Stagediving Into Recliners

This collection focuses on the period in my life where I came to grips with the idea that I was transitioning from my frenetic youth in to a more "comfortable" phase of life by reflecting on my past, dealing with the loss of loved ones taken too soon, and understanding what priorities mattered most.

The creativity that it takes to turn such a wonderful book of poetry into something I can feel in my bones and sing to myself is incredible. It's like having the soundtrack to John's life, feeling the ups and the downs, the big moments, and the pure joy of having a child and a family. “Parental Control(s)” and “Space Junk” were two of my favorites, but honestly, they are so many that resonate with me it’d be impossible to name them all. 10/10 recommend to everyone
