What Happens When a Wicked Wizard Woos a Wary Witch?

Sequel to Not in Kansas.

Dorothy knows her new neighbor is too wicked to be trusted. As a natural witch, she recognizes the Wizard for what he truly is. As a woman, she recognizes him as a threat to her sanity.

Z has tried everything. Pursued her in dreams, bribed her cat, enticed her with peep shows meant to whet her appetite and drive her crazy. And still she resists. What’s a Wizard to do? He came to Earth to have an adventure, not lose his heart to the one witch whose guard he can’t get past.

When he finally gets his hands on her, the power between them is undeniable. But Dorothy’s family secret could make him sorry she surrendered.

Loved. Loved. Loved this book. Book 1 was a great introduction into this wicked, sexy, wonderful world of Oz. That was Kansas and the king's story. This is the great wizard and Dorothy's story. Dorothy is a witch. Her aunt raised her and has warned her against wizards her whole life. So why can't Dorothy resist her new neighbor, who, while hot, is a wizard.

Just when Dorothy is questioning her views of wizards he leaves amid a giant storm, telling her that if she calls out her name she will be brought to him. Dorothy can't resist calling out his name. Next thing she knows she's in a strange world with different human/animal hybrids. And her friend Kansas. What? Dorothy quickly comes to learn about this world that has found itself in chaos. The good witch that created this world is trying to uncreate it and the people of this world are divided about it and warring against each other.

Dorothy is shocked to find out who the good witch is and why she is trying to end the world she created. There are a couple of other surprises that tie everything up into a fun little bow. This is a short book so it is pretty much insta love. And of course there is hot, hot sex. There is a HEA.

Fair warning: There are some sexual acts between the male main character and other people. Mainly it voyeurism while he puts on a show for Dorothy to watch. I'm am totally anti cheating and this didn't bother me.

Just when I thought Not in Kansas was good. She had to take the hunky Wizard from the first book. Dump him right smack in the middle of California with a woman named Dorothy. A shy, curvy, and push over female that also happens to be a witch. A very powerful witch that is also the soul mate to said hot ‘Wizard of Oz’. After a fantastic ‘light bondage’ (no ropes, think invisible bondage Wizard of Oz style) the Wizard is summoned back to Oz, and leaves our poor Dorothy with a way into Oz if she should need to come to him.

This story was laced with hot erotic scenes and was even better than Not in Kansas. It added in more elements of the original story, you get a takes of Glinda, some ‘flying monkeys’, and other mystical creatures that all over sexed and aren’t ashamed of it. Let me tell you, if I had known that Oz was the land of sex, I would have hopped on the first Twister and taken my happy butt there a long time ago.

I think this story had more of a pleasing effect on me because of the light bondage and spanking that was in it. This was one of the most pleasing erotic romances I have read in a very long time. The fantasy was great, the storyline was new and fresh, and I wish she would write just ONE MORE in this series so I can sit back and indulge in another trip to the land of Oz.

I thank my goodread friend Toni for listing it in her list of books she read. I read this book only because of the title.

Ms. Alexander does a decent job of putting a twist on the story. I found it to be amusing, lighthearted and fun. I have to admit going easier on this author because I like the story line and because of the personal connection with my name. This is a good quick read for anyone who wants to spend an hour downtime to read about a sexy hot alpha male having his wicked way with a confused witchy female. I enjoy capture and pursuit themes. If you enjoy a light-hearted capture and pursuit, you'll probably enjoy this book too.

Didn’t enjoy it as much as the first one but it was good. Towards the end things got a little crazy but it was fun and enjoyable. Z was great in his persistence.
