Got this book as a loan and will have to buy a copy for myself. The poems are genuinely good and the messages in them even better. Poetry books aimed for kids often disappoint in terms of poetic quality, but this one really stood out!

This is such a lovely collection of poetry for all ages. Each poem has a message that will help someone, if not everyone, at some point during their life.

Being You is the most beautifully inspiring, beautifully illustrated, collection of poems for children.
This is the perfect book for reading aloud to your children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Confident readers will also enjoy reading it to themselves. It’s the perfect collection for them to lose themselves in or to dip in and out of whenever they need a little comfort and reassurance.
Each poem offers young people the best advice for a happy, healthy relationship with themselves and the world they’re growing up in. In fact, there are lessons throughout this book for us all, no matter how old we are.

I read the kindle edition of this book, which was lovely, but I recommend you purchase the hardcover edition if you can as I imagine it must be stunning and the best way to fully appreciate the illustrations as well as the words.

This book was amazing! The poems were incredible and all had amazing messages! I would recommend this to absolutely anyone who loves poetry!

I was recommended this delightful book by a colleague who bought it for her daughter and I loved it so much! I wish I had this when I was a child, I used to loved rhyming poetry that was straight forward but thoughtful and I never found enough books like this. I also wish we had more books with the overall message these poems explore such as confidence being yourself, and encouraging kindness and courage. The illustrations are gorgeous too and really bring the words alive on the page. This book is like one big warm hug and a must read for everyone it’s perfect for at home and in the classroom.

What a delightful book. My older grandchildren like to dip in and out of this and some of the poems are suitable for them to read to the younger children. My youngest especially likes ,share your feelings and can recite it herself (with acting, hand gestures and loud noises). Something for everyone in this book and excellent illustrations too !

Being You by Daniel Thompson is an amazing collection of poems about being positive covering themes like friendship, self-belief, confidence and failure, as well as many more important themes which often feature a large part of both children's and teenagers' lives.

Filled with rhyming poems that are lyrical and whimsical, that are also deeply motivational and honest. A great book to share and inspire with children of all ages, adults included! :)

An absolutely stunning book of positive poems; these 50 poems full of inspirational and encouraging poems are a joy to read, hear, and see as they are so beautifully illustrated. Although the principal audience is young people, these poems have such joyous messages of love and self care that can be appreciated by the entire family. The colourful poems provide calm advice in the midst of a chaotic daily life. Mulling over poems such as Stay Calm or Leave Your Worries Behind create a little breathing space in a busy day and a moment to reflect. Poems like Stay Weird and Carry Compassion are just so inspiring, and I can only hope that my own children bring these lessons with them through life. Absolutely love this. The illustrations are top tier. Super eye pleasing. The poems are very heartwarming. A coming of age book suitable for teens. I finished it in one sitting. Thinking about sharing this with my students....💙

This is a fantastic collection of poems focused on mental health, self esteem and being comfortable with who you are.
I love the presentation of the poems and the bright, colourful illustrations.
This is a great collection, one I will definitely purchase and one that would be very at home in every classroom.
