Angelic Academy #2

Tainted Bonds

Rate this book
This can't be happening. Of all people, please don’t let it be him.

Mean girls at school and assholes at home, I could handle. None of that mattered because I had two of the most amazing mates by my side.

That is, until the universe decided to throw me for a twisted loop and fated me to my biggest tormentor.

Taking matters into my own hands in the heat of the moment, I end up in more pain than I can imagine.

Now I have to figure out how to go about life while nursing a broken bond.

Thankfully, Zed and Leo are there to ease the ache, reminding me of my worth.

Everything is changing. Enemies are becoming more vicious as secrets come to light.

With my path rapidly changing, where will I end up? Or should I say, who will I end up with? Demons take on many mates, how many will stand by my side? And will they be my downfall?

Angelic Academy isn't as pure as it claims to be, and I plan on exposing them sooner or later.

I'm Abigail Morningstar, and I won't bow down to anyone.

It was good, not great. I did not think this book was as good as book 1, unfortunately. Nothing really happened for about 15 chapters, and then all of this plot happened super quickly and was very rushed.

I feel a little like I'm reading about 2 romance stories--Abby, Leo, and Zed being 1 romance, and then Isaac, Noah, and Luke being the other. I read a lot of RHs, and many of those have MM, but I'm getting a little tired by how this series is handling the MM. The anti-gay angels plotline is being dragged a bit. The dialogue between characters is also pretty rushed, particularly at the end, and it doesn't really read like real people talking.

Also, I'm sad that once again, I cannot differentiate Noah and Luke at all. All of their dialogue is interchangeable, and they have no defining characteristics or personalities. I can't even remember what either of them is supposed to look like. They're basically the same character and barely have any scenes without the other one present. It's annoying--I'd rather only have 1 of them if that's going to be the case, but as I mentioned earlier, I think the primary objective for them as characters is to be part of Isaac's character development/Isaac's sidekicks.

Zed and Leo continue to be the best. I love Leo using his powers on Isaac at inconvenient times as punishment for being mean to Abby--genuinely made me laugh out loud.

I'm pretty ambivalent about Abby--she's fine. I love that her dad, aka the devil, has such a soft spot for her. I also loved Zack in this book.

It's crazy that the villain, Michael, has only had like 1 scene in each of the books so far. Hoping that Abby's mom has a bit more of a backbone moving forward too. She seems completely oblivious.

Not sure if I'll read the next book. I guess I might give it a try and hope that the relationships/plot progress more.

An angelic why-choose academic romance!
This book has MF & MMM scenes with FF from next book onwards :-D

I devoured this in like 4hrs! I skipped halves of starting chapters as I'd been only "checking out" but then I got hooked. This book started us off with a bang, how could I wait?! I've read enough that I understand the story, the twists were amazing, so I'm adding this to read! I thought I'll do better this year but again, I'm starting reading series from middle ugh. This book had me so excited for the next one, I'm writing reviews for this series after binging it!

As I skipped the book 1 with the major bullying (😔), world-building & characters. I was getting a feel for 'em all here. It's a pretty simple but interesting world. The MCs were fun, ngl Noah & Leo seem similar personality wise lol. The chemistry & sexy tense undertones is so hot 😍🥵.

Abby is the powerful daughter of Lucifer, she's so sweet & kind, dangerous if you hurt her beloved! Leo (sweet bestie incubus) & Zed (protective dark angel) are amazing, sexy, understanding mates! I just loved this trio's relationship & honesty!

This is contrasted with Issac's (Abby's stepbro) relationship with Luke (flirty, jokester) & Noah (not so innocent cutie). Their love & friendship is beautiful, it has fought storms. Can it this one? Abby's angel bullies, so on our shit list, but Luke & Noah come a long way here! I'm glad they saw how wrong they were.

But dang, Isaac is such a bitchy asshole tho, I was literally waiting for him to fess up everything! Hurt people hurt. I'm just glad it happened here—ahh the anticipation—as book 3 blurb said it. I'd've hurt Issac way more than Zed 😅. Plus, Yes mates ✨.

The emotions & angst are high in this one with 1 trio thriving while 2nd one hurting 🥺. And Isaac basically amping up the angst 😅. Rejection hurts! I hate his dad SO FREAKING MUCH😠! Also ugh, the MMM's fiancees 😤. The climax is glorious 😍🥺. Zed's birthday is awesome 🤭.

I adore Alishas writing, and I already love this series so much. I love all the connections in this group and just how much they all love Abby (and yes, that includes you, Issac!) As well as the underlining story of not judging, and the hypocriticalness of how a religion can love everyone, while simultaneously casting out those they don't agree with. Love is love, and no God or omnipotent presence judges that.💜

This book picks up right where the first one left off, with Abby realizing that Issac is her mate as well. Knowing full well what he's going to do, she beats him to the punch and rejects their mate bond, which creates a world of hurt for them both. Leo and Zed both try to be there for their mate and protect her from that pain as well as reminding her that they love her unconditionally-- and they both prove that over and over again. These two seriously have my heart and I just adore the way they are with Abby!

Luke and Noah make big strides here as well, both of them breaking free from all of the pain and BS Issac has put them through and become closer to Abby. I can't wait to see how their connection deepens in the next book!

As for Issac, I had a feeling what his big secret was and that's why he acts the way he does, and though it doesn't excuse the things he does to hurt those he loves, I still want to give him a big hug. He has a lot to make up, and I can't wait to see how he makes that happen.

Now I have a big theory that Abbys dad (ya know, the king of hell) didn't actually kill the angels wives, but it was them instead. I could he way off base, but we all know how sketchy they are. Plus I love the parallels Alisha makes into real life about how the most pious and religious folks being the most corrupt. Plus that cliffy made me book three now!

Don't miss out on this series yall! It's sooo freaking good!

**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions**

Get ready for an emotional gut punch right from the start! Wow, Alisha brought the angst up to 11 with this one. I love the push/pull between rejected mates, and this whole book was a front-row seat to the fallout from Abby and Isaac’s broken bond.

Poor Abby. Fate has played a cruel game, tying her to the person who has been her lead tormentor the entire time she has been earthside. However, with the pain of the rejected bond, Abby gets closer to the mates she has accepted and starts developing friendships with Noah and Luke, who are pulling away from Isaac as he dissolves further into anger and hate. It was so deliciously decadent watching his fall from grace, even as Abby found ways to keep her head held high despite the pain.

The steam remains high in this book. I feel like there are two distinct mate groups – Abby, Leo, and Zed forming a MFM, with Luke, Noah, and Isaac forming a MMM. You can expect single pairings within the groups, as well. There is explicit MM.

As the book progresses, the shiny façade of the pure-blooded angels starts showing cracks, reaching a critical point right as we finish those last few pages. So, be prepared for a cliffy. I cannot wait for the next book.

This series is phenomenal. Abby is my favorite kind of fmc, strong but not overly independent, sweet but not a pushover, kind and not afraid to be exactly who she is. Zed and Leo are amazing, I adore them both. The way they love Abby is serious goals. Noah and Luke, well they weren’t my favorite for sure but they have worked their way in. I’m glad they got over themselves and stopped being jerks to Abby for no good reason. Isaac has my heart breaking, he’s been so awful but ultimately it was for his mates’ protection and I have a hard time holding a grudge over that. I really really hope he gets his stuff together and realizes what he’s missing out on. This ending isn’t exactly what I’d class as a cliffhanger, more just a leave you wanting more now speed bump. Lol highly recommend!!!

This is the second book in the angelic academy series and it is right in the feels with how book one left off.

With one mate rejected and hurt for Abby she is trying to muddle through and carry on.
Everything is not as it seems and the pieces are getting put together and more mates are found for Abby.
I loved the character development of Luke & Noah and how they are embracing being happy and not just accepting their fate.

Also Leo and his powers 🌝🔥🔥

Another amazing cliffhanger and cannot wait for book three and everything is not as it seems, I was surprised I wanted to cuddle Isaac by the end of this book instead of pluck his little pure blood wings away 💀

I absolutely love Abby. She is such a strong and genuine person, and isn't afraid to be vulnerable. Even though this book tore at my heart strings, she still had her two mates there for her. Leo and Zed are just perfection. Their relationship with Abby develops and their devotion to her was just beautiful. I don't know how to feel about Isaac, he has a lot of weight on his shoulders and is just trying to protect his mates, which just pushes them further away. Noah and Luke definitely had major development in this book, they realized that they can form their own opinions, and children aren't responsible for their parents' actions. It was filled with suspense, angst, drama, and spice! There is a lot to unpack in this book, especially with the twists and turns, I can't wait to find out more!

Tainted Bonds book 2 in the Angelic Academy kicked of with a bang. Brutal as it was. Abby is a badass. She's a genuine person and and believes in holding the person accountable, not mistakes of the parent or God. I like that it's made clear a number of times that the behaviour v.s. beliefs system is flawed and that not abiding the dogma won't get a soul sent to Hell. This like many of Alisha's books breaks down old testament thinking and punishment by changing the rhetoric into something of love and acceptance. I love a good cliff hanger and I can't wait uncover more secrets.

Anyone else try to turn the page at the end?? I need more!
Maybe an unpopular opinion but I’ve wanted to give Isaac the biggest hug since the end of book 1. Now my hearts broken for him at the end of Tainted Bonds. However, he also needs to grovel for his fucking life. I love that Abby knows what she wants & isn’t afraid to disagree and make it known! I can’t wait for more, and to see how the relationships develop. Intrigued to see Noah & Luke find their place!

Also hoping for more Francesca, she seems bad ass. Basically I want to live in this book!

The cliffhanger Queen strikes again! I have been dying for this book and now I'm impatiently waiting for the next! Gosh my heart breaks for Isaac, I cried so much at the end. He carries so much weight of the world on his shoulders when he shouldn't. It's not right what Michael is doing, I really want to know his end game and I can't wait for Abby's dad to show up on Christmas! I can't wait! This series is freaking amazing! ❤️❤️❤️

Heck yea this was a freaking fantastic book! I was a very lucky lady and managed to be gifted an ARC of this and f**k yea I’m glad because again FREAKING EPIC!

Such a great and easy read,I literally read this book in a few hours and I don’t think I even put it down!

Great story line and well written!

let’s face it Micheal is always the evil one! I can’t wait to see where this story takes us and I have no idea where it’s going, I do hope we get a HEA for Abby and her harem (All of them) and I hope Abby’s mum is actually good, I’d also quite like to see if the big man (GOD) himself also comes in to play?

So as you can guess I’m rather look forward to the next book in the series!

🙌🏻 all done Alisha Williams what a masterpiece!

I kept swiping at the end of this book thinking, no that can't be it. More please! This series is everything and I love every minute reading it. Abby is an awe-inspiring character. She's not afraid to be herself and doesn't care what people think of her. She's also so understanding in wanting to support what Noah and Luke have between them and even Issac towards the end. Leo and zed are just the sweetest and deserve every happiness. I can't wait to see what unfold in the next book with that cliffhanger and the secrets and whispers... Well more like shouting behind closed doors. Such an amazing read!

So so good!! I’m loving this non conventional PNR RH. Angles, demons, and the perfect mix of the two, who could ask for anything more! I felt so much for Issac in this. Yes he’s said and done some terrible things to Abby but reading his emotional struggles was heartbreaking. I am so curious to know what exactly Micheal is planning. I can’t wait for more!

Man. This story development has me hooked. I legit finished this book in 3 hours, I could not get enough. The emotional trauma these characters are living through at the moment is so heartbreaking. But the underlying story Alisha has here 😈😈😈 is genius. I love it.

Can we not with the « God doesn’t love gays ». I don’t mind paranormal but religious? No thank you.

I didn’t really like this sequel.
It dragged a bit and it was basically the same story as the first book. Isaac’s hatred towards Abby got old really fast.
I hate him to be honest. He’s not a good person and no matter how awful his life is, it’s no excuse to cheat on the loves of your life.
I don’t mind Luke and Noah but they don’t need Abby as a mate. Them being together is enough.
I don’t feel any chemistry between them and Abby.

I’m really confused about Mikael. In the first book, Isaac says he loves his father and misses him. They seem to have a good relationship. Absolutely no mention on « what happens behind closed doors » but then in this one the first thing he mentions is how his father is different behind closed doors (which doesn’t leave a lot of mystery, the reader knows what happens). Why write the character like a nice one in the first book and then change your mind in this one? Really weird and confusing writing choice.

This is my second series from this author and she has a pattern for her heroines. All bark no bite. Abby let her mates fight her battles for her. Huge inner monologues about how she can protect herself but she never acts on it and her mates solve her problems. She has powers she can protect herself! DO IT!

Why do I feel like God is going to be in the last one? I want more Lucifer, he’s amazing and I’m sure he didn’t kill the mothers!

- FMC: Abby
- MMC's: Leo, Zed, Isaac, Luke, Noah
- POVs Included: Multiple POVs (Abby, Zed, Leo, Isaac, Luke)

-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
SUMMARY: (SPOILER WARNING)

Abby has two perfect mates. But now she has another mate (Isaac) who she rejected before he could reject her. Isaac continues to be cruel and hateful towards her. But his friends (and other mates) Luke and Noah are a different story. And she suspects they might be her mates too, but she's scared to touch them to find out.

In the meantime Isaac is hiding a lot of pain as he pushes away one mate and tries to protect the other two. And their dads (Michael in particular) seem to be up to something fishy.

-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
REVIEW:

A good follow up. Intense in places. Steamy in others. Sweet and yet sour. Lots of emotions.

The toxicity of Isaac is difficult for me. On the one hand I know he's been abused and scared, but I also hate that he's let his father's hatred bleed through him to those around him. I feel terrible for how he's treated Luke and Noah. And of course he's been a monster to Abby for seemingly no reason. It's going to be hard to forgive him when the time comes. I feel bad for him and his pain, but I hate the pain he's caused.

I am glad how Abby's relationship with Luke and Noah progressed and got better before they found out about being mates officially.

Zed and Leo continue to impress me with their protectiveness and understanding. They are absolutely perfect mates. I honestly would love to see a little something form between them too. There's definitely a bromance going on, but nothing more at the moment. We will see.

And Abby continues to impress me. I am happy she is always open and honest with her mates. I love her confidence and compassion. She's just great. Love her and she deserves all the happiness.

I'm curious how this all turns out. I'm a little bummed to learn there's a fourth book not out yet that I didn't know was coming. I typically try to wait to read cliffhanger-y kind of series back-to-back so I can binge them without the cliffhanger withdrawals. That was a mistake on my part because I'm usually better at keeping track of that. So at this point I will probably have to re-read them when I go to read the rest of the books. Oh well.

Overall I'm just really enjoying this series. It's really entertaining, well-written, has good character building, and sexy awesome guys. Loving it!

Update: I actually heard the next one has a pretty big cliffy so I'm just probably gonna wait to read it when the series is finally done. Boo. But I'm still looking forward to it when the time comes.

I am so pissed off at this Author...

So, before I start a book or series, I check the TW/CW, and thus one mentioned bullying, spice, and it also warned that there would be MM in the series. I love an RH with some MM mixed in, however, I do NOT like FF at all. FF is a complete turn-off for me. I don't really know why I like MM but not FF. I wasted my time reading books 1 & 2. Why warn readers about MM, but say nothing about FF? The moment Abby runs into the female vampire in hell, I knew she had just found another mate. I went to the reviews to double-check that I was right, and I was. If I had known this series would have FF later on, I never would have read it. I also believe there should have been a warning that the Author was going to talk sh*t about God. As a Christian, I'm not okay with that. I tend to stay away from books that have God and the devil in them because often the author will try to make the devil look like a not-so-bad kind of guy, which is a bald-faced lie. I felt that Alisha brought politics into this series with some of the MMCs regarding gay people. This whole 'why God would be mad that three men were fated to be together'. It's like the Author was laser-focused on the gay aspect of this. Politics should never be brought into a PNR. Like I said earlier, I'm more than fine with having MM in an RH, but not when the Author spends so much time focusing on only that. I don't like Isaac to the point that I don't believe he should be forgiven. I don't like that Zed stoops to Isaac's level and belittles him, and goes out of his way to say cruel things to Isaac. Isaac certainly deserves it, but it would be better, in my opinion, to be the better man instead of antagonizing him. In a way, Zed bullies Isaac just as much as Isaac bullies Abby, which doesn't sit right with me. We all know by now that Isaac has been abused since he was a child by his father. It's likely one of the reasons that he lashes out at people closest to him, though that doesn't make it right. It drives me crazy when an Author does not give a decent physical description of the FMC, which is exactly what happened here. I got bits and pieces of what she looks like, but one thing that was never covered was the length and shade of her blonde hair. Several times, it's mentioned that Abby was in good shape, but at one point, Zed says she has "thick" thighs, and I'm left wondering which is it? I have learned not to trust the book covers because they can often be misleading, and other times they are outright lies.

If you are a Christian, I would suggest that you skip this series.

gonna cut right to the chase.

*may contain slight spoilers*

I still don't like Isaac. He's annoying asfc and frankly he doesn't deserve Abby, Noah, and Luke. I know there's the fact that his father abuses him, but seriously? The way he treats his mates is horrible. One can only hope he isn't an asshole in the next book because I'll swing at someone fr.

Noah and Luke grew on me <3333 The way they love and would do anything for each other is so wholesome and... just ugh. so. perfect. I truly feel for what they're going through! I even got a bit emotional when they would talk about Isaac. Like, these two are my babies, and I just want to hold them and tell them everything will be okay. I love how they eventually knew their worth and didn't give a fuck what the others thought. I'm hoping they come out next!

Leo & Zed. LEO. AND. ZED. There's still amazing! They do nothing wrong in my eyes! I worship these two. I just love love love how Zed is always there for Abby. Seriously, someone looks at her the wrong way and he's there. Someone speaks to her the wrong way and he's telling them to chill tf out. Someone touches her and he's ready to kill. Maybe I shouldn't like how possessive and controlling that is because Abby can definitely handle herself, but he just makes it hot yk? AND LEOOOOOO<3333 words cannot describe how amazing he is. He's supportive, protective, caring, funny. He's always doing what's best for Abby and puts her first before him and everyone else. I know a relationship shouldn't always be like that but it's cute how he puts her before anything else. I wish I had that.

And Abby. This girl. She is fierce and I adore her. I like how in this book she doesn't just act tough, she shows her emotional and sensitive side. Shes not afraid to speak up or talk about her feelings. Especially with her mates. She's always telling the truth which is admirable! And when her devil side popped up like "heyyyy" I WAS LIKE, THAT'S FUCKING RIGHT!!!!

The story is fast-paced and entertaining. It keeps you on your toes from beginning to end, and it starts of exactly where it left off. The pieces are slowly coming together and I can't even imagine what is going to happen next.

I seriously hate cliffhangers.

TB doesn't contain too much spice (2/5)& it's dual pov! Check trigger warnings!

This is a series so make sure to read Tainted Wings first!

too religious

I really love Angels/Demons books , but I love supernatural books. This book is extremely based on religious views and I really don’t like it.
Let’s start with the fact that angels acts like some religious fanatics . Why? Why angels worship god by using Christianity ? This makes 0 sense , arcangels are thousands years older than all of the religions and bible, so please do explain to me how someone that is thousands years older that’s religions , starts worship god by using human religion. It makes absolutely no sense!!
I’am not religious person but I very much disliked that it was “ Christianity” chosen as angel’s religion, there’s so many religions to worship god and when you write book about angels who’s older than all of them, chose only one feels wrong.
Abbie is extremely week character , I can’t believe she’s half demon half pure angel, she all talks but does nothing, no one respects her , no wonder she’s mated to so many people because she has 0 back bone and she needs all of them to stand up for her. Lucifer made good choice to not ask her anymore to rule by his side, how can she rule when even servants in hell don’t respect her. Simply week.
You think when you treated your whole life by both side like this you’ll grow up strong, but no, many times it seemed like she was extremely sheltered and spoiled.
Dirty scenes… all those so called dirty talks make me cringe more than once, there was more sweating than actual dirty talking, strongly lack of maturity.
In book 2 I started feel like I’am reading very immature book full of teenage drama and while I know by age main characters is still young, but from angels and demons I expected more , especially since this is not YA book.
There was more than once that I noticed author mixed up her scenario. In first book Michael and Isaac had nice relationships, in this they were horrible, turns out he was abused .
Abbie said her mother rejected Lucifer, yet later on in book Lucifer says he doesn’t know how Abbie feels about rejection as he never felt anything like this, which means he says he never was rejected. So which was it?!
This book had big potential if whole religious and bible stuff would be removed, add some maturity and give Abbie a back bone!!
I have these series second chance but the further you read the more religious it becomes and the less sense everything makes. Sorry but you lost me with this book and I’am definitely not reading book 3.

Angelic Academy is a fun series and book 2 started with a bang. It takes up right where book 1 leaves off, when Abby realises that Isaac is her mate. Needless to say, it doesn’t go over well. The majority of the story here is both Abby and Isaac, as well as their mates dealing with the ramifications of that revelation.

I love Abby. She’s such a feisty, badass but she remains a sweetheart at the same time. No matter what these “pure bloods” throw at her, she doesn’t let it make her jaded and bitter.

Isaac on the other hand, is a jerk. He has, admittedly, gone through a lot and we finally get all the details but he let all the fear and anger turn him mean and bitter. None of what he went through was a surprise, I guessed that particular plot point early on in book one. That didn’t stop the events from being impactful. Isaac, will hopefully learn to lean on his mates and maybe because a better person in book 3.

Noah and Luke came a long way in this book. They realized that they need to form their own opinions and not just follow Isaac’s lead, even if he is their mate.

Zed and Leo are still the sweetest supportive mates and I loved the attitude they gave Abby’s mom at Thanksgiving.

There was the odd occasion where I felt the author was using sex as a plot device and/or filler. Don’t get me wrong the spicy scenes are smoking, the author definitely knows how to bring the heat. But occasionally, I wanted more plot or maybe for the plot to move a little faster.

That being said, this was a wonderful book, with twists and turns and I can’t wait to find out what the dads have done and watch them get their comeuppance.

If you love paranormal, reverse harem, with fates mates, this is definitely a series worth reading.

I LOVE this series! I was SO excited when this book came out; I couldn’t read it fast enough! Be prepared to get emotional and maybe even ugly cry. I adore Abby, the FMC. She’s strong and independent, yet sweet and soft at the same time. Her heart is full of love to give if only her life wasn’t in such turmoil. Her dad is the devil and even having grown up in H*ll she remains balanced somewhere between good and bad. Abby briefly takes a trip back home—and I love her conversation with Dad, the devil himself. He has a soft spot for his baby girl that no one else sees but is very sweet.

Zed and Leo are amazeballs! I love how protective they are over her, and how they genuinely care for her and want her happy and safe. I also LOVE how Leo messes with Issac because of how he treats Abs. It’s hilarious, I almost laughed out loud a few times. Noah and Luke have grown on me in this book, I’m excited to see how their relationships with Abby progress. Isaac is a totally different story. Talk about a meanie ***h*le, I mean d*mn, does he need to treat Abby like she’s the scum of the earth even after everything that has happened? The answer in his mind is apparently, yes. He needs to get his nonsense together and learn to live his life outside of his dad’s strict edicts.

This book will make you laugh, cry, scream, and possibly throw your Kindle—don’t recommend this, but beware of the possibility 😂. Alisha never ceases to amaze me with the stories she creates, and I cannot wait for the next book!! If you are a fan of why choose, angel/devil stories, a nasty stepbrother, bullying, yummy spice—HOT, so hot—this is a series you need to pick up. I love it and after that cliffy, I’m dying for more!

Heartbreaking/Soulcruching/Emotional

I was sooooo excited to read this book since the cliffhanger of book 1 was too much. I was patiently waiting (not really) to read this book.

Abby she went through a lot in this one thank God or Hell that she had Zed and Leo because wow sometimes It was too much and I wanted to jump in the book and slap some sense into one character in particular oh I did wanted to do that so so many times...

Leo and Zed they are amazing I love them so much. They are perfect exactly what Abby needs they are there alway for her. They are super understanding and they don't make her feel bad about the decisions she makes. Perfection.

Noah and Luke I had mixed feeling about them in book 1 now on book 2.... I love them they are getting to my heart. I want more of them. I want to know more I need them more.

Isaac... what can I say... I know that I'm going to love you soon but even now thag I hate you. I feel for you..I feel that Isaac is carrying a load bacause all the pressure his father is putting in him. Also he doesn't know how to express his feelings. So I may like you a little bit.

The sexy time was chef kiss hot, sweet and steamy. I want more.

I love the relationship that Abby had with her Dad that no matter what he is there for her. I love it.

The side character are so well writen that you want to know more about them.

The plot was perfect It got me reading the book so fast. The twist and turns were on point. The end was intence and I want to know more. I can't wait for next one.

I Loved this book from start to finish, book 1 left me with a severe book hangover, and I couldn't wait for the next one to come out.... that ending!! The book picks up where the last one left off, with Isaac and Abby realising they are mates. Still, Abby can't take no more hurt and kicks him where it hurts by rejecting his ASS ( YESS, look, I know I'm going to love him the most at the end of this series, but I HATE that I feel sorry for him right now). I envy the love between Leo, Abby and Zed; they are so understanding and try to be there for Abby every step of the way, and they both prove their love repeatedly. These two are everything an RH romance needs.

I'm still determining Luke and Noah, as they are too invested in Isaac. They shouldn't be running into a relationship with Abby right away is a good idea, and suddenly be in love with her when there is so much going on with Isaac. Still, I cannot wait to see how Alisha brings them all together and knowing her books, it will be grovelling and perfect!

Back to Isaac, his secret is obviously why he is the way he is, and I can only imagine how hard it must be for him, though I don't understand why Isaac acts the way he does to his so-called loves! Hence why I don't like him right now, though I know I will love him as soon as he makes amends. I cannot wait to see what he does to win everyone back and over, haha!

I also cannot wait for more on Micheal and Daddy lucifer!! Bring on my most anticipated series so far this year!!

We start right where we left off from the 1st book (Tainted Wings). If you haven’t read the 1st book then I suggest you do before reading Tainted Bonds.
So I was so happy with the character progression in this book. We got to know more about Zed and his life. We get to see some insight with Isaac, Luke, and Noah and how their relationship came to be. We also see a little more of Penny and Zed’s sister. I’m still wanting more about Leo and his family but I’m sure in due time we will get more. We also had some BIG surprises in the last chapter!! Ahh!! Ok I’m getting ahead of myself. Anywho, the bonds are growing, the steam is freaking hot, and now when I go to Thanksgiving I’m going to think about this book and have a chuckle. IYKYK 😉.
So it was really easy getting through book 2 because it grabbed you immediately at the 1st chapter and kept you in its clutches until the literal end! There are some scenes that make me think some things are going to happen but I’m not for sure you never know which way Alisha will take it (one of the things I love about her), and last but not least Micheal is a prick but use a different letter like D!
