I really enjoyed getting to know these characters and their dogs. That little Pinch who's Reggie's dog was definitely a little stinker! I can see where he thought he might be a junior version of Beau, the resident security Doberman since little Pinch was a Manchester (who loved instigating trouble!)

I doubt I would've guessed whodunit and I loved that Beau got a big part in taking out the perp or at least letting police know which person it was! I'm looking forward to the next book which I'll borrow from KU and getting to know these characters better! Life in a marina community with dogs sounds pretty darn cool!

Horrible. So bad I don’t want to read the other books in the series. It was as if the entire book took place on a dock with characters who were just one dimensional

I kind of enjoyed this book. The storyline was interesting but didn’t seem to really pick up lace until the last couple chapters. Which left me with a shocked face as I continued to read. It was a good thing. Some twists are just so big that they do to you. My only complaint is the names. I kept getting the sisters confused as their names began with the same letter, which to me was too similar. Other character names I couldn’t figure out how to pronounce which left me frustrated.
But overall it was an enjoyable read with a fresh new setting and concept. I think I will continue on with the series and add it to my To Be Read list.

Fun! One sister is a lawyer and the other is a police detective. The lawyer inherited a narrow boat and more from an aunt. On her first day there she meets a lot of the (real) characters who live and work at the marina. And the body of one of them! It's a lot of fun with crazy dogs and crazier people, but the plot twists and red herrings top it all! Loved it!
I requested and received a free e-book copy from Fairfield Publishing via NetGalley. Thank you!

Quick east read

Started this cozy on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. I found myself drawn to the characters and the story and quickly made it through the book. Although I thought the "story" was a bit of a stretch the fact it was not the norm brought along with it satisfaction.
I'll follow the series -

Superficial treatment of everything. I don't feel I know any character; I can't envision the marina; I know nothing about the great aunt or her relationship with the sisters; we don't even know where the marina is in relation to the town her sister serves as a police officer.

Might as well not have read it.

Will not read further in the series.

Not very realistic

The whole story is not realistic. The characters were weird. Even if a story is fiction, to be interesting it needs to be believable or possible.

A decent cozy mystery

This was a good story and the mystery had a good twist. I'm not sure how I feel about the characters yet, but I'm going to keep going with the series for now.

It’s an okay book with too many characters and a very rushed plot & ending.
