As a Man Thinketh: 21st Century Edition

As a Man Thinketh for Today's Readers
James Allen's classic rephrased in contemporary language

Widely considered the greatest self-help book of all-time, As a Man Thinketh reveals how our thoughts shape our character and influence our circumstances, health, and achievements. The choice is either master your mind to create the life you want, or remain mired in frustration and failure.

While James Allen's writing was exceptionally clear for its time, As a Man Thinketh —like any 100-year-old book—uses archaic language that can be difficult to grasp. In this 21st Century Edition, bestselling author Sam Torode entirely rephrases Allen's ideas in contemporary English, making his wisdom available to today's readers. It's also gender-neutral (except for retaining the original title), because this is a book for all humans.

TWO BOOKS IN The hardcover version of As a Man 21st Century Edition also includes The 21st Century Edition , which paraphrases the Stoic philosopher Epictetus' classic guide to inner freedom and peace of mind.

As a plant grows from a seed, so every act grows from a seed of thought.

Everything you do or say begins in your mind. Even when your actions seem spontaneous, they are driven by unconscious thoughts.

Behavior is the blossom of thought, and joy and suffering are its fruits.

We reap the harvest—sweet or bitter—of our inner garden.

As this book is originally written in old English, Sam Torode has rephrased this in contemporary English for the new age readers i.e. us for better understanding 💗 I'm not much into self help books but as this was a short read, I liked it💕
As a psychology student, I was able to relate and understand most of the things discussed in here❤️
A visualizing exercise is given in here which I'm definitely going to try🥰✨it seems really good!!

As my first read in some while, this short read is exactly what I needed! Highly recommend this book if you’re someone that needs a course correction in life. I read it twice and learned more on the second read!
