Either Peace or War

Rate this book
When my friends discuss deployments to Iraq, we break them into three separate and unequal parts. The first deployment is when America started in Kuwait and pushed north to Kuwait. "Our deployment," is when I met the majority of friends that I still talk to today. This book refers to, "THE deployment," because it's the one we discuss the least and remember the most.

I have had this book since July/August I think. I knew I wanted to be in the right place and right frame of mind to read it. Aka when my kids weren’t up my hind end and I can concentrate.

Either Peace or War did not disappoint!!!! All the feels and emotions in every word and chapter. I laughed , cried and stayed on the edge of my seat with every step or mission they took.

This is definitely going to be one of my favs this year.
Graydon McWilliams is far from mediocre as a person and author. This book knocked my socks off and enlightened me to world that I honestly had no real clue about.

This is a truly remarkable and powerful piece of literature. A beautifully written story that wraps the delicate details of a soldier’s deployment with humor, wit, and thought provoking content. McWilliams doesn’t waste a word, conveys his ideas clearly, and paints a vivid picture of a life most of us could never have imagined. Every emotion of the human condition was invoked, with fierce intensity and purpose. Not for the faint of heart, but so worth it. Five stars.
