STORY:
WHAT I LIKED:
I love the way the author builds her story and shares it with the reader. It is always the smallest detail that makes the difference and the way she does it that excites you. Finn’s biggest quality, his determination. Diamond is likable but fustrating as well.

WHAT WAS SO SO:
**sighing** I have no problem with writing or storytelling, but after reading the third book (unpopular opinion) a part 2 was not necessary. This could have all been one book as their issues dragged out and it was the same song and dance which can get boring. The shock value moments were like a soap opera, however, still could have been done in one book. The second half of the story with regards to Finn, I get it, but it still dragged out of me. Lowkey, the first book and the first half of part 2 had a tiny bit of gaslighting from Finn. Watching Diamond keep getting sucked in and giving up what she wants for Finn emotionally, just to have him not claim her kept repeating itself and getting old. After a while I was not reading for excitement, I was reading to get to the end to not miss out on anything should there be another book in case I am still interested. Again, I get it, I get the mechanics and each component of the story, but I also want the momentum of that excitement I felt in book 1 to keep going so that it keeps my interest should there be more stories on the other characters.

What I enjoyed in book one, the main characters and the sideline hook ups/romances that could possibly take place. There were so much going on, but it all made sense. I remember even getting excited about Theo and Vee’s sister and something happening there in book 1, but crickets, no teasers of excitement for what’s to come. I don’t even know anymore who will possibly connect with who. Book 3 should have been about another couple. Too much time spent on Finn and Diamond that I am slowly losing interest about the others.

SEXUAL CHEMISTRY
Their sex scenes were spicy, but the second half of the story was focused on them redeveloping their feelings again.

SECONDARY CHARACTERS:
Always great to see Vee and Xavier, still my favorite. Lacey, like mind blown the 360 with this one, wow. Theo, no excitement of possibly anything happening with him.

OVERALL:
Was I entertained? Sometimes
Did I like the story? Yes
Would I read/continue the other books in the series? Not sure.

TRIGGERS: talks of child molestation and foster home abuse

NOTES: has ow/om drama.

****I don't equate these stories with reality. It is a question of personal taste and what you want or want to tolerate with the books that you read. I know we all have different views and preferences when it comes to what we read. I based my book reviews on my preferences and what I like, and although these preferences may not be the same for others, I hope that the review was helpful.

Trigger Warnings:

THE ENDING OF BOOK 2 FUCKING KILLED ME, the whole reason I started this was cuz amazing Mel🌜 convinced me to read the last chapter of book 2. I was fucking livid. I can’t lie, I didn’t like the reasoning or how the conflict turned out but then we had another problem. It felt like most of the book was grovel, and you know I LOVE grovel. Finn suffered and Dia had a backbone. I liked the angst and drama in this one. Unlike Xav, it felt like Finn was obsessed with Dia, which made me love this. You gotta read the books in order, you can ignore the first book but I recommend you don’t since it’ll have points that you are curious about Xav and Vee.

In order to read this I recommend you read Book 1: Dear Love, I Hate You and Book 2: Dear Heart, I Hate You. You don’t have to read Book 1 but it’ll help with background on the timeline of events and the stuff that’s brushed over, even though it isn’t as good as book 2 IMO. But you can start with the second book and then this.

Dia is in need of money to buy her dream car so she is forced to work as much as possible. She becomes the housesitter for Finn, who is making her life a living hell. Finn doesn’t want Dia around even though she takes care of his dog well. So he decides to pull pranks on her until she breaks. But from the pranks he’s pulled she seems to take it and deliver back with more punch.

Now for spoilers

Eliah Greenwood is so talented, I can’t wait to read more of her books. That is all, stay safe folks!

Dia was annoying AF!! 😫 She was just like Kristen Stewart playing Bella on New Moon in a really bad day.🙄

Although I liked Finn I thought that he had to grovel way too much more for his wrongdoing, he had it too easily... but then we are talking about Dia here, she was waaaay to eager to forgive him😆

Also the author kept adding things and more things to the story, some (or alot) of the stuff were so ridiculous or unrealistic that I found myself not caring or just rolling my eyes. Then she swept everything under the rug and left readers without answers.

At one point, 70% to be more specific, I had enough of this BS and DNF. I just couldn’t read one more sentence, I had enough.

I’m sorry to say this was a complete let down for me. I loved the first two books.
This book was long and drawn out for these two characters. It could have ended in book 2.
I didn’t think Dia was portrayed as a strong, smart young woman in this book. Idk what happened to this character..
I had so much love for the first book. Couldn’t say enough good things about it.
All I can say is I was very disappointed with this one 🤷‍♀️

💙I Hate everyone But you

What a perfect ending to Finn and Dia’s love story!
We start this story after the cliff hanger from dear heart I hate you. We get so many answers that will begin unraveling the lives of both Finn and Dia, and everything they thought they knew. The first half is intense, there’s a lot of angst and emotions that you will feel along the way. Eliah mixes the perfect combination of angst abs emotion. Her writing is compelling and intriguing. You will find yourself turning page after page to see what happens next.

Dear heart I miss you, I really enjoyed. I loved how Eliah set this book up, leaving us with all the grace kings we wanted from Finn, and seeing him give as much as Dia always did. We see these characters in a more mature light and I think using the setting of the second half really added to the development of the characters. Finn and Dia’s story isn’t always easy. It’s filled with tragedy and heart break. Dear heart I miss you deals with serious topics, and Eliah handles them in a realistic way. There’s something Finn goes through to grow as a person, that authors don’t show very often, and it was done beautifully.

I don’t want to say too much because I feel like this one heightens the experience going into it blindly. But the second half was my favorite part. The coming back together, seeing the growth of all the characters I have loved from Eliah so far. Finn really owns up for his mistakes, I loved him in book 1 and love him even more in book 2. I finished the book knowing how perfect he was for Dia. Eliah left me with no doubts in this book, she answered all my questions and more.
Your heart will be so full when you are done.

I cannot wait to see what she does within this world. The characters she has created could all have their own stories, and I hope they do. I definitely recommend Dear Heart I Miss you.

▪️Dear Heart, I Miss You is book #3 of Easton High series by Eliah Greenwood. It's also the conclusion of Finn and Dia's duet. It is told from both points of view with a HEA.

Genre: Young Adult Romance.
Tropes:
➵enemies to lovers
➵tortured hero & heroine
➵second chance
➵forced proximity

Dear Heart, I Miss You picks up right where Dear Heart, I Hate You left off, with Dia thinking Finn betrayed her and Finn having to find a way to tell her the truth without breaking her heart.

There’s so much to unpack in each part of the book, but I don’t want to give anything away. Their story is filled with the most delicious new adult swoon and sexiness tempered with angst and drama.

After reading and loving the previous book, I of course was cheering for Finn and Dia to find their HEA, but they had a long way to go.

Finn especially needed to work on himself. His character development was excellent. I loved how he grew and matured and endeavored to be a better man for him, for her, for them. Yes, he made mistakes along the way, but he owns them and loved him even more for it.

By the numbers quick review:
★ World building: 💌💌💌💌
★ Character development: 👤👤👤👤👤
★ Plot: 📚📚📚📚📚
★ Romance: 💕💕💕💕
★ Sexiness: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

HAPPY RELEASE DAY!!
- thank you so much for this arc eliah <333
- check tw’s !!

eliah greenwood has done it again. i truly believe that none of her books can disappoint me (speaking as someone who has read them all). what i loved about this book was finn’s development. after the last book’s cliffhanger, i was scared, horrified, even for what was to come, but wow did eliah greenwood exceed my expectations.

throughout this story, we see finn’s character develop in an unimaginable way. he grew to not only forgive himself but to become a better person. & honestly that was the only way him & dia were ever going to work.

i love dia so much 🥹🥹 her love, her passion and her care for those around her is so unreal. and even after everything, she still stuck by finn and saw him grow, as she grew too. reading dia grow stronger, more confident was amazing!!

overall this was one of the most beautiful, heart shattering & complexe love stories ive ever read. i was on the edge of my seat for this ENTIRE book!! i can’t wait to see what else eliah has in store !

ummm so i sobbed multiple times reading this. holy shit my heart bleeds for dia and finn😭😭 this book was a perfect ending for my babies. dia and finn’s story isn’t easy..it’s filled with so much heartbreak and tradegy, but it’s also so pure and raw.

in this book so many secrets were unraveled and we got all the answers we needed. the first half of the book is so intense, with all the angst and emotion between dia and finn and dia fighting her love for finn & then the second half of the book where they finally came back together was so beautiful i cried. i loved watching their relationship grow and develop into something beautiful and not toxic anymore. i loved being able to read about finn fighting his demons and becoming a better version of himself for dia and owning up to his mistakes.

dia and finn are fkn soulmates and their story has it all. angst, slowburn, heartbreak, passion & SOUL CRUSHING LOVE. their journey together was everything and the epilogue was everything and more🥹🤍 also loved how aveena and xavier were apart of their journey, i missed them

Dear Heart, I Miss You is a binge worthy book. I didn't want to put it down and read it in a day.

Where do I even begin?! Dear Heart, I Miss You passed all my expectations. I can’t believe how well the author wrote the characters, their emotions.
I couldn't wait to see what'd become of that mighty fine cliffhanger Dear Heart, I Hate You ended on. After she cleared that out, the author spinned the rest of the story so effortlessly, she has woven a twist after a twist into it, and managed to brake my heart numeros of times. Poor Fin and Dia barely had a minute to catch a break.

Their story, the despair, the hoping, getting a slap after a slap; it's all described so intensely that it took my breath away at times, and I could feel every single emotion they felt as their relationship changed. I cried throughout the whole book and I'm not even ashamed to say it.

I'm telling you, this book has it all; heartbreaking emotions, angst, slow burn, sizzling passion and soul crushing love. And seing Aveena and Xavier as a part of their jurney... gah, I needed that.

My heart broke for these two characters and I loved seeing them heal and get the love they deserve. Definitely recommend!

ALL MY REVIEWS CAN BE FOUND ON MY BLOG: ABSTRACT BOOKS

line

Star Rating : 4.5/5 Stars

POV : Dual

Cliffhanger : None

Hero : Finn

Heroine : Dia

Pace of the story : Moderate

Angst Rating : 7/10

Heat Rating : 6/10

Triggers Involved : Bully , Past Trauma

Plot Summary :
Finn and Dia are back!

After that epic ending and the devastating outcome after Finn ruined Dia , Dia is now on the run. She does not need Finn. All he does is lie to her. Make her think she means something to him and then the next moment, ruins her. She is done. And this time there will be no running back , Finn won't get the chance to break her again.

Finn knows what Dia saw was disastrous. However he can't justify it to her. Because then that would lead to many more questions, and eventually expose the biggest secret he ever kept from her. You see , she thinks that Finn is cheating on her , but it's worse. So much worse than that.

Overall Opinion :
The conclusion to Finn and Dia's story is here! This book made me goo whoaaaaa. Like I was expecting some storyline , but the twist? Like this is the best thing with this author , you never see the twists coming. They are just that good and crazy. Absolutely loved them!

The darkness in this book was more than the first book of this series definitely. Finn is messed up and he did mess up a lot , but then he changed as well. Definitely one of the best character progress curves ever. Loved it so much!!

If you are a fan of darkish contemporary romance , then definitely read this one. Recommending it to all!

“From the moment I kissed you, it was over.”

Holy WOW!!! I’m just a girl who continues to revel in my Eliah Greenwood era as this author’s words continue to dominate me. The Silver Springs series slays!!! I can’t stop binging and breathing these books. I can’t stop feeling these characters.

The best books are the ones that call to the heart, and oh did Dear Heart, I Miss You call to mine. It’s full of passion, poignancy, heartbreak, hope, healing, and a piece of heaven from above. I couldn’t help but read this tale with tears in my eyes, both smiling and crying, the intensity and emotion slaying me in every way.

Finn and Dia’s saga continues in this second half to their duet and oh is it an emotional thief. Dia and Finn are complex, compassionate, stunning and shattered souls, and I fell so hard for them both. I was in awe of their beautifully broken journey that brings battles to life and slays demons while bleeding heart, as it casts a light on self-esteem and self-worth. I not only wanted but needed Finn and Dia to get their hard-fought happily ever after.

“Did you ever think that maybe I don’t want someone to see my broken parts before they see the parts still held together?”

Bursting with smolder and soul, Dear Heart, I Miss You shines like the biggest star in the darkest sky. The intensity … the push-and-pull … the passion … the heartbreak … I felt it all! I still feel this romance touching my heart and soul. Momentous. Magical. Meaningful. Moving. Everything. Dear Heart, I Miss You is EVERYTHING!!!

“Now and forever.”

There aren’t enough starts in the universe for this broken beauty.

Eliah has done it again. I desperately look forward and anticipate every one of her book releases because they are always so well done. The amount of depth, heart, imperfection, growth and development she puts into her characters is outstanding. This book was no exception.

Finn’s development in this series was so beautiful. I can’t get over it. I absolutely loved him the whole way through but when he turned his life around, OBSESSED WITH HIS NEW AND IMPROVED SELF. I found myself rooting for his redemption every time he messed up because under all of his flaws, you could see the potential he had to be the man Dia deserved. And Dia was the perfect woman to show him kindness, grace and forgiveness. A light in his darkness that extended her heart to him even when he didn’t think he deserved it.

These characters complimented each other so well. The way they went through so much individually and were there for each other through it all, being the strength the other person needed.

Dia is love personified. She’s understanding and sweet and gentle and nurturing. She’s the sort of woman Finn needed but she didn’t cave to him as soon as he returned. She knew he’d have to prove himself and I think her forgiveness was a beautiful example that there’s no weakness in love.

The tension, the angst, the connections, the heat, the tears. All of it made for such a beautiful story and I’m so sad it’s over but I absolutely adored every second of it. I’ll be a forever fan of Eliah’s. She’s come so far in her career. I’ll never forget how we ranked side by side on Wattpad together and have grown together. She’s such a wonderful person and deserves the world.

Eliah Greenwood knows how to write an emotional roller coaster Journey.

The second installment of Finn and Diamonds Journey was absolutely crazy! So much happened in this book. I almost felt overwhelmed because I never had enough time to catch up on what I just read because something else would occur. You were thrown into their love story, then family drama, and A little bit of some suspense. My jaw dropped a few times in this book, I was stunned by some of these plot twists and certain information being revealed.

Because this book took place exactly right after we left off the first one, I felt it was a little bit slow paced for me in a way where when Finn and Diamond weren’t together I really just wanted them back together. I didn’t want them to go through any more hardships. They are like two of my babies that I don’t want anything to go wrong. They are too precious and I must protect them at all costs.

This is so much more to than to the series then just high school lovers and second chance romance. There is heartbreak within families, unbelievable secrets and plot twists, self-help, recovering from addictions and more!

I am so sad that this is over but i’m so glad that I could read this amazing story between Dia and Finn!

I loved that Finn found himself in this book and overcame a lot with facing his demons head on! Dia overcomes a lot in this book and it’s just proof of how strong and resilient she is! The way that these two managed to find their way back to each other was proof of their love and how they would do anything for each other.

My heart was broken at the start of this book and mended at the end! It was heartbreaking, beautiful and a true testament to how two people will always find their way back to each other.

Dia and Finn… The love I have for these 2 characters is a lot. Because they deserve it. Not sure if I'm ready to say goodbye to their love story. Dear Heart, I Miss You picks up where Dear Heart, I Hate You ended. If you have read Dear Heart, I Hate You then you would know that we needed a lot of answers.

This book was one of my post anticipated reads of the year and I have so scared it would be a let-down.
Dia and Finn are both characters that have been through a lot and because of that you can see why they make the decision they do. I'm not saying they make a good decision, but what I am saying is that with the pain they have, it makes sense in a way.

These are characters that you want to see succeed, together or alone. What I loved about this book that it wasn't a story that the characters needed each other to heal. The characters wanted each other by their side. It didn't feel forced or anything. I loved seeing Dia figure out her problems with her people, and the same goes for Finn. Seeing them heal with their trauma's was such a win as a reader.
But don't get it twisted, Dia and Finn will do everything and anything to heal for each other (especially Finn). Both of them know that there is a lot of work to do for each other. Finn's end goal is still Dia and my man Finn won't give up.

Dia and Finn together are magic. The characters have so much debt in them, and you can truly feel that as a reader.

I am very happy to say that this book did not disappoint, I loved reading about the other characters in this world. We saw Aveena and Xavier * heart eyes* and so many more characters that the only question I have is: Whose story is next because I love this world Eliah created too much!

**Second Read**

So, after this reread I actually demoted this one from ‘All The Stars’ to 5 stars. I still loved it, and I adored Finns redemption arc, but this time round Dia bugged me and the whole time I was thinking ‘But just hear him out!’

I also felt on reading it a second time, that all the side plots were wrapped up way too quickly, almost rushed. Whereas in the first book, there’s a lot of detail and it’s well paced so we get all the info we need without being bored. This time it felt like we were sprinting to the conclusion. Especially with Dia’s arc.

That’s not to say I still don’t think it’s great! I do, it’s just I think it needed more to it.

**First Read**

I’m not remiss in saying that Eliah Greenwood blew it out of the park when she wrote Dear Heart, I Hate You, and then followed it up with this one. Dear Heart, I Miss You, is the perfect ending to Finn & Dia’s tumultuous relationship.
These two have been through the ringer and back in more ways than I can count but in this book, everything rights itself….eventually.

After the events at the end of the last book, things are not looking good. And they look even worse as this book begins. Fin is MIA, Dia has isolated herself from her family and things have changed, a lot.

I can’t tell you how much this book made me cry. From the beginning to the end, both books have had me crying at points. But this one? The ending had me snot-sobbing until I couldn’t breathe! If there’s one thing I love, it’s a book that ruins me and this one certainly did the job.

Once again Dia is that girl that doesn’t back down, she refuses to be used or hurt or lied to again. So she has her little life and just glides through, unfeeling and not living. Enter stage left … Finn Richards. He’s back and he’s not the same Finn we got in book one. No this is Finn Richards 2.0 and Jesus Kerist is he banging. I didn’t think Finn 1.0 could be topped. I was wrong. Shocker. I love, love, love how he fought tooth and nail for Dia.

All the gang is back, with some stories of their own tgat I want to read .. like now. Nudge, nudge Miss Greenwood.

There’s a lot of drama in these books, so prepare yourself. But it’s so worth it. Every single minute!!

Its so hard to find authors that make you feel so much, so strongly when you read. I can count on one hand the authors that fall into that category for me. Eliah Greenwoid has just stepped into that ring with the best of them for me, and I can’t wait to see what comes next.
