PT Chegamos ao fim desta minissérie de três volumes.

Gostei bastante da série no geral. Tenho pena de alguns dos desfechos, mas fazem parte da narrativa e da mensagem que o autor pretende transmitir. No final, nem tudo são finais felizes.

Senti, no entanto, que, especialmente nesta parte final, houve uma grande volta para chegar a uma determinada conclusão. Não tenho a certeza de que o autor não tenha tentado ser mais elaborado do que era necessário, mas acaba por se aceitar.

EN We've reached the end of this three-volume miniseries.

I really enjoyed the series overall. I do wish some of the storylines had ended differently, but those endings are part of the narrative and the message the author is trying to convey. In the end, not everything has a happy ending.

That said, I felt that, especially towards the end, the story took a rather roundabout route to reach a certain conclusion. I'm not entirely sure the author wasn't trying to make things more elaborate than necessary, but it works well enough.

C'était bon! Un peu déçue de la fin, mais au moins le karma rattrape les coupables. Un bon thriller, le 2e tome est nettement le meilleure de cette petite série. J'ai l'impression que l'auteure a voulu dénoncer une triste réalité vécue par plusieurs jeunes filles et cela a été fait par moment de façon très graphique et cru. Pour public averti.

Conclusion très satisfaisante à cette histoire affreuse.
Au final, j'ai trouvé la relation entre Mako et Mizuki très belle et touchante. C'est ça qui m'a vraiment plu, en plus de la conclusion : faut le dire, on est contents de voir que ces trois ordures aient mal fini...

Ce manga m'a aussi fait réfléchir à un sujet : a-t-on vraiment besoin d'être graphique et cru pour aborder de tels sujets ?
Pour le format manga, je me disais au début que c'était un non catégorique. Mais à la fin de cette lecture, je me dis que peut-être ? Il n'est pas aisément possible d'avoir une narration comme dans un livre (qui permet de donner le ressenti d'une victime, par exemple) et on ne peut pas jouer sur le son (voix, musique, bruits etc) comme dans un film ou une série.
J'ai été beaucoup gênée par certaines planches dans Adabana et même si je persiste à dire que certaines n'avaient réellement aucune utilité (déso, je me remets pas du plan sur les boobs de l'avocate...), je peux comprendre la volonté de l'autrice de choquer et bousculer son lectorat.
Mais voilà, il y a quelques années, lorsque j'ai vu Gran Torino, j'ai vraiment été traumatisée (j'ai pas d'autre mot) par cette scène où une jeune fille revient chez elle après avoir été agressée. Dans mon souvenir, on ne voit pas l'agression, "seulement" le résultat et l'impact a quand même été là.
Est-ce que Adabana m'aurait autant bousculée si de telles stratégies avaient été employées ? Franchement, j'en sais rien.

Et je vais m'arrêter là parce que j'ai l'impression de tourner en rond dans cette réflexion lol

This was a brutal, devastating read. Enjoying it really wasn't an option, but I was riveted throughout. The author handles sensitive topics with empathy, tight storytelling, and beautifully detailed art. Things may not magically get better by the end, but there is a sense of closure. I can't foresee myself ever rereading this, but I am still glad I read it.

The ending is quite good! Far from the most spectacular thriller, but hey, credit where it's due: the author stuck the landing. It could have used more polishing in the early parts, but for its length it delivers.

If all of the nasty stuff happening in it are not entirely off-putting to you, it's a read I can recommend.

Haven’t read a manga this good since I read Blood on the Tracks last year.

It’s a story about two troubled girls who try to support each other in their darkest hour. Mizuki is a quiet girl dealing with the deaths of her brother and father while constantly being mistreated by her cold hearted mother. Mako puts on the facade of a cheerful perfect girl to hide the sexual abuse she’s experiencing from her own family and to hide that she’s the victim of an obsessive stalker. They both have sad and lonely lives, but they find comfort in defending and loving each other.

When Mako is believed to be found dead, Mizuki is launched into a dark and twisted murder mystery that slowly uncovers the gruesome truth about the whole situation and the sick secrets behind the culprits' motives who drove both girls to this point.

This was thrilling, shocking and emotional from beginning to end. It deals with some really sensitive subjects and criticizes the legal system for allowing this type of abuse and neglect toward children to happen and then letting them take the fall once they either die or turn to crime to set themselves free from their abusers.

There were quite a few twists I didn’t see coming and the way the stories of each character changed depending on the perspective you’re viewing them from really added to the dread and tragedy of uncovering the full truth of what really happened. Some characters are more selfless and heroic than they first appear while others turn out to be the complete opposite in the worst ways possible.

The two main girls were wonderfully written characters and the resolution to their heartbreaking story really hits where it hurts.

Dark, sad and oddly beautiful in some ways. Great ending.

Sometimes, no matter how hard you try, you can't save everyone. Or even one person. But does that mean you shouldn't even try? It's a question with no real answer in this final volume, but I think that Mizuki does find closure of a sort.

The monsters are always out there. They can't always be defeated. You have to do what's going to make you feel better - even if it means being consumed.

c'était tlmt biennnnn, j'ai laché ma petite larmichette a la fin j'avoue..... mako méritait vrmt d'être heureuse ma chérie 😢 mais j'ai vrmt aimé comment l'histoire a été amenée; les sujets évoqués qui, malheureusement, sont encore bcp trop d'actualité dans ce monde étaient bien écrits (et c pas souvent le cas lol); voir mizuki se battre jusqu'au bout pour son amie m'a trop touché... (♡) et surtout ça prouve encore une fois que les hommes sont tous des malades mentaux dégueulasse

A pretty satisfying conclusion to a story I swore I didn't like two volumes ago. Glad I stuck with it. This isn't the edition that I read... but it's the closest thing with an actual page count! 😅

Adabana was such an interesting read, but wow...it completely broke my heart.

Without giving anything away, the story follows a girl who is trying to protect her friend's dignity and the truth about her life after a tragedy. It starts off feeling like a mystery, but it quickly becomes so much more than that. Every chapter had me wanting to know what really happened, and by the end I just felt incredibly sad for the two girls involved.

What really stuck with me was how real the story felt. At its heart, it's about friendship, but it's also about the devastating reality that some young girls can face. The emotional and intimate exploitation that's shown throughout the story is difficult to read, especially because it isn't coming from strangers. Sometimes it's the people who are supposed to love you, protect you, and make you feel safe who end up causing the most harm. I think that's what made this story hit so hard for me.

I also appreciated that the manga didn't feel like it was using those heavy topics just for shock value. It takes the time to show how trauma affects people, how it can completely change the course of someone's life, and how difficult it can. It's heartbreaking to think about, especially knowing that stories like this aren't entirely fictional for some people.

I will say that while the mystery had me completely hooked in the first volume, it started to lose me a bit about halfway through the second. The mystery itself wasn't really the strongest part of the story for me. It did exactly what it needed to do by pulling me in, but what kept me turning the pages was seeing the full picture of the main character's journey and learning more about her friend's story. By the end, I was far more invested in the emotional payoff than I was in solving what had happened.

One thing I also have to mention is the artwork. The paneling itself isn't anything particularly flashy or experimental, but honestly, it didn't need to be. The art adds so much to the overall feeling of dread and sadness that hangs over the story. The emotions on the characters' faces were so well done that there were times they genuinely unsettled me. The sadness, panic, desperation, fear, and disgust were depicted so convincingly that I almost forgot I was looking at drawings. Some expressions honestly scared me a little because they captured those emotions so perfectly. The artwork doesn't just tell the story—it makes you sit with every painful moment alongside the characters, and I think that's one of its biggest strengths.

This is definitely a heavy read, both emotionally and because of the topics it covers. If you're thinking about picking it up, I'd really recommend looking into the content warnings beforehand, as there are some scenes that can be incredibly difficult to get through.

That being said, I'm really glad I read Adabana. It's one of those stories that stuck with me long after I finished it—not because of the mystery, but because of the people at the center of it. It's heartbreaking, frustrating, and incredibly human. While it's not an easy manga to recommend because of its subject matter, I do think it's a powerful one. It tells a story about friendship, resilience, and giving a voice back to someone whose story deserved to be told with dignity. That's what I'll remember most about it.

J’ai adoré avoir tout les points de vue mais aussi toutes les réflexions et arguments des personnages, notamment ceux des avocats.

Adabana, tomo 3 es un cierre demoledor. No espectacular en el sentido ruidoso de la palabra, sino devastador en lo emocional y lo psicológico. Si los dos primeros volúmenes construían una atmósfera de sospecha, trauma y ambigüedad moral, este último tomo se atreve a mirar directamente a las consecuencias. Y lo hace sin suavizar nada.

Lo más notable es que NoN no opta por el giro sorpresivo como recurso final, sino por algo más incómodo: la comprensión. La verdad —o la versión más honesta posible de ella— no funciona como alivio, sino como peso. Este tomo termina de consolidar la idea central de la obra: el crimen no es un punto de partida aislado, sino la culminación de una cadena de silencios, manipulación emocional y violencia soterrada.

Narrativamente, el volumen es más introspectivo que los anteriores. Ya no se trata tanto de descubrir qué ocurrió, sino de entender por qué nadie pudo —o quiso— detenerlo. Esa transición del misterio hacia la responsabilidad colectiva es uno de los mayores aciertos de la serie. No hay absoluciones fáciles. No hay monstruos caricaturescos. Hay personas rotas, dinámicas tóxicas y un entorno que permitió que todo escalara.

Comparativamente, mientras muchos thrillers psicológicos contemporáneos buscan impactar con revelaciones finales contundentes, Adabana apuesta por una conclusión más amarga y reflexiva. En ese sentido, se acerca más al drama psicológico literario que al thriller comercial. El horror aquí no es el acto violento en sí, sino el entramado emocional que lo hizo posible. Eso la coloca en una categoría más cercana al análisis social que al simple suspense.

Visualmente, este tomo es especialmente potente. Hay un uso más marcado del silencio, de las pausas, de los espacios vacíos. Las viñetas parecen respirar con dificultad. La composición transmite cansancio emocional, como si la historia misma estuviera agotada por el peso de lo que revela. Es un trabajo gráfico muy consciente de su impacto.

Uno de los aspectos más interesantes del cierre es cómo resignifica todo lo anterior. Después de este tomo, es imposible releer los primeros sin notar nuevas capas. Lo que parecía manipulación puede verse como miedo; lo que parecía frialdad puede entenderse como autoprotección. La ambigüedad moral no desaparece, pero se vuelve más compleja.

También es destacable que la obra no romantiza el trauma. No hay catarsis gloriosa. La reparación, si existe, es parcial y dolorosa. Ese rechazo a embellecer la violencia o el sufrimiento es una de las razones por las que considero que la serie funciona tan bien.

En conjunto, Adabana termina siendo una trilogía compacta, coherente y profundamente incómoda. No es una historia diseñada para el entretenimiento ligero, sino para provocar reflexión. Explora la adolescencia no como etapa idealizada, sino como terreno frágil donde la identidad, la presión social y la necesidad de pertenecer pueden volverse destructivas.

Cinco estrellas muy merecidas para un cierre inteligente, emocionalmente honesto y narrativamente sólido. Una obra que incomoda, que exige atención y que permanece mucho después de haber pasado la última página.

Il primo volume si apre nel vivo della vicenda, con la scoperta della morte di una delle due protagoniste, Mako Igarashi, e la confessione da parte di Mizuki, una sua compagna di classe, ma quale é il movente, cosa ha portato a questa scelta, quale segreto nascondevano le due ragazze?
All’interno il quest’opera vengono trattati argomenti molto pesanti, si parla di suicidio, violenza sessuale, vendita non consensuale di immagini e video intimi, tutti temi che vengono affrontati via via nella storia, con segreti sempre più raccapriccianti che vengono a galla.
Uno dei grandi punti forti di quest’opera é senz’altro la sua capacità di intrattenere e coinvolgere il lettore, sfido chiunque ad avere tutti i volumi a casa e non divorarseli uno dietro l’altro (vincente quindi la scelta di Dynit di vendere la serie anche tramite cofanetto).
Interessante anche la rappresentazione dell’uomo all’interno dell’opera, non entro però nei dettagli per non fare spoiler.
Infine anche il tratto di disegno l’ho trovato magnifico, una serie insomma che mi ha completamente convinta.

Leí este manga cuando todavía estaba en emisión, lo llegué a terminar y me gustó. Lo vi de pasada cuando iba a por otro libro y lo acabé comprando para releerlo ya que no me acordaba.
La historia es completamente devastadora con un estilo de dibujo precioso. No es para todo el mundo ya que trata temas muy fuertes de forma muy gráfica, pero el mensaje final es tan importante.
Y me cago en los hombres.

Último de los tres tomos de Adabana que, en la linea de los dos anteriores, depara pocas sorpresas. La serie es corta y concisa y va a lo que va, supongo que por eso no hay mucho giro de guión ni desarrollo excesivo de personajes y demás.

Pero vamos, buen dibujo, una historia típica de miniserie de Netflix y poco más.

Sentimientos encontrados con este manga. La historia es durísima y el final se siente como si te hubieran pegado un puñetazo en la boca. Ahora que he leído la obra al completo puedo decir que el thriller psicológico 'Adabana', ha resultado ser un viaje tan intenso como perturbador. Para mi, NON ha hecho con esta serie manga un trabajo increíble que merece la pena ser leído.
