This is an introduction to the concept of light and shadow for young readers. It does not have a lot of depth but does introduce the concepts of light, translucent, transparent, opaque, and shadow. While discussing light it mentions different ways that it is made and used, for example how to make a shadow. This is a fun introduction to the concept of light and how it affects our world. It is a short title but does include a table of contents, glossary, index and further reading. For lovers of Sesame Street this would be a great addition to their library. I would recommend it for purchase for both young readers and libraries that cater to lovers of Sesame Street. This book was provided by the publisher for professional review by SWON Libraries.
