I liked this book much better than the first one. Though, some issues from that book converted in this too. Like the one, that I still don't get a real grip on the world and the dynamics. At least, here they don't have a permanent beta, who I don't understand and don't know how to put him in the whole pack.

This book is more on the sweeter side, though it's not advertised as Sweetverse. But there isn't much on the dark side. Sure, we have a trigger warning for the abduction part and Rayne's fears. But there isn't any real trouble or dark content. The guys are all sweet and caring with her.

The little trouble is mostly with Richard, and his struggles/fears, which keep him from being part of the pack. And James. Rayne's fears play a role too. The other guys too. Like, it is basically part of every book I read.

I said it many times before, and I say it now again: I'm a fan of the psychological side of things. So, this is well-defined here.

Rayne is a FMC I can get behind. Though, again, it was said she is a people pleaser. But otherwise than Faith from the first book, it isn't stated as part of her go-to MO. She is mostly feisty and confident. Which suits her, and fit in the whole persona story. I mean, she is the daughter of the Chief Justice of the IPP, and she wanted to study law like her father. Her behavior fit that story/wish. I could imagine her as a badass lawyer.

A really strong character. So, there isn't much to complain for me.

Otherwise, the book is more slow burn. Which isn't normally my favorite theme. But it's standalone, and the book isn't that long. So, I can cope with that. I don't like slow burn mostly in series. Though, the build up and tension is always great, and when they finally come together it's explosive. So, I see the appeal.

Here it was explosive too. Again, with some kinks. I'm never against kinky things, but it is always based on the circumstances. Here, there was not really a build up. One moment she makes love with one of the guys, and then the next one instantly fists her and all. It isn't directly explained, though, because I know Omegaverse, you could consider a stretchable vagina as a omega trait. So, it is indirectly explained, why it is done without much thought.

But overall, I liked it, and can recommend it. Let's see what the next book brings.

The best word I can think of to describe this book is “meh” and I really should have dnfed it. But the plot was interesting enough & the alphas did treat Rayne well so I liked to see that—which is why I gave 2 stars. But other than that, Knot a Tie was very much not for me. I think part of it is personal preference—the writing didn’t mesh with me. And I think part of it is just the fact that the emotional stakes seemed unimportant to the story. I also felt like the world wasn’t built too well, because as an avid omegaverse reader I was still confused by the way some of the terminology was being used.

Unfortunately, I didn’t really like this one. Not sure if I’ll pick up any of the others in the series some other time, but if I do it likely won’t be soon.

meh

It took forever to get through this one. I wanted to DNF it several times. I don’t even know how to explain the way this one made me feel. It was perfectly “okay” I guess. Nothing wrong with the writing style, grammar, editing. Maybe it’s the plot itself? There’s no anguish. Just 5 guys who want to mate with an omega but no one really seems to communicate properly or they just ignore big flags waving in front of them. Some things don’t add up. The first book in the series I found more interesting. I won’t be continuing the series. For me this was a no.

Unrated - DNF 35%

I didn't like this book. One of the MMCs is involved in kidnapping FMC so she can be forcefully mated to unite several packs of feral alphas, AKA "loose" packs. She forgives him like it's no big deal just because he has a change of heart.

Anyway, I keep trying to read this book and DNFing because it's stupid.

Note to Self: Stop trying to read this book! You don't like it, and you never will.

One minute Rayne is on the way to visit her cousin for the weekend, the next she's been omeganapped! She's at the mercy of a bad Alpha who plans to use her to tie together all of the loose packs of stray Alphas. She will be used and abused. But with the help of a lone, honorable Alpha who smells of pine, her trusty designer handbag, and the intervention of the pack unknowingly stalking her, she escapes this fate. Now she's in a house full of delicious-smelling Alphas who may just be the pack she secretly dreamed of. If she can get her pine Alpha back and avoid the bad Alphas, she may just get her HEA.

I enjoyed this sweet story. It's light on angst and heavy on dirty talk. I liked how it was straightforward but not simple. There wasn't much character development and not much more relationship development but there is enough outside conflict to keep it from being fluff. I liked the Alphas and really liked Rayne. I wasn't thrilled with the favoritism she showed Richard and would have liked more interaction between the guys. Honestly, I would have liked more interactions as a group that weren't sexual. More time to connect. Still, as a standalone, the author did deliver a complete and entertaining story. Next time, maybe not so many fart references, please.

I’m deliberately choosing not to post a star review of this book because I did decide to DNF it as 55%. I wanted a record of it though. There aren’t that many contemporary omegaverse options out there and I don’t want to start this one again by accident.

Now…why did I DNF? It’s an interesting story, but the author’s voice doesn’t work for me. I don’t mean to say anything negative against it - which is why I didn’t finish it and rate it low - but it’s not for me. Everything is very succinct and to the point. But it’s to a level that actually makes it feel very dry to me. Like I said, I’m interested in the story itself, but the telling of it feels very wooden to me.

I feel like the author put in work to ensure there wasn’t a bunch of extraneous detail or ‘throw-away’ words, but lost all flavor in the process. It’s a strong story with interesting plot points, but it’s just not writing I particularly enjoy. I will take a look at the author’s work in the future. I believe she has strong potential and isn’t afraid to let a little more of her voice bleed into her future stories.

Please note - there is no star on this for a reason. This ‘review’ doesn’t mean that I don’t recommend the book. It just means it’s not for me. And that I DNF’d. I’m also not shelving it elsewhere because I don’t think unfinished books belong on other shelves. Also, it forces me to keep it on ‘read’ so that’s why it’s there.

This book was a delicious story, mouth watering scenes, and a dash of laughs RH that had me laughing, loving, and not wanting to put it down. Rayne makes hilarious jokes that had me choking on my coffee, and wanting to hang out with her in real life. Cameron definitely had Golden Retriever energy (in the best way), and he definitely made sure things didn’t get egg-stra serious. William is my other favorite of the men, gentle giant that reads has my attention any day.
This omegaverse book is my favorite so far, hands down.

The couple: James/Cameron/Spencer/Richard and Rayne

Romance trope: omegaverse
Series: Get Knotted!
Length: 290 pages

Plot: Rayne is ready to look for a pack of her own when she is kidnapped by some rogue alphas. One of those alphas helps her escape and another pack comes in to save her as well. Now she will have to put together her pack, bring a couple of brothers back together, and stay out of danger. Oh, and weather her heat with alphas she doesn't know all that well.

Commentary: I'm not certain that I've ever read the word "fart" so many times in a romance novel.
Also, I felt like the whole pampered princess/crude dirty talker was a weird dichotomy. I feel like the characters weren't truly developed - they were a little one-dimensional to me. As well, there were things that weren't really explained and the world itself had enough differences from other omegaverses that it was confusing without the explanations. It fell flat for me.
Also, Richard was a weird mishmash of things, none of which made me want to forgive him for going along with a kidnapping that would have ended in an omega virgin being gangraped.

Previous book in the series: Tied in Knots
Next book in the series: Tying the Knot

For anyone wondering that is the beginning of chapter 42 and the chapter after the group sex with the infamous fisting scene.

The story was sweet, the conflict felt mostly manufactured and light and the sex may have been explicit to some but I would have felt the same about a fade to black scene.

Let’s be honest here, this book was mostly a lead up to sex and it wasn’t very good. It sort of seemed like there should have been emphasis on the relationships and the sweetness than the sex based on how much sex content vs relationship content there was. But there wasn’t much emphasis on either.

The relationship build was very instalove, which doesn’t bother me especially in omegaverse stories. Scent sympathetic characters being driven by their primal emotions is kind of why I read OVs. But the trade off is hella sex scenes. Neither was very strong or good in this book.

The descriptions of the sex acts were pretty vanilla and lacked feeling. I would have preferred more descriptors, I guess? It was a lot of “he put his hand inside her and she moaned.”

Wont be finishing this one and probably won’t try any more in the series unless I’m really out of options.

This is such an amazing omegaverse book that gives you a sweet omega that knows what she wants and isn't afraid to speak her mind. You start out with a very sweet introduction and then are hit with a major whopper that just keeps building!
Rayne is a very strong omega and she definitely seems confident in herself and it shows in how she reacts to the mess that fell in her lap. Then we have some sexy strong alphas that also have some sore history that you learn more about throughout the book. Rayne's father is also mixed in some dangerous dealings that she slowly learns about. My favorite moment was the Humpty Dumpty incident that just had me dying, especially with Camerons reaction!

This book is a major must read, it starts as a slow burn with a major build up and plenty of tension as well as action packed that will get the heart racing. I loved the sweet moments and how each alpha has their own nature that rayne helped bring to the surface.

I absolutely loved this book and need more of Eve's Omegaverse books!

Standalone in series

💜Contemporary Omegaverse
💜First person/ Multi POV
💜No MM
💜5 alphas
💜Twins
💜Fisting scene
💜FMC is not a virgin
💜MCs have been with other omegas
💜Double Knot
💜No OW drama or cheating
💜Kidnapping
💜Handbag comes in clutch

FMC- Rayne
MCs- James, Richard, Spencer, William and Cameron

Well this was better then the first but not by much. I liked the FMC better in this. I wasn’t sure at first cuz of her ‘princess’ vibe but she grew on me. Again with the ‘3 months later’ searching for her. Author must like 3 lol

Kidnapped, but this time by bad guys, mostly. They want to use her to get to her dad. They plan on biting and r@ping her. Thankfully though, Richard is there and gets her out before anything happens.

Richard and James are twins and Spencer is their younger brother. I liked them all but they weren’t really fleshed out. Just like the first book, this was insta love. They all treat her nice and win her over pretty quickly.

This happened in the first book too, where an alpha can bite them and it means they have a claim on them but it’s not a mating bite. I don’t get the difference as these are the first omega books I read where bites mean more then one thing. So if it’s not on their neck, it’s not a mating bite….hmmmm.

I usually like the trope where one MC is the only exception of another MC (for example when MC1 is mean to everyone but shows MC2 a sweet side).
In this book there is a character that specifically says he's asexual BUT with Rayne he feels things and wants to have sex with her all the time and also he's afraid this "sensation" will go away.
I hate how the author chose to write about it.

Also, this book is meant to make you laugh, there are a lot of jokes and "funny" inner thoughts. That said, i personally think that even in these types of books there must be times that when the situation is serious, the dialogues must be serious too. Instead here we find a scene in which the FMC needed to describe her kidnappers but she kept saying one guy had a frog face, that's it. Even when people asked her multiple times to be more specific (hair/eyes color, if they had scars etc..) she was like "i don't know how to describe him better than this, he has a frog face".

DNF (obviously) and i don't plan to read this author ever again.

I have really fallen in love with omega verse books because of how possessive alphas are or can be. Knot a Tie is like honey!! Sweet and beloved!! I do want to mention that there is a trigger warning you should read before the book. This book isn't by any means dark but some stuff does happen that might not be okay for some. Please check that out before reading! 🖤 As I was reading, I didn't expect the direction of the book to go the way it did. But let me just say that Rayne stood tall and proud! And the alphas..... 🤤 🤤. My heart hurt a little for James but in the end, it was all good in the hood! 😝 I loved that there was so much passion for the omega and no matter what, they did what they needed for their pack, including Rayne. Knot a Tie was kind of a slow burn, but worth it. Once you got to the spice...lets just say, it was spicy! Kinda makes me want my own pack lol. 😈 I hope you enjoy this book as much as I have! 🖤
Happy Reading! 😈

Eve is crushing the omegaverse genre and Knot a Tie is a beautiful story with so many layers it can't help but draw you in. You will root for each if these characters to become who they're meant to be and get a chance at their own HEA.

Rayne is the omega at the centre of this book she is beautiful, feisty and has sass for days. She is pulled from her life by a group of lose Alphas and directly into the arms of someone who sends her world into a tail spin.

I love the Alphas in this book each individual has their own challenges that they have to face and whether Rayne is the catalyst, the reason or the goal she helps them become who they were always meant to be.

The chapters are filled with emotion and humour woven together seamlessly it makes for an eggcellent read .

A good read but…

It’s a sweet omega verse story. I just .. didn’t click with the characters personally. The story itself is well flushed out and has multiple POVS which is always nice. It wasn’t hard to tell whose head we were in at any given time. Overall I would recommend that anyone give the book a chance. I think for me personally maybe I’m not in the right headspace and to be fully pulled in by the story . DNF at 59% . That being said eve is one of my favorite authors so If you’re like me and this book missed the mark for you make sure to check out some of her other series. They’re all great.

Seriously regret reading this. This is my second omegaverse from this author. The first one was ok and so I decided to try another figuring worst case it would be just ok like the last one. This was so much worse. First the author spends way too much time on the weak subplots and at the beginning there is hardly anytime spent on the omega/alphas relationship. It takes an extraordinarily unnecessary amount of time to get to the main event. The whole thing is just weak and it was often times a chore to keep reading. I need help because this really should have been a DNF for me.

P.S. i absolutely hate this authors take on nests

2⭐️ so many issues with this but I did read it all the way through in less than a day sooooo… 2 stars…

Good god Rayne was not likable. She was annoying and entitled and bratty and the guys just fall all over her cuz she smells good. I get the whole omegaverse scent thing but that’s just a little too unrealistic.

The spicy scenes made me frustrated because they literally are not possible. I won’t go into it more but several acts would literally not be possible the way they played out.

The conflict came to a deflated conclusion. Nothing happened but everything was resolved… just meh…

Not going to be continuing this series.

Each book in the series..

So far I’ve read books 2&3 in this series and while small details are changed I feel like each book is a replica of the previous book. It’s different characters but the storyline is so very similar other than a few details it’s like I just read the same book twice. Which suck for lack of originality and creativity. They aren’t bad books, but there are even replica scenes that have the same words verbatim. Why? So, unfortunately I’m at a cross roads. Do I continue the series in hope the storyline is completely different or will I waste time reading something that looks like self plagiarism?

Insta-ish love omegaverse story

Another fab omegaverse story. Eve's writing is so beautiful, she brings all the feels to every book she writes and they are just so easy to read. I have to admit that I was seriously worried about Rayne when she was at the house in Southall with Richard. But oh the feels with all of them, but especially Richard and James! It was also so cool having an omega who would go to bat against her father for the pack and the life she wanted. Definitely worth a read!

ummmm

Ok, so I’m British and although I get that our grasp of the English language is different to our American counterparts I will admit to struggling with the language used in this book. Yes we say some of the words but oh boy it was English used words maxed out and then some. I found it slightly cringey to be honest. The story is ok but it’s not the best. There is a huge plot fail. They’re after her father and her ex gave her location away……by default as she was living with her parents at the time his location was also revealed to the baddies!!!

keeping quite in the dead of night

This book was so good!!

I’m reading this in bed, while my fiancé is sleeping next to me and I am having to force myself to be quite because I am gasping at the filthy words in this book! Lol I loved it.

I wasn’t expecting it… but it’s exactly what I needed!

I’m so happy that Richard was able to rejoin his back but I do wish we could have seen more of why he was gone and maybe a little more resolve in the pack.

Also why was Mick doing what he was doing? Did I miss that?!

Read it!

Great omegaverse story. I didn't think it was quite as good as the first one but it still hits that 5 star rating. I loved the character of Rayne, I thought she was really down to earth and knew what she wanted out of life. Her Alpha's were protective without being overpossessive and really came through for Rayne when the danger hit. Loved the steamy scenes, there was absolutely nothing about this book that I didn't like. Can't wait to read the rest of the books in this series!

This was an okay read. I think the plot would’ve been good but the audiobook narration wasn’t. I couldn’t tell which character was speaking since the narration was all (or mostly) the same voice. It was so distracting that it took away from the rest of the book. I’d recommend reading this in a different format and skipping the audiobook or immersion reading to you have the visual cue for who is speaking.

Richard is trash. I don’t see how we are supposed to be okay with him. He is fine kidnapping and assisting in the gang raping of an omega until he realizes he is sexually attracted to her. Suddenly he realizes this is bad and he wants to save her. What’s more SHE is okay with a man who only cared once he decided he wanted her for himself. He’s still BAD and the weakest man child of all time. Yuck. The rest were just boring including FMC. I got to 50% then had to throw in the towel.

A lighthearted, spicy omega romance with all the alpha tension you can handle? Knot a Tie: Get Knotted! by Eve Newton is the playful, cheeky read you didn't know you needed!

Our sassy omega heroine handles getting snatched off the street with charm and wit, armed with only her designer handbag and a growing pack of adoring alphas.

This reverse harem romance serves up plenty of steam, laughs, and heart-melting pack moments. If you're into omega dynamics, sexy alphas, and fun-packed romance, this one's a must-read!

I swear to you, Rayne was my spirit Omega while I was reading this book! While I felt for her in times while reading this book, I adored her spunk through out it. The way that these Alphas refused to believe that they need an Omega, the way that they fell for her was perfect! Another fantastic read by Eve!

Good read , sweet

Low angst, no other woman drama and definitely no cheating

A sweet read with an unusual soon on an Alphas sexuality, which was a first for me and I doubt any other Omegaverse has it (no spoilers)

My only snag in my opinion 2 of the mmc didn't seem to be as present as the others

Really liked this book, the characters, and the storyline. My only question is in British English is the saying “like a fart…” used a lot? I mean it was used at least 4 times and threw me off each time… anyway I would recommend for a quick easy read
