Presenting Round Two of the Newark NJ Chapter of the RBMC:

The insanity continues with Pain fighting to protect Butterfly from himself while his other psychotic personality--Kult, plots nefariously against them all.

Butterfly needs to figure out which of the five brothers is trustworthy enough to help her find the true owner of their mind while surviving the turf wars between two powerful MC clubs and one deadly gang.

Note: This story spans six books as it delves into the life of a man with multiple personalities. The heavy psycho thriller genre in the story moves within the MC genre of the story, causing fluctuations between the two from book to book.

I’m a husband and author, and I may be a little religious about both. I like writing hot sex and encapsulating it in the delicate white silk of devotion, commitment, and psychotic obsession.

A complex story you have to pay very close attention to in order to follow along. When you get characters with multiple personalities you go on a journey you weren't quite sure you were anticipating. Its a little disorienting to follow who is what but Butterfly and Pain wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be in the beginning. Quite unique in its own right, I've never read a book with such a different take on romance.

Butterfly and Pain is the 2nd book from Lucian Bane's Royal Bastards MC: Newark, NJ Chapter series. I'll say now if you don't read the 1st book in the series you will be lost reading this one or any others in the series. These books aren't for the light at heart either. They are really heavy and have you questioning everything.
This book is about a man with multiple personalities and you get to meet and get to know all of them. I started off thinking they were all different but the more I read the more I realize they're a lot more alike than I originally thought. The guys are still trying to protect their Butterfly from being in the middle of a gang war going down in Newark. They are also on the mission of finding out about themselves. They don't remember anything from before their brother Levi, the President of the MC found them on the street and gave them a home. Parts of themselves are locked in their head and they're determined to unlock those pieces and figure out their past with the help of their Butterfly since she's the key to unlock it. But like always going into the past has its own complications and you might not like what you find.
The more I read this series the more I like it because it's getting easier to understand and follow along. Each individual personality is starting to stand out more so it's a bit easier to tell who is who. This one was titled perfectly because Pain was at the forefront for most of it. Kult is becoming my favorite personality at this point because there is more to him than he lets on and I like that and his games. I wish we could have seen Harlow a bit more since they agree he is the glue that keeps them together. He's also the most juvenile of them in my opinion. He acts like a teenager half the time and the others consider him Butterfly's pet. Each of the guys have different nicknames for Butterfly like Beastie, my favorite which is Kults nickname for her. Augustine has come a long way in this book also, crossing lines he never dared cross before. The only thing I really didn't like was that if you didn't know this was an RBMC book you would never know. This series is not like any others in the Royal Bastards MC to the point you forget they exist. They were in the book for a minute to have a meet and greet party that of course went wrong but then they were gone. If this is supposed to be an MC book it should contain at least some MC elements to it.
This book is left on a cliffhanger like they all are. And I'm asking the same questions they're asking themselves and want to know the answers as bad as they do. How did they get the way they are? Did they really start out as 6 individuals and is Handy the 6th one locked behind the wall? Why can't they remember their past? The next book up in Augustine's and that will be a good one with him having to come to terms with being a sinner now and overcoming it.
This series is the first I've read of Lucian Bane and man he has blown me away. The way he handles religion and mixes it with psychotic is like nothing I've read before. And the steamy scenes are more spicy and explicit than I've ever read from a man before they definitely need to stay! I had to give it 4 stars! "She has our psychotic devotion as long as there's breath in our body"- Augustine. That quote sums their relationship up perfectly. I recommend this book for anyone who enjoys dark twisted romances and puzzles. You'll definitely enjoy this one!

I have read many books by this author, yet I get blown away each time. How Lucian invents these worlds and characters is beyond me. Surely it’s difficult enough to have two main leads but to have seven running round your mine?! Incredible.

This book perfectly leads off where Butterfly and Atlas finished, this is the second in the series.

- MC romance
- Steamy 🌶
- Twisted
- Dark
- Pain kink

In this book we get to delve deeper into these men, see what makes them tick a bit more and I am loving it!
I love the humour between them all, it’s darkly funny.

Pain is fighting butterfly at every turn, he doesn’t want his darkness to touch her. He is stubborn, strong and fiercely protective of her even if it is from himself.
We get to watch his struggle with these new feeling, wants and words.
Will he ever let her to what is needed to bring them all together?
Can he with hold his jealousy once they get it?

Butterfly what an incredibly strong woman! She is not to be underestimated, she has more power than even she knows. She will fight them at every turn to be able to help them, she believes that she can defeat their darkness and shine her light on them. Her faith is strong and has yet to let her down.
We know she’s strong but is she strong enough to do what she must?
Will her faith withstand it all and guide them?

This book has so much in it, MC drama, mystery, spice, so many emotions and of course in Lucian Bane fashion a cliffhanger that leaves you wanting more.
With each book there are so many more questions.. dragging me in and keeping me in its web.

Highly recommend

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!!!! There is no way I can even begin to give you a glimpse as to what is going on but this has got my heart racing, I'm flipping through pages so quickly while reading that I look like my grandmother's old cat clock's eyes rocking back and forth. Five men in one body while Butterfly holds the key and she doesn't know how to use it. This is one of the most exhilarating storylines I think I've read in a long time, perhaps ever. There's no way to not become invested in all of them which makes me a little fearful of what will happen if the doors become unlocked. Lucian Bane has created a masterpiece with this series and Pain's story is a small piece in a very large puzzle.

This bestseller will satisfy anyone who enjoys hot moments and thirsty passions. Pain sometimes confuses Butterfly with his feelings and actions. Thus, readers can even feel that once they've delved into the story.

After reading the first book, I was eager to read the second. In many chapters, Butterfly astonished me with a new perspective on the characters. At the same time, she showed strength in various ways that were necessary for all at the same time. Pain captivated me because he protected Butterfly of himself. Each page had me rooting for him to be himself.

It's worth a try!

Butterfly and Pain is the 2nd book from Lucian Bane's Royal Bastards MC: Newark, NJ Chapter series. It is not a normal mc book. It is so much more! You will be drawn into Butterfly and the man with six multiple personalities story. This one focuses on Butterfly and Pain. It will keep you glued to your kindle. It is dark and not for the faint of heart! It has twists and turns that will have your jaw dropping at times. It pulls you in and keeps you there as their story unfolds. You have to know what will happen next. Are you right or were you totally off base? I can not wait to read the next book!

Good read. I did like Atlas Kult Pain Handy and Harlow. Even Butterfly. I did like others like Levi and Becky. This was different as five in one body. I loved how they were with each other.I am enjoying this series. I. Looking forward to the next book. 4*.

Butterfly has decided to find out who really owns the body with 5 different personalities. She just needs to figure out who she can trust to help her do that. Pain is a little on the crazy side because he like to cause pain but he is trying to protect Butterfly from himself. It turns out that Butterfly isn't afraid of pain. In her life she has delt with alot of pain and so he isn't a big threat.

Book two of this Butterfly series is even stranger than the first and I believe from reading these first two books the rest will probably follow suit. Loving this series!

If you read Butterfly and Atlas, what are you doing reading this review???? You would have, obviously, grabbed the next book as soon as you read the last page!! This whole series is one of my favorites, so far. Lucian Bane stories are always a dark dive into the psyche, but with SO much heart in them. This is no different as Butterfly is still trying to figure out who she is dealing with and how to help them. If you don't have this book, stop reading and go get it!! Quickly....

....... And this still continues to mindf*** me, but in the best possible way!!
Every character has become special to me and the more that is revealed, the more my head spins and my heart clenches.
I cannot even begin to try and break this down for you, for fear of spoilers.
So..... go and one click this and find out yourself. I recommend you read Butterfly and Atlas first though, if you haven't already.
Cannot wait for the next one!!

Heart Stopping

The love and faith the characters show each other make my heart hurt. It's scary, it's beautiful and it's the type of love everyone seeks.

The crazy way Butterfly is able to discern each person and the intuitive way she knows to deal with them causes the suspense. They all have found their forever ride or die and they're fighting to get to the other side to be one with her.

The suspense, the emotions. Have tissues handy. Can't wait for the next installment.

Continuing on from book one, we see the relationship between Butterfly and the men that occupy one body in Augustine, Harlow, Atlas, Kult and in this one mostly we see Pains relationship with butterfly, we see the struggle to accept themselves within and with Butterfly added to the mix, along with the danger coming for the MC and what that means for them. another amazing read filled with dark themes, twists, desires, drama and more!

Butterfly and Pain: RBMC, Newark, NJ, Book2

Lucian Bane, is a master of twisted ,dark stories. The premise is a totally religious Chaplain, Augustine of the RBMC , that has suffered past trauma, and now has 5 demons residing in his vessel. Butterfly is a messenger of God and will do anything to help release the other 5 personalities, even if she must fall in love with each one of them. Loved this book.

This is the second book in the Newark NJ Chapter of the RBMC. Pain is now fighting to protect his butterfly from himself. However Kult is the one plotting against them. She is trying to figure out which of the five brothers that she can trust enough to help her find the true owner of their mind. But, they also have to survive a turf war between two powerful MC's and one deadly gang. There is so much going on in this book that it really keeps you on your toes. I loved every second of it.

This is the second in the series and should be read after Butterfly and Atlas. The story continues of Butterfly and the man with five personalities. Pain does his best to protect her from his psychotic personality, especially Kult. Butterfly is able to each of them and who is speaking when but she is convinced there is someone other than the five.

The story continues in Butterfly and Augustine.

Omg wow

I am Nancy Drew-ing all over this. It's sweet it's crazy and it has more twists that a Sherlock Holmes mystery. Can't wait for the rest and some azz kicking too. Because who ever screwed with pain and his brothers inside well their going to come to a sticky end at least I hope.

wow

This series just keeps getting better and better. Lucian’s mind is one big puzzle and I can’t help but get addicted to his stories. This book ends in a cliffhanger. Just a warning for those that don’t like these kinds of books. But this series is like a rush I can’t get enough of.

Strangeness

Describing the five and butterfly is like unraveling a puzzle. Each piece has its own unique shapes. Our brains are the same way. By adding a new piece our brain can go into overload. Working through this puzzle is confusing at its best. This means that the unravels with each new piece.
This story is intriguing to say the least.

Still twisted

The struggle continues. Still not much of an MC storyline - not sure what the storyline is other than this poor man/men. And Butterfly - I am not sure about her either. She wants to help them, individually and together. Still need more answers ….

The Key to Unlocking Pain

Butterfly will do anything to help them. Bit at what cost? Pain craves pain. In their quest to find the answer to who they are they discover more pieces to the puzzle only some of them don't seem to fit.

This is a great book and series.

Amazing

Lucian Bane is a true storyteller; mixing words and emotions to just the right conflagration. I am loving this series. This one is focusing on Butterfly and Pain. But all of the brothers are included a long the way. You won't be sorry to read this complex book.
