When their date at the pool only serves to heat up their budding relationship, heart doctor Mel must face the reality that she’s falling for Lynn. As her feelings grow and the temptation to take their relationship to the next step reaches unbearable, an emergency at the hospital demands Mel’s attention. A mystery draws Mel away and wraps her up in an investigation that soon tumbles out of control, leaving Lynn alone to await the doctor’s return.
This is a great manga, although it is award-winning and widely popular enough that I don’t need to tell you that. As a complete package I think this series deserves 5-stars. A delightful grumpy X sunshine situation, that strikes a good balance between being realistic and convoluted. There is some great foreshadowing. Some of the characters are a lot of fun, including the side characters.
I like the art, and the artist does a good job of using it to portray emotions and action.
The protagonists are absolutely adorable together and I genuinely wish for their happiness, so I think that says a lot right there!
When their date at the pool only serves to heat up their budding relationship, heart doctor Mel must face the reality that she's falling for Lynn. As her feelings grow and the temptation to take their relationship to the next step reaches an unbearable level, an emergency at the hospital demands Mel's attention. A mystery draws Mel away and wraps her up in an investigation that soon tumbles out of control, leaving Lynn alone to await the doctor's return.
As well as the element of Mel and Lynn’s relationship reaching these new, sizzling hot, heights, the plot itself really picks up here. One of Mel’s old flames is in a critical condition at the hospital and she finds herself playing amateur detective! Definitely my favourite book of the Pulse series so far!
Omg, yasss! They *finally* got together together. I love Mel warming up to Lynn. I was *not* expecting the drama from Grace (the nurse) and her (now ex) fiance, the homophobic, abusive criminal. 100% deserved everything Mel did to him in self-defense. I feel like we're going to see more of the investigation in vol. 4.
Fantastic! Everything you want in a mature sapphic love story. W|W / Yuri - whatever you want to call it. The art is beautiful and a good story with drama, suspense and even little cutesy moments. 10/10 would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a NSFW graphic love story.
This was an interesting volume. We get more development with Lynn and Mel but a majority of the story is a mystery involving one of Mel's ex lovers. It was a little odd to see this direction shift but it was handled well. What's really selling this series are the two MCs and how they are developing with each volume. The art is consistent and the coloring is vivid and eye catching.
Very original take the Yuri romance genre with some serious steam. Some real serious stuff gets brought up in this volume. One of my personal go-tos when wanting to binge a REALLY well done Yuri romance with soul and heart (no puns intended).
I almost forgot I read this last month! Um, once again, the beautifully drawn pages can't make up for the mildly insufferable plot, so while I'm not buying this series, I'll speed read it, I suppose!
I honestly wasn’t expecting this turn of events when I first picked up this manga. I was just so happy to finally see GL in my local library. Im even more invested in the storyline and I want to see where we are headed!
