Unfortunately, despite what she tries to make herself believe Cheyenne Stenson knows she’s in danger. Not only has freedom been stripped from her, she has no choice but to depend on Mace Brandt.
But can she trust this powerful, secretive man?
It was so simple in the beginning. A reporter, she’d agreed to write a hard-hitting article about a sex club. She hadn’t known the Blind Spot is more than a place where people indulge their kinky fantasies. Now she does. Beneath the surface lies a sinister reality. Her employers become her captors.
She can’t comprehend Mace’s role in this frightening place. What she does know is that the potent man controls her body and mind. The longer he forces her to obey him, the more overwhelmed she feels. She should hate him, should do something, anything.
Under her "real" name, Vonna Harper has published more fiction than she can keep track of . These include category romances for the major players as well as the 'juicy' stuff. She also penned a series of well-received Native American historicals. One earned her finalist status in both the Women Writing the West Willa award and Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association. Before discovering romances, both erotic and otherwise, Vonna 'confessed' all kinds of nonsense for the confession magazines.
When asked about erotica research, she insists, "Of course I've time-traveled to the ancient Everglades, infiltrated bondage strongholds, done wilderness search and rescue, and spent a night trapped in a workout gym with Mr. Universe. How can I possibly write about something I haven't experienced?"
As for day jobs, "I've been a commercial pilot, brain surgeon, worked as a white-water river guide, bee keeper, snake charmer, and garbage collector."
An intense story that at times I found difficult to read but i did enjoy it overall.
Cheyenne is a natural submissive and has always wanted to explore the Master/Slave dynamic. Mace is a Master/Dom.
Both work for for a magazine that publishes stories that are on the Edge of society. Their bosses have set an assignment for Mace to Master Cheyenne so she can document the physical and mental journey into the domain. As they play and explore, they both find that personal emotions are becoming involved. This scares both of them but they should be more concerned about their bosses who are not who they think they are.

Cheyenne accepts a assignment to explore BDSM with Mace for Edge magazine. She is interested in it but has never done it. Mace, who is a dom, is going to introduce her to the enviroment. They are two people with broken pasts that will make the scenes show how the chemistry and trust slowly evolves between them. Add to this story devious producers of Edge and there is protective issues coming from Mace. This is deep look how being introduced to BDSM could be like.
