Trusts are broken, secrets are revealed, and lives are changed forever when four people are summoned back to their small, sleepy Southern town for their 10-year high school reunion.
A high school reunion for the books ! What happens when secrets are exposed and some people have to relive the hellish days of their high school years!? It’s a weekend reunion what can go wrong ?
This book was very well written and I enjoyed the different characters that were involved. Some have moved away to become successful and some have stayed. No matter how far you go on in life something memories are hard to remember and some you want to forget. Follow the main characters of this book;
Janet a high school cheerleader who was dating the football captain and had her whole life planned out.
Solomon a nobody who no one talked to stayed behind harboring all of the secrets of the school.
Trayce a woman teased and taunted for her size as a child but as an adult coming back to painful memories.
Karim the target of many bullies coming back to the reunion with fame behind his name now.
What could these 4 people have in common!? You’ll have to read and see but this book was really good I enjoyed listening to it on audible!
Well, I just want to say, I read Sticks and Stones by Eric Pete and it was awesome. I really enjoyed it. It was an easy read. I love his writing style. The story circles around 4 former students of Marion high school who each received invitations to their 10th year class reunion. They were leery about going because each had a situation that haunted them from their past. All of the different scenarios were interesting and kept me wanting to know what was going to happen next. The story shows how we can carry our past traumas with us throughout our lives. Also, how we must make peace with the past in order to move forward. Great read Eric! Thank you...
This centers around 4 ppl who all have one thing in common. High school. A decade later, they all become entertwined with secrets from the past that will tear them apart by broken trust or friendships that will begin
This book started off slow for me in the beginning, but it picked up and I liked it. It did confuse me at times because I didn't know who the author was referring to, but nonetheless it was interesting. I will say I thought how one couple ended their relationship was pretty cool.
I really enjoyed this story. For a minute, it felt like it got into the weeds, and I wasn't sure if it was turning into a Christian Romance or not, but then it circled back. I liked the character development and realistic process of information and resemblance to real life situations that occurred. Worthy read.
