and merge the two series it felt more like one of those spin off episodes that tv shows do to introduce you to a new show. They shove in the characters you know and love but only just enough to get you to watch and then next thing you know you’re favourite characters are gone and theres all these new characters you need to get to know... not that this is a bad thing but you really only came to see your favourites, ya know? It seemed like Rimmel getting lost was just a way to lead up to Daniel meeting Meredith and then we didn’t even really get to see much of their relationship develop because it was just a novella. At the end of BearPaw I did want to know what would happened to Daniel so I can't really complain too much since she gave us what we wanted! Having said that, I didn’t hate this. I think I was just hoping for more Trent and Drew and as such was left wanting more. ****Cambria did release a bonus holiday scene of Trent and Drew getting a Christmas tree (I LOVED THIS). It can be found here: http://elenasbookblog.com/christmas-s... ********

My first experience with Cambria Hebert's books was the BearPaw Resort series, and I really liked them and breezed through them as quick as I could. So I was pretty damn excited when I saw that there would be a crossover between the #Hashtag series and BearPaw. In fact, it's the main reason I kept going through the books that weren't my favorites, and I'm so glad I didn't give up. This was a fun book!
Romeo, Rimmel, Braeden, Ivy, Trent, and Drew all head out for a #Vacay at the BearPaw resort 🏂🏽, where they are greeted by Liam and Bellamy and Alex and Sabrina. I'm not going to give away what happens in this book, but if you know any (or all) of these couples, you know there's going to be hijinx and some drama, and I'm happy to say that the characters stayed true and it was just awesome.
Getting the glimpse into the future of all the couples was the best. This will be spoilery if you haven't read the rest of the series, but I loved finding out about all the kids and I loved how much of their personalities was infused in here.
I glanced down at London. "You can look like Mommy all you want, but how about taking on my reflexes, huh?"
😂😂😂
It was great catching up with especially Liam and Bellamy, too. Also, I love the cover. Filmstrips are my fave, so I definitely liked the glimpses on this cover.
If you haven't read the BearPaw Resort series, I think you'd be fine with this book. But I definitely think you would be a little lost or not really care about what's going on with these crazy people. With that being said, I think you would want to read it anyway just for more about the resort and especially checking in with Liam and Bellamy and Alex's parents. 🍫 Just know the drama and seemingly overreaction on Romeo's and Braeden's parts are the norm for them. 😊
#Vacay is a novella with all the beloved characters from the Hashtag and BearPaw Resort series and it's a sweet gift from the author to the fans.
It's been years since I have discovered the Hashtag series and I still feel these characters like close friends. I can't get enough of them and I have the same warm feelings for this family of friends. It is also nice getting back with the BearPaw couples and the author has a little surprise -new love story for us.
Everyone has moved on with their lives adding kids to the mix but they still are the fun, adorable couples. As we know Rimmel is a quirky, clumsy girl no matter how much time has passed so she brings chaos to their vacation.
They have their ups and downs, they go through much but these characters are more in love than ever and their sweetness can't be contained.
This book has the two worlds collide but everything is so balanced, that everything comes naturally. Cambria Hebert has the talent of making you invest in her characters so it's always a pleasure to get back to them and see how they live their happily ever after.
I could read more stories about them forever and ever!
This slayed - sleighed (the winter edition of slayed) - SLAYED ME!!!
From the first chapter, my feels just went splat! Right in the snow! And I couldn't gather them until I finished the whole thing!
I loved Rimmel and Ivy saying they needed the female solidarity against all the men outnumbering them. I love Drew and Trent being shy, adorable, and epic! And Rome and Braeden's bromance is still BOSS. ALLLL the kids!! How dare you overwhelm us all with the major cuteness factor!!! Omg!!!
Rimmel is clumsy, tiny, and fierce, and I love how her and Rome swallow up the Bear Paw family and add it to theirs. I love that we got to see more of Daniel. And I love that he got a pet - of course, Rimmel, of course - that reflects his personality: loyalty, protective, graceful, and the woman that could take care of them both.
I love Alex's parents! And Charlie! And Liam still being salty that Charlie loves Bellamy more now. *snorts*
This was just perfect! So much more than I could ever have expected. So awesome!! <3
After being in a reading slump for the past few months, I was excited to see that one of my favorite authors was putting out a book with some of my most favorite characters of hers. Added bonus that it is a crossover book with characters that I had yet to read about. So of course I had to buy their books before reading this. If you haven't already read the Bearpaw Resort series please do so. Since the main characters are a part of this story. Had I not I would've been confused. This book was a great way to catch up with the happenings with the characters in both series. It's more light hearted than either series, meaning no drama like those. But I does keep you interested. I honestly think this has broken my readers slump and I can't wait to see what's next from Cambria Hebert
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this Novella. I loved the crossover between #Hashtag Series & BearPaw Resort Series. The multiple POV’s were a nice touch and loved getting more of the #Hashtag family and the BearPaw Resort family, I just wish it was a bit longer. Daniel eventually found Rimmel on the Mountain as she’d gone off course while Tubing so everyone was looking for her. Daniel is shocked that she was being protected by a wolf and Rimmel being Rimmel she eventually talks him into taking the wolf with them so she can be treated by the vet since she’s hurt, which he did and actually ended up bonding with the Wolf whose now named Riley. Daniel and the Vet end up getting together and their heated looks are pretty hot but I would’ve liked a longer timeline so we get to see them fall in love. I’d definitely recommend this book, both series, universe and author to everyone.
This short story is a mash up of our beloved Hashtag series and the BearPaw Resort. Romeo has decided to surprise the fam with an adult only vacation after meeting Liam an event. The gang is all on board, except Rim has some reservations about leaving her kids.
The two families mash up so well that it seems like they have known each other forever. When someone goes missing and gets hurt, an injured animal needs saving, the press gets involved, and Alex's parents fall in love with everyone else, this vacation will sure be one that wont be forgotten anytime soon.
This was an awesome novella that I could see extending on. Both families are so damn lovable it's hard to close the book on them.
In all, I have to admit that this was an excellent book. I love the characters and had a lot of fun with this in this short but sweet novella. I would have loved to have given it a 5 star rating, but felt that the under-developed nature of Daniel and Meredith's relationship prevented it. That said, I absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for great "feel-good" read. I do however caution, that this is NOT a stand-alone novel. And really should be read after reading at the very least, the #Hashtag series. As a final note, I will be adding the BearPaw Resort series to my own reading list, as I am hoping to spend a little more time getting to know Liam and his family.
Lord have Mercy on my poor heart. This is seriously the best crossover I've ever read. I've always love # series, and BearPaw quickly became a favorite as well. Add them all together and dang the bromances are just amazing. I mean Romeo, Braeden, Drew, Trent, Liam and Alex all in one place. Its fantastic.
I adore that it was kept light with just a little drama. It was so cute seeing them all interact. It definitely needs to be read by all Beat Paw lovers and # lovers!
I love the hashtag and Bear Paw series and this brings them both together in the best way possible. What better way to spend a vacation then with family and new friends. I loved re visiting with Romeo, Rimmel and family. All the characters just fell into place with one another and they all acted like they have been friends forever. I’m the last book of the Bear Paw series most readers wanted to read more about Daniel. If you are one of those readers like I was you will not be disappointed.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first #Nerd (Hashtag, #1) #Hater (Hashtag, #2) #Player (Hashtag, #3) #Selfie (Hashtag #4) #Poser (Hashtag #5) #Heart (Hashtag #6) #Holiday (Hashtag #6.5) #Bae (Hashtag, #7)
Roman has planned a trip for the family. He expects lots of fun and good times. What he didn’t count on was Rimmel getting lost. She has to be rescued and when she is there are a few surprises along the way. They meet lots of new friends and have a great time after she is rescued.
You know when you stalk Amazon for a book release you have a problem. I li e Cambria Hebert's #Hashtag series as well as the Bear Paw series. I could not wait to see what kind of shenanigans both of those families got into.
This was an adorable novella and while short (it is a novella, ya know) it was still packed with the characters I love and a little drama! Definitely worth the wait.
I love Cambria Hebert and loved both these series individually and I enjoyed the mash-up. The only thing that bothered me about the book was how often they referred to eachother as family. Every single scene they called each other "brother", "sister", or "family" every couple of sentences. We all understand they they are more family than friends, it just got really obnixous and overdone for me in this book.
I guess the reason I dont like these novellas is I just dont like Romeo and Rimmel much. I know these are supposed to make me look onto their lifes but I dont want to. Well actually i kinda want to but i dont want their POV anymore because they pretty boring. I would love to read this from Drew and Trents POVbut i would settle for Ivy and Brad too.
Also they are way too much possessive. You dont get jealous of the relationship with your wife and their brother. You just dont. Thats just wrong.
What do you get when you bring 12 favorite book characters together and put them all in one novel?? A fabulous fun adventure That makes you yearn for more! I loved having Rimmel ,Romeo, Bearden and Ivy together with Liam and Alex and the rest of the group. Thank you Cambria Hebert for this wonderful funny exciting novella! I miss the hashtag group so much !
I just finished and my heart is beyond full. I loved every moment of this book. From Rimmel being clumsy to Bells being independent. B’s sarcasm to Alex and Liam making inside jokes. If you haven’t read the Hashtag or Bear Claw series this book will still show love, Family and laughter. Do NOT miss out on this book. (Just my opinion)
It was great getting to catch up with all the different characters and seeing where they are at this point in their lives. I enjoyed the crossover because we got to see the similarities Liam/Romeo and Alex/Braeden had and poor Rimmel she is just so clumsy lol it made verything entertaining.
This was the best surprise! The Hashtag and Bearpaw series are two of my favorite series and this mashup was amazing! The love, family, romance and bromance was everything you come to expect from Cambria. I only wish it could’ve been longer, but I will take these beloved characters any way I can get them.
How can you go wrong when you get to read a crossover novella of your three favorite series and two favorite families?!?! Having just read Subzero before launching into #VACAY.... I was entirely consumed in the world of Bear Paw Resort.... getting to see my favorite characters collide was exactly what I wanted Santa to bring this year!!!
