Jack Lehman had a bad reputation. Everyone knew it. Beth Koffman certainly knew after what he did to her sister.

How could her oldest sister have contracted with him to build their store!! And then put her in charge of construction! She can’t stand him!

Jack is determined to do well building the Koffman store despite what people think. Because he knows most of it isn’t true.

My review…
A fast read. A fun read. Exactly what I wanted. But there was a moral to this story too — actually two. One: Don’t believe everything you hear. Two: Words hurt, especially when they aren’t true. Jack’s father delivers his words with a sledgehammer tongue. Being told you are a failure and will always be a failure is not an easy cross to bear.

The Amish community knows his father. The bad reputation isn’t from his father. Everyone knows that Jack is a “player” with one girlfriend after another. Why he has kissed every girl??? Well, not the Koffman girls. At least not all seven of them!

The Koffman sisters are very close. After all, it’s just them, no ‘mamm‘, and a ‘daed‘ with dementia. And when a young man named Jack Lehman makes Willa cry, Beth is definitely not willing to give Jack even an inch of leeway. Except the Jack that starts to build their store isn’t like the Jack everyone talks about. Slowly, she starts seeing him in a different light.

Remember the two morals that started this review. Beth doesn’t follow number One. Will she learn to do so in time to claim the happiness and love she longs for?

If you are looking for a feel-good, quick read in an Amish setting, then “Falling for the Amish Bad Boy” is for you.

If I were Amish, this would be a 5 star, very appropriate romance where the moral of the story is, not to gossip and things are solved with prayer.

However I'm not Amish and I was hoping for a criminal cult situation or 🌶 that wasn't the first kiss happening 10 hours after getting married.

Falling for the Amish Bad Boy by Emma Miller is a cute story. The story is easy to read. I enjoyed getting to know Beth Kauffman, her father, and her many sisters along with Jack Lehman. I like how the Kauffman sisters watch out for their father who is suffering from early-onset dementia. I enjoyed following Beth and Jack’s relationship. Beth has a perception of Jack based on what she was told by her sister, Willa and Honeycomb Amish grapevine. We get to see how her opinion of Jack changes as they spend time together. Beth and Jack’s journey to happily ever after is sweet, but it is not smooth. There are a couple of bumps and potholes along the way. The story allows us to see that gossip can be harmful. As rumors move from person to person the information gets farther from the truth. We also learn that there is more than one side to a story. We see that what we perceive to have happened is colored by our emotions. I like that we learn about the importance of trust in a relationship. The epilogue nicely wrapped up the story. I like that we get to catch up with Elden and Millie from Her Surprise Christmas Courtship. Falling for the Amish Bad Boy is the second book in the Seven Amish Sisters series, and it can be read as a standalone. The only negatives are that the story plays out in a predictable manor and the repetition of key details. Falling for the Amish Bad Boy is a touching tale with sisterly squabbles, a dad with dementia, disruptive rumors, construction of store, and a rocky romance.

Started reading this as a joke with my friend - the title sparked some curiosity we couldn’t refuse. Cmon!

Candidly however, I didn’t think it was a stupendous book but it was mildly entertaining. I’d like to equate it to a Hallmark romcom, pretty predictable but fine. It was dubbed enemies-to-lovers trope but as an avid fan of a slow burn, I felt the enemies segment of the book was incredibly brief. Some interesting sprinkles of insight re: Amish life but could’ve used more info/learning/culture/dynamic character movement but hey! for what it was, it was entertaining enough.

Truth and Trust

What do you do when you are tasked to work with someone whose reputation is said to be very questionable and with which you wholeheartedly agree? Beth Koffman is about to find out.

What do you do when yours is the reputation fueled by people who think they know the story, interject their own ideas into it, and then run with it? Jack Lehman isn't about to find out, because, sadly, it is already part of his reality.

I loved Beth and Jack's story. As I read, I couldn't wait to see how they would be able to rise above what others labeled as reality. However, as they spend time together, Jack works at showing Beth the truth, and she in turn begins to trust. Their journey turned into a sweet and endearing relationship that melted my heart. However, a few bumps in the road had me once again wondering whether or not Beth and Jack would be able to overcome, which kept me riveted to the story up to the very last page.

I throughly enjoyed this sweet and inspirational story. It was a great reminder of how there is always more than one side to a story. It also brought to mind the many quotes about lies and truth, but especially the one that talks about seeing it with your own eyes vs. inventing it with your own mouth. The story also reminded me of the proverb that talks about a good name/reputation being worth more than silver and gold. (22:1) I loved how the author wove together these life lessons into Beth and Jack's story. The combination of these lessons, along with the romance and inspiration, made this a truly wonderful story that I highly recommend.

This was such a good story! Set as book two of the Seven Amish Sisters series, it can easily be read as a stand alone novel, too.

I really felt for Jack and all of the bias against him. He was a handsome man and had dated quite a few girls in the area, but he did not deserve the reputation that he had gained as a playboy. There were so many rumors flying around the community and none of them painted a good picture of this man. It frustrated me on his behalf.

I understood that Beth was concerned about all that she was hearing. It made sense for her to question what was true and what wasn’t, especially at first. However, once they had been in a relationship for awhile, her continued doubt in Jack really dealt his heart some blows.

This was a book that I didn’t want to set down! I enjoyed it from start to finish and look forward to reading the next in the series.

Some people get a bad reputation, some deservedly, others unfairly. So begins the story of Jack Lehman, a hardworking young man hired to build a new store for Koffman family, much to the disapproval of Beth Koffman. Jack is not the person some people think he is, as it turns out he really is a nice guy and not a bad boy at all.

I loved Jack and Beth, they were both a little leery of each other but the one thing that they had in common was how they cared for and looked out for Beth’s father who was suffering with dementia. Jack turned out to be the hero as the story flowed at a great pace. The sisters are all protective of their father, work hard and the love they share is joyful to see.
Overall, I thought this was a sweet, well written book. Suitable for all ages so it can read by the young and the young at heart.

Falling for the Amish Bad Boy by Emma Miller, book two in the Amish Sisters series, is a sweet and inspirational story that is a reminder of how there is always more than one side to a story; or even gossip. Beth Koffman and her many sisters watch out for their father who is suffering from early-onset dementia. As their mother died years earlier it is up to the sisters to take care of their home and farm. Jack Lehman, a hardworking young man, was sort of going out with Beth’s boy-crazy sister who broke her heart. When their eldest sister hires Jack to build a new store for Koffman family, Beth is up in arms; believing it is disloyal to their heart-broken sister. Jack is not the person some people think he is. It turns out he really is a nice guy who has a bad reputation fueled by people who think they know his story, adding their own ideas into it, and run with it, spreading it around.

It was enjoyable following Beth and Jack’s relationship. Beth has a perception of Jack based on what she was told by her sister, friend, and Honeycomb Amish grapevine. It was interesting watching how her opinion of Jack changes as they spend time together with him showing Beth the truth, and she in turn begins to trust. Beth learns the challenging lesson to not believe everything you hear, especially when it goes against your own findings and feelings. Jack and Beth’s journey to finding happiness together is sweet and endearing, but definitely not smooth; as they encounter some bumps and potholes along the way, some that could be difficult to overcome. The story is a reminder that gossip and rumors can be harmful and hurtful, also that there is more than one side to a story and to trust your.

Ms. Miller wrote a wonderfully sweet and moving story that left me reminders of how to treat others. The message of love, faith, trust, and forgiveness stood strong; making this sweet and inspirational read one I could not put down, drawing me in, making me forget it was fiction. This inspiring and touching story will stay with you long after you finish reading it. I highly recommend Falling for the Amish Bad Boy to other readers.

I was SO pleasantly surprised by this Amish romance! It had everything you want to make you giggle and kick your feet! I thoroughly enjoyed getting an insight to an Amish community and just loved how they put God first in every decision they made! Each character was lovable and the community displayed between families makes me wish the town of HoneyComb really did exist!!

I highly recommend it! Slow at first but at about chapter four it starts to get interesting! I gasped, I giggled and I overall loved this book!!

A sweet romance that has underlying lessons weaved in.

Beth Koffman is confident when it comes to her family. She has their back. When her sister breaks up with Jack Lehman, there are conflicting stories. But she only finds that out after she confronts him with a the wrath of sister. Beth's family is made up of 4 sisters and one brother. Her mother passed away and her father is in the early stages of dementia. Her older sister has taken the reins of running the household and with that she has hired Jack for a construction job. Her sisters are all very independent in different ways and Jack has meant his match with the Beth. They come to understanding while Jack is working on the job. They become friends and the friendship blooms. I enjoyed how they got to know each other. However, with Jack's reputation, Beth is confronted everytime she hears gossip and with that human condition, she doubts Jack. This leads to getting to the root of insecurities for both Jack and Beth. With the encouragement of her family, she knows the truth will set her free to love.

An Amish Bad Boy. Just how bad can an Amish guy be? Such a well-written, fast-pace story that you can not put it down. I just couldn’t wait to see what happens next. The characters are very believable.

Beth Koffman and Jack Lehman are such an unlikely duo that neither one knows what hit them. Jack had a reputation, and Beth did not what any of the Koffman sisters to have anything to do with him. Then why had her oldest sister hired him to build their new store? To make matters worse, he had broken the heart of one of her sisters.

We watch as Beth learns the hard lesson of not believing everything you hear, especially when it goes against your own findings. We are there when she learns, trust is very important and there are always two sides to every story.

I am pleased to give this book a 5-star review. A great addition to the series. Can’t wait to read Cora’s story.

This is the second book in the Seven Amish Sisters series by this author.

Seven Amish sisters centers around seven sisters who have lost their mother, and their father has early onset dementia. They must do everything to keep the family going.

One of the sisters, Beth Kofmann, learns that another sister has hired Jack Lehman to build a store for them. She is very upset as Jack has a terrible reputation with women and she does not want him around her or any of her sisters. She listens to all the Amish grapevine gossip about Jack and does not want him around. As she comes to know him while he works on their store, she soon feels that maybe everything she has heard about him is not the truth. As they both develop their friendship we see many emotions.

I did enjoy the book, however, felt there that Beth showed too many doubts and I soon tired of her constant whining and mistrust of Jack.

Last year I learned that I like Amish based books. I’ve always been a sucker for romance because yes they have their down moments but they always end in happily ever afters. This book delivered on everything I like and why I keep coming back to Amish romances. I also enjoyed how we got to see a more modern take on what’s normally an old feeling belief system. Beth and her sisters are quite feisty each of them with their own personality that I enjoyed. The title had me scratching my head thinking what is an Amish bad boy. Another plus was that the author kept showing us that we need to realize their are always two sides. Even deeper than that is the fact that what we perceive to happen and what really did happen won’t always match up because of our feelings. A wonderful wholesome book with romance. It also included the family and Amish community. I would gladly read the next story about Cora when it comes out.

While reading this book, the idiom “if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all” came to mind a lot. Jack was unfortunately the victim of rumors that made him well known as a cheater or player among the girls in the community. Both the main characters, Beth, who had to learn not to believe everything she heard, and Jack, who had to learn to be strong against the rumors that were being said about him. Rumors can either destroy a person or make them stronger as was witnessed in this book and people can be judged unfairly.

Welcome back to the Kaufmann Family! This is the second book in the “Seven Amish Sisters” series. You can read this as a stand alone book. However, I do recommend reading the other books in the series because they are so great! This is Bath’s story.
How bad is an Amish “bad boy”? Jack definitely has a reputation that he partly earned and was partly given to him by the Amish grapevine. If you like a quick paced novel about love and learning to trust one another, this book is for you!

Falling for the Amish Bad Boy by Emma Miller: a sweet, fun story about learning to trust the truth rather than rumors and gossip. Beth is stunned when she learns her sister has hired Jack, the man who broke their sister's heart, to build their store. She is even more stunned when she realizes that everything she thought she knew about Jack turns out to not line up with the man she is coming to know. As their attraction grows, they must learn to lean on each other and the Lord to find the trust needed for a relationship.

Falling for the Amish Bad Boy by Emma Miller is a wonderful read. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I enjoyed seeing the characters relationships and personalities develop. The story is well written, is easy to read and keeps you interested. It is not only romance developing (which I love, lol), there is also a few valuable lessons being taught! I can’t wait for another great story by author Emma Miller!!
