When I Grow Up, I Want To Be A Dinosaur is an enthusiastic, funny, magical, historical, creative, and educational story! I genuinely learned so much while reading this book and the information is presented in the most engaging way. This adorable main character has her heart set on growing up to be a dinosaur. She evaluates all of her options naming lots of dinos, their unique traits, and fun facts about them. Then her dad crushes her dream.......he tells her all the dinosaurs are dead. This cute main character shows her resiliency bouncing back and setting her heart on being a paleontologist. If she can't be a dinosaur she will be the next best thing! She explains what paleontologists do, shares some non-dinos she can study, maps out the best archeological sites in the world and what was found there, details how to protect fossils in transport, and so much more. This book includes a detailed wealth of knowledge. I love the enthusiasm all of the information is presented with and appreciate how detail oriented this book is. All dinosaur lovers will be captived while reading this book. It is truly special with its unique combination of genuine love for dinosaurs and detailed education!

Oh my goodness, thanks so very much Ms Ruvalcaba, for this outstanding, well illustrated, informative, colorful book about dinosaurs! I give you three thumbs 👍👍👍 up for writing a book loaded with fun facts and words that we Googled to pronounce which caused me and my grandson to add to our vocabulary. It put us to work for our wisdom and knowledge! Thanks! I would recommend this book to parents and grandparents to read to their children to further their education and learning new things and words. I gave this book 5 stars because it gave us a challenge to look up and learn new words about dinosaurs! Be Blessed!❤️🙏🏾

I have heard more than one child say "When I Grow Up, I Want to Be a Dinosaur" - how delightful to find a story that they can relate to so strongly!
The illustrations in this book are absolutely darling, and I LOVE the notes added throughout. You can read the narrative and join the main character on her journey to discover what Paleontologists do, or you can choose to dive deeper (as all my little dinosaur fans inevitably do!) and learn some more amazing facts about dinosaurs, fossils and other prehistoric life.
If your child/ren are passionate about dinosaurs, you need this book!

Very Informative and Educational!
If you are a dinosaur lover, you will definitely like everything about this book. And if you have any interest in knowing about dinosaurs; you will surely learn a lot from it. The story was inspired by a true story and I personally liked how the author wanted to be both an author and paleontologist when she grows up. It is so beautiful to witness a dream coming true. Well done!

Fantastic!
The illustrations were beautiful and the story was engaging and gave tons of information on dinosaurs and the job of a paleontologist. My kiddo loved the little factoid stickies; they reminded us of the old Magic School Bus books.

Really enjoyed it.
I really enjoyed sharing this book with my daughter and plan to recommend it for my nephew.
It's Entertaining. Colorful. Informative.
The MAP in the middle is great.
Downside to the ebook.
Wasn't able to read each page individually, format showed landscape for 2 pages on the vertical screen. So, I was enlarging and shrinking periodically.

What a lovely story as my first book of 2023, and where was this book 16 years ago when my kid was obsessed with dinosaurs?
